Has anyone had the same as this? 5 draws in a row and I was leading in them all. Strange game sometimes, before I was winning comfortably most games but now I can't score so much. I'm using Striker V19. I often have strange form if my team is at the top at the end of a season, is there a reason why?

Hi mate,

At your screenshot I see that you play in Sky Bet League 1 with Shrewsbury, the first season

If you look at the Media Prediction before the season then you see that Shrewsbury is the weakest team in the league, it’s media prediction 24th (odds 1000-1)

So it means that your team is the weakest team in the league

Also, at your screenshot I see that you’ve almost finished the season and you are sitting the 1st place in the league

Speaking other words, you are very close to winning the league with the weakest team in the league

So if I understand you correctly then it looks strange to you that you draw and lose some matches but let me ask you if it was possible winning 100% matches with the weakest team in the league then what was the point in buying better players and improving your team if you could win 100% matches with any quality players? What was the point having Transfer System and Developing System in the game?

Just look you are already greatly overachieving by winning the league with the weakest team in the league but it isn't enough for you and you also want to win 100% matches with the weakest team in the league but don't you think that if players' quality don't matter anything in this game then the game would be extremely unrealistic and boring ? Just think about it... :)

At the current moment Demolisher and Stinger tactics have reached such level that allows you to compete for the title with the weakest team in the league and I'd say it already looks very unrealistically but also asking for winning 100% matches with the weakest team in the league I’d say it’s too much because in that case the game would turned into complete boredom without need to improve your team.

id never of said bolton was the best team in that league. i was a season ticket holder from 95-2010. looking at the team that went down, it was pretty shocking. they shouldnt of been expected to go back up

Hey guys, thanks for the response to the previous post i put on, as you can tell im a newb at fm ;)

I was wondering whether the player occupying the BWM role should be your sterotypical one as the filters created with this thread dont indicate that, to the contrary it seems it should be a dribbler with good attack attributes just like the BBM, would that be correct?

I made a lil test with strikerless v17 managing man city, played about 16 games in epl and all group games in champions league... first impresion that v17 is very leaky in defence to compare with v16.ive got 5 or 6 games in a row where i concede first and had to chase the result, most of them was just a draw... but its very effective at home! Smashed arsenal 5:0 and more results like that...

I wasn't complaining mate - I was just wondering if anyone had strange form like that at the end of a season. 5 1-1 draws and the same thing happened in those games which I thought was odd. You are right, the tactic does overachieve greatly so maybe I shouldn't question strange form as I guess this can happen.

Thank you for everything you do on this forum, I don't think I could play this game without your tactics.

No need to worry, mate… I didn’t take your post as an offence; I just saw that it looked like you had wrong expectation from the tactic and from the game in general and I decided to clear things a bit for you.

Unfortunately, I very often see that many people are frustrated by FM just because they don’t understand how the game works and what to expect, lack of experience creates false expectations and false expectations create frustration but when you know how the game works and what to expect then playing FM becomes much more enjoyable. :)
