If you compare the 2, these are very different, only the formation remained 4-4-2. I think that V2 is better.
for Dortmund as well?

and now we have two F9s, who are now closing down.

I may just be dumb, but I'm not quite getting WHO they are to close down? I've been trying to close down all 4 defenders on the opposite team, but can't say I notice any effect.
Anyway, your tactic is great. I've been manager at Reading for 4 1/2 seasons now. Been using tweaks of GobBluthJD 4-2-3-1 for my 4 first seasons. First year I won Championship with a pretty good margin, Reading was just relegated and have a pretty good economy. First season in the PL I managed a EURO spot, the season after a 4th place and CL, but last season it really fell apart and even though I won the Carling Cup, I ended up at 12th after being close to relegation for a lot of the season. This tactic is hugely dependent on a a lonely striker scoring 75% of your goals.
This season I decided to try your v1 version. It was big problem (and still is to a certain point) with my central midfielders changing around as I just bought a couple of 30 mill+ players for those positions with my old tactic. None of them really fitted into your system. The results were still pretty nice though, so I hung on to it.
Then out of nowhere your v2 tactics shows up and Ross Barkley is ready to shine again! Will Hughes also looks like a new player. I've only lost one game so far, and that was with a complete b-team against Stuttgart in the EURO-cup where I already had won the group.
I'm hoping this one finally can put me on top of the PL. 3rd place atm!
Been trying V2 out on a pentagon challenge on FMTouch

Struggling at the start of next season, getting injuries and suspensions galore
Do the wide midfielders need to be opposite footed?

They are supposed to interrupt buildups. You can untick their closing down to see how it goes.
I thought that since you mention OIs, and mentioned none you were missing something. I read to much into to it maybe, and tried to use close downs on certain players at the OI screen. Now I see that it was a player instruction, but I still wonder if you forgot to mention something about OI?
I think I don't get your point, sorry
Sorry, horrible english. Didnt read it over. You mention OIs in your description to your tactics. What exactly are the OIs?
Opposition instructions. The instructions I was talking about are the player instructions for the F9s.
Aha. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I always thought that meant doing something at the OI screen before every game. Anyways, havent lost for 25 games now!
Just to make sure: you promoted in the first year, finished 4th in the Premier Soccer League and at the start of the 3rd year you have more injuries and cards?
Thanks, this tactic got my out of a bad run of form with cash strapped Deportivo, I have gone from 13th to 7th place after 3 wins and 2 draws in 5 games I tried this formation.
Vagner Love actually scores for me now.
One of my victories was an epic 3-1 win at home to Real Madrid as well.
