do you do any manual marking like the left and right strikers to man mark full backs when opposition has ball
no i did't try that yet , if you tried that feedback please to see how its go

Only played 3 games with this tactic as Newcastle but is very promising indeed. Beat Derby 4-1, Man City 3-1 and Krasnador 2-0. Team is:
GK - Krul
WBR - Janmaat/Dickinson (Young Italian Kid)
WBL - Alex Telles/Haidara
CD - Mammana/Mbemba
CD - Papastathopoulos/Kempf
LMC - Rabiot/Goretzka
MC - Kranevitter/Romero
RMC - Wijnaldum/Sissoko
LCF - Joel Campbell/Wilson
CF - Embolo/Mitrovic
RCF - Perez/Armstrong

very good tactic, high possesion and all team get high ratings, had 9 games in a row without loosing a goal however its not good in Champions League away games, you need diffrent tactic for it, other from that its great.

90% of goals come from the 3 strikers.

After getting sacked by Leeds I got offered a lifeline by Gillingham, decent squad for the league but won all 4 games so far convincingly includiong a win at 2nd placed Bury. Very happy with this so far

Best tactic I have come across so far on FM. 16 games undefeated with Gillingham now coasting to the League 2 title (2nd season). The midfielders have so much time on the ball it's unreal. Superb work.

You know.....I've always had a thing for 433 tactics. Will try this out, btw one question can i change the middle striker to advanced forward or whatever suits him

u can do that mate but that won't work well

2e games unbeaten with Gillingham to win league 2. Not got the biggest budgets for League 1 so we'll see how it fares against better teams.

I'm using the FM touch version on my laptop, am Newcastle, near the end of the 3rd season off the back of 8th and 5

Having problems with this tactic away from home.

At home it is good, won all 4 games - Southampton, Stoke, Everton, Koln
Away, not so good.
Won at Ipswich convincingly and Koln - however the Koln game was a replay, as I rage quit after being 5-0 down at half time.
Lost at Watford 2-0 but I just considered that bad luck and a typical FM game as we were far the better side
Lost at Tottenham 3-2 after twice being in either drawing or winning positions.
The last two away games have been ridiculous however - losing 5-0 at Man Utd and 5-1 at Chelsea.
Seems like away from home against a decent team we constantly get r*ped down each wing.

I will probably keep it for home games and see how I do against a 'big' team but unless I am missing something will need to ditch it for away.

Do you generally change anything at all for away games (particularly against better opponents)?

i changed the strikers setup.
I have a DF, Poacher and DLF
So far so good, DLF scores a lot.
Will post the tactic if successfull.

mmm just to try... updates will come soon :P

Any chance you can expand on this a bit, I've been using this tactic since the it was first posted and it's definetly the best imo, but I've always thought it would be possible to get the front 3 more prolific

Just Amazing

Just want to say it´s an amazing tactic!

At first I love 3 Striker formations, and at second i like the playstyle (possession, ccc --> in toher words DOMINATION (H)).

Since now i was a bit to scarde for a tactic with such "non-defending" player roles. I thought such tactics were not that much solid. But you show me just to try and not to think to much theorethic.

Best wishes from germany! ;)

EDIT: Seems also good for lower teams/leagues because my U19 team is going crazy!! 8-|
