after playing this for about an hour i am bored with it all ready hopefully gets better the further in you get.
 
Is this game worth buying? A few of my mates have said it is really good whilst others have said not so. Reading the IGN review it seems like my kind of game.

Did you ever play the original? This game is is thinking game. You can shoot/stealth/hack yur way through, but everything has a consequence, you pretty much always have more than one way to accomplish everything. and the storyline as usual is incredibly strong. Its much more than the sum of its parts
 
So Mike, would you recommend it? Can't really tell. ;)
 
No I didn't play the original :S. I was reading that you can go through the whole game without killing anyone if you go the stealth route. I think im going to borrow it off a mate before I invest in it ;)

Well i spend half an hour repeatedly telling Dunc to buy it ;) playing it and loving it. hoping i enjoy space marine just as much

Is anyone not playing this the non-lethal way? I've heard it's supposed to be pretty fun blowing people to bits, but I just can't bring myself to go against everything I learnt from the first Deus Ex.

Playing it both ways, though I only go loud when i cant see the alternative. Having said that, all my weapons except the pistol are silenced, though i'd rather knock out guards than kill
 
Got to say I'm loving it. Actually feels like Deus Ex, unlike the second game. Spent probably 10+ hours and only done one "chapter" or whatever you want to call it of the game.

What augs have people upgraded?

I iz a L33t Hax0r! But also some armor, icarus falling, typhoon heavy, inventory size, arm strength, mutiple take down, CASIE, smart vision among other. I spend most of my time hacking, then sneaking into position then taking people out

Im guessing you have got further than me lol

I've got the see though walls ehancement, jumping 9 ft, hacking, inventory size. The landing system looks cool, might get that next! Not bothering with armor because I never get seen to be shot at ;)

im a mix of stealth and shooting, packing plenty of weapon, virtually all of them are silenced. If you are going pure stealth hax0r skill are key, especially robot domination

I've basically been sneaking the whole game so far! Might upgrade to the robot domination, but so far Ive only seen one *large* robot (suspect you know where!)

Whats the Icarus like?

Oh you're there! I quick tranquilized everyone, then tossed an EMP at it. It fried, activated self destruct, and made a very sizable explosion, which may come in handy next time i see one surrounded by troops.

Icarus is good, excellent for when you are moving high up on roofs and you need a quick vertical escape, or to drop in otherwise hard to reach areas
