Dave's Struck Gold
Dave Bird has struck gold after finding not only oil, but ancient Roman artefacts underneath his property in Bognor.

He immediately sold the land for a hefty profit of of £8 Billion and wants to invest it in his main love. No not his wife, but football. As an avid lover of football he wants to become chairman of a club. It is your job fm base users to pick the club he invests his money in!

FK Mjolner in Norway lol

In all seriousness what about someone like Luton Town or Pompey? Teams who have struggled financially, or even the mighty Hearts of Midlothian!!

Edit: Voted for Braga, see if you can overtake the big two!!

please please from all the Newcastle united fans please buy our great club and wake up the sleeping giants

Bird getting cosy with Ashley
Dave Bird was spotted recently having lunch with Newcastle chairman Mike Ashley. Rumours suggest he could be planning an audacious bid to become the new chairman. Bird has recently been linked with roles at: Braga, Real Betis, Montpellier, AZ Alkmaar and Genk but nothing is set in stone. Could the Toon have a new chairman and would he continue with the French contingency at Newcastle?

Wherever Bird goes he is ambitious and will not stop until his team is winning the Champions League and is willing to inject as much money as possible to get there.

I voted for Genk but my choice would have been Huddersfield town if they was a option.

Bird rejects rumours
Recently, Bird has been linked with taking over from Mike Ashley as Newcastle chairman. However, Bird quoted, "These rumours with Newcastle are ridiculous. I was just having lunch with him and discussing football, that was all. Newcastle are too big a club to invest in and are not a viable option."

Now with Newcastle out of the question the bookies favourite is Montpellier after Dave Bird's wife recently tweeted a picture of her standing outside the Musée Fabre.

I voted for Betis as it reminds me of cm4 when they had Joaquin and Capo, 2 wonderkids....I wonder what happened to Capo?

Bird Buys Club
After hours of speculation, Dave Bird has finally bought a club. He purchased Real Betis for £76million from previous chairman, Miguel Gullien. Bird is aiming for a top 8 finish in the first season but hopes to be challenging the big two, Barcelona and Real Madrid in the future.

Bird has promised to invest funds into the club to make them into a European powerhouse. But knows it will be a long process for the club. With the new chairman coming in, manager Pepe Mel has left meaning Bird is on the look out for a world class manager.

With Real Betis manager less Bird wants a world class manager or someone with great potential, he has made a shortlist:

Jose Mourinho – currently the manager of Real Madrid. This would be a very ambitious bid by Bird and he feels their personalities would class. However, Mourinho could bring success and increase Betis’s reputation.

Pep Guardiola – currently unemployed. Guardiola is looking for the right project and this new look side could be the answer. With finance and Bird wanting “attractive football” Guardiola could become the new manager. But would he manage another Spanish side?

Rafael Benitez – currently interim manager of Chelsea. Benitez is planning for life away from Chelsea and could be Betis’s answer. He has great history with Valencia and success in Europe so could be a great choice.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – currently manager of Molde. Solskjaer is one of Bird’s favourite strikers after watching him in the 1999 Champions League Final. He is a young ambitious manager who Bird may feel deserves a shot in a better league.

Jurgen Klopp – currently manager of Dortmund. He is one of the up and coming managers and meets all the criteria for Bird. He is young, plays attacking football and encourages youth something Bird wants to employ.

So who will Bird sign?

Mourinho tweeted, "The opportunity at Betis is something any manager would find difficult to turn down."

Could Mourinho leave the almighty Real Madrid for the ambitious Real Betis?

Klopp out of the running
Jurgen Klopp has dismissed speculation linking him with the Betis job, stating he is happy at Dortmund and believe Betis are not good enough for him. As it stands Pep Guardiola and Rafael Benitez are favourites for the job.

Mourinho out of running
Real Madrid have come out with a statement, "Jose Mourinho is the Real Madrid manager and must honour his contract. It would take a very high offer for us to even consider letting him go."

With Mourinho out of the running, Pep Guardiola and Rafa Benitez are favourites after having private meetings with chairman, Dave Bird.

The Interim One
Real Betis have announced their new manager, Rafa Benitez. Benitez said he was grateful for this opportunity and looking forward to the challenge.

Although Pep Guardiola was the favourite to take the role, he could not manage a rival of Barcelona but wished Betis the best of luck in the future.
