Irwin Set To Return To Football!

Ex-Manchester United defender Denis Irwin has been speculated to be nearing a return to the game after 8 years since retiring from playing. Irwin, who played over 700 professional games, has been out of the game since he retired in 2004, now currently working for the media and MUTV.
Irwin played for Leeds, Oldham, Man United and Wolves and represented Ireland 56 times at senior level.
There is no idea who he is going to but with the Portsmouth, Oldham, Coventry, Blackburn and Swindon jobs all up for grabs at the moment, surely he is set for a return to English football!

Crisis hit Portsmouth have today confirmed that they have offered Man United legend Denis Irwin to be the new manager at Fratton Park. The club have suffered a number of financial blows in the last few years which have contributed to their downfall from the Premier League to League 1.
Yesterday we reported that Irwin was set to return to football as a manager and the most likely destination would be England but will he be able to steer the sinking ship back to the heights where they once where if he takes over?
