Cover Songs That Are Better Than Originals ?

Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah is superior.
Hendrix's all along the watchtower, just...by like, millimeters :D

Gary Jules' Mad World.

On a recent note - Ellie Goulding "Your Song"

Cover from Elton Johns original

I like Nirvanas cover of Man Who Sold The World, which was originally by David Bowie I think?

The cover they do at the MTV Unplugged event is amazing.

Lily Allen - Naive by the Kooks. I just prefer her voice with the song.

All Along The Watchtower by Hendrix is surely the best?

Feelin' Good - Muse, too, as much as I dislike them.

Nirvana's cover of 'Lake of Fire' by Meat Puppets.

I like Nirvanas cover of Man Who Sold The World, which was originally by David Bowie I think?

The cover they do at the MTV Unplugged event is amazing.

Agreed with both of these. Nirvana's Unplugged MTV album is brilliant.

Also agree that Rufus Wainright's 'Hallelujah' is better than Cohen's original. I like The Killers version of 'Romeo and Juliet', but it's not quite up there with the Dire Straits. To be honest I can't think of many others that can claim to be as good as the original.

Professor Greens cover of Beats international Dub be good to me
Professor Greens cover of INXS i need you tonight

Knockin' on heavens door - Guns N Roses

Original by Bob Dylan.

Him do a cover of Wicked Game by Chris Isaak.
