Mohammed Al-Fayed brings in ex-England International Tirath Singh at Fulham
After the surprise departure of Roy Hodgson, the Egyptian owner of the London club installed Singh with great confidence. It's a surprise choice seeing as it is his first experience of managing a top flight club. In his first interview, Mr Singh stated he was to bring in his own staff and players to transform the club and build a solid starting point for future seasons to come.

Fulham bag a couple of starlets
Fulham have today completed the double signing of young Argentinian centre back Nicolas Otamendi and Ukrainian forward Artem Milevskyi for a combined £13M. After he admitted midweek that he needed a proven goalscorer, Daniel Feliciano moved quickly to sign the 6ft 3 24 year old for a cool £8.75M from Dinamo Kiev. He then moved to sign centre half Otamendi, the highly rated youngster for just £4.7M and was said to be ecstatic with the calibre of players he was able to bring to the club.
Later that day, BBC Sport recieved confirmation that Diamansy Kamara and Elliot Omozusi had left the London based club. Kamara has signed for Italian giants Fiorentina for £3.5M while Omozusi signed for Reading for just £1.8M after both players were deemed surplus to requirements by Daniel Feliciano.

Chris Baird & David Elm have reportedly gone the other way for fees of £2.5M & 1.5M respectively.

Fantastic pre-season for us as we didn't concede and scored a phenomenal 33 goals in just 5 games. We looked fresh, and I can't wait until the beginning of the season if this is how we are going to play!

Tirath Singh has made vast changes to the squad with numerous players leaving and some relatively unknown players joining. Bobby Zamora left for 7.25million and was soon replaced by young Argentinian Matiás Defederico for approximately 9.5million. Ex-arsenal favorite Gilberto Silva also joined for just under £3million while Zoltan Gera left to Lazio for £5million. Experienced Argentinians Martin Palermo & Federico Vilar also joined the side to add 'much needed quality'.

Decent month all around. Very happy that we have got into the Europa League group stages with some convincing wins over lesser sides. Also, we showed our strength by beating Portsmouth in the opening game but I'm disappointed with the draw against Hull as we dominated, but we just couldn't take our chances, and the defeat against Wigan, where we led but let it slip late on in the second half. But the signs are good, and hopefully we can build on what has been a decent start to the season.

A fairly tough group, with David Villa and co of Valencia in our group as well as Lille, however I feel that we have the squad to get through this group and come out on the other side.

Fulham completed the last gasp signing of 24 year old striker Andre-Pierre Gignac for £8M to give Fulham a new look strike force. In a shock deal, the big Frenchman has signed a four-year contract, and Fulham beat the likes of Juventus to his signature with the lure of first team football being the winning ticket.
Bobby Zamora also left the cottage joining Shakhtar for £6.5M along with some other player Daniel Feliciano considered to be 'fringe players'.
