World Cup Update:

The only news of note was that, despite winning the U20's World Cup, the Italian side could only manage runners-up to Argentina.

Brad Wilkinson picked up the Best U21 Player award, even though he only played one game.

Lots of moves this window, with Barry Chuckle moving to join Andy Smith at Sunderland for £3.1m, Muhammad Agin moving on a permanent deal to FC Kaiserslautern for £650K, Joseba Muniain turning down Manchester City to end his Inter **** with a move to Stuttgart for £4.3m and former City and Udinese man Jack Clifford moving to Barcelona in a staggering £29m deal.
