That youth intake...

You should improve that CB's pace, tho :o
They all need a bit of work but i plan on trying to play the youth as much as i can, the plan is to only sign one or two quality players from now on each window and try to bring the youth intake players into the squad.

****** that you are stuck with a 15 year old as 2nd choice striker. Theo and Podolski are good emergency options there.

can you post your tactics for us to check out? I know this is a story not a tactical thread, but I'd be interested in seeing what you've done

Ah its more out of preference than being stuck with him, when i look at how poor Podolski and Walcott have been for me up front i would rather play a youngster with the potential to be great and give him some game time. I reckon in the summer Podolski, Walcott and giroud will all be sold.

Heres my tactic nothing special View attachment 459297

April 2014 - Champions League Semi Finals

First Leg - Away To Man City

View attachment 459158

We were lucky to hang onto the draw in the end after Huntelaar smashed in 2 early goals and then we just collapsed! They came back strongly and we only managed the draw thanks to desperate defending.

2nd Leg - Man City - Home

View attachment 459157

We were in the drivers seat for this match with our 2 away goals in the first leg but we failed to capitalize on this and got knocked out of the Champions league Semi Finals. We just couldnt find the back of the net and it was a terrible night for Ozil to have an absolute mare of a game.

So were out of the Champions League which Man City went onto win against Junventus in the final by a narrow 1-0 margin. All in all we had an impressive season in the Champions League mainly due to the incredible easy draw we had all the way to the Semi Finals.

Top! Yes thats right with all the Champions League matches going on i didnt really look at the table as we sit 1 point ahead of fierce local rivals Tottenham. Our last two games favour us immensely as we face Norwich and Cardiff.

I think the player stats show how much of a suprise winning the league was for us as nobody stood out, so many of our wins were lucky and scrape through 1-0 winners.

I tried to sign him but he agreed a mega deal with Bayern Munich, i didnt go for Valdes as hes quite old and wants ridiculous money, thanks for reading.

Quite frankly, Mesut Ozil won you the PL with that goal against Norwich in injury time. Else you would've lost it as Spurs have more GD. Congratulations, and it sucks that Wenger joined Pool, no? And it's a pain to see Chelsea at 6th again after 2011-12 as a Chelsea fan, although it's in a video game only. :P

Btw this is your second story that I've followed (you may remember me from that Limerick FC story) and I've noticed you get a lot of long time injuries. I usually get one long time injury per season(That too rarely exceed 3 months), rest are like for 3 weeks, or 4 weeks or a few days for damaged albow/facial injury/gashed leg etc.

You don't know long-term injuries when what turns out to be one of your best defenders is injured for 3 months, comes back and scores, is out for 3 months, scores again, injured again. That was pretty much the story with Jamie Duff in my Elgin story.

Great work with the Gunners though. Shame there was no treble, I'd put a bet on Liverpool being relegated in the next 5 seasons with Wenger in charge now.

Im suprised Mourinho didnt get sacked! I thought Wenger would have retired at his age not taken over at pool i wonder if Brendan Rodgers will become England manager like he always did last FM, after i got Ozil playing the right way he was amazing chipping in with a fair few goals too, Im always quite pessimistic but especially at the start with all the draws and 1-0 wins i definitely didnt think we would win the league!

I know man i do have a bit of bad luck especially Giroud for 9 months before i had even played a game! Wilshere is always injured though and i can be quite bad at rotating certain players! I was told to rest Ozil and Koscielny a few times in the new year and i was like maybe after this next game. I remember you from the Limerick save i never had as many injuries once i had 22 decent players on that save and could rotate more, Im looking at having another crack at Limerick this year to, especially after 12 seasons with them last year.

I know i was gutted with the Champions League we must have had one of the easiset runs i have ever seen from the qualifiers to groups to facing Galatasary and CSKA Moscow in the knockouts i didnt have any real challenge and should have really beaten City.
Thanks for reading should have the new season transfers up in a bit.

Summer Transfer Window 2014

Season Expectations

View attachment 458961

So i went big and said i would retain the Premier League this season and was given ?31million, i didnt plan on going too crazy until my head got turned by a few players offered to me.

Players Out -

So i sold almost ?63million pounds worth of players with both my main GK's leaving for a combined ?30million and Theo Walcott moved to Real Madrid for ?17million. Also Podolski, Giroud and Mertesacker left for a combined ?16 odd million.

Players In -

So i will do this in the order of when i bought them rather than their importance to the squad.

Andre Schurrle - AML - ?8.25million

View attachment 458960

I snapped up the young German when he was offered to me at such a low price, Chelsea had paid almost ?20million for him he was valued at almost ?12million yet i could buy him for around ?8million!

Giovanni Simeone - ST - ?3million

View attachment 458959

A quite decent looking youngster my head of youth snapped up who was immediately loaned out to get some experience.

Marc Andre Ter Stegen - GK - ?10.75million

View attachment 458954

He was transfer listed after refusing to sign a new deal and again i managed to get him for a lot less than his actual value, this was why i sold Zieler and Szczeny and will just keep Fabianski as backup.

With those two GK's giving me a bit of spare cash i decide to get the one player Arsenal really wanted

Luis Suarez - ST - ?46.5million

View attachment 458953

Oh yes a front four of Suarez, Huntelaar, Ozil and Cazorla looks appetizing and thats with Schurlle and AOC as backup.

Didier Drogba - St - Free

View attachment 458952

I bet he never expected he would be wearing an Arsenal shirt, He should be a good backup striker with Podolski, Walcott and Giroud all sold and the two young strikers out on loan.

Asier Illarmendi - CM - ?9.5million

View attachment 458951

Another amazing transfer listed youngster on the cheap as i spent my last few pennies on him before deadline day, I did look at Sami Khedira who had also been transfer listed for ?17 million but couldn't scrape the money together so opted for him.

Transfer History

View attachment 458949

So what do you all think of my transfer dealings? I went a little bit crazy in the end.

Great signings,i think you will have great success this season if they are played well. With those players you should start thinking about UCL.
