A dominant performance away from home as we all but sow up the Cup beating Spilt 4-1 with Dzeko grabbing a couple of goals to go with his sterling performance while Santini and centre back Prenga also hit the back of the net.

2nd Leg V RNK Split - Home

No different in the home leg as i rotate the strikers and allow Jelavic and Elmander to grab a goal a piece before Santini grabbed another late goal to seal the 7-1 on aggregate victory.

Santini grabbed goals in both the league games this month to add to his impressive goalscoring tally as he scores in all 4 games this month and we achieve the perfect domestic season.

107 goals scored, 108 points taken, 47 points ahead of 2nd placed Rijeka while we conceded only 20 goals but the most ridiculous of all of these stats is the 36 league games played - 36 league games won.

In the end we only managed to get 3 of the top 5 goalscorers but did win the Golden Boot with the main front 3 scoring 63 league goals between them this season while we also had the top 3 in the assists charts and the top 5 players with the highest average ratings.

What did i say last season? That Santini had showed glimpses of brilliance in amongst his injury hit first season and he settled in so well this season and with our 4 decent strikers it was a big ask to be the best one of the lot.

Well when i signed him i think as the rest of you i was thinking he would score a goal every game but it wasnt to be but i guess i cant be unhappy with 19 goals in his first season in Croatia.

Halilovic at the grand age of 19 has really matured into the player i was expecting him to be not only making the most goals in the league this season but also reaching 20 goals.

Yes this is the big first part of my goals complete, as from next season onwards the League Champions (Us) will go straight into the Champions League group stages saving us having to play 6 pointless games to start with each season against rubbish teams, I will miss them a bit as it always helped players goalscoring records.

I think after such a good season im really shocked Santini missed out on a place in the Croatia squad but im not so surprised Jelavic did too.

So it was France who won the trophy but there were a few surprise packages in their with Croatia getting knocked out by Ireland who then in turn got beat by Switzerland who made it all the way to the finals and were unlucky to lose out to France on penalties.​

Summer Transfer Window 2016

I had made 4 of my 6 transfers before the budgets were released but i pumped all of the money into the wage budget anyway not needing any transfer budget.

Players Out

So as per usual 15 odd players got released while i also loaned out another 12 players with most going to feeder club Lokomotiva. I let Elmander go as he was keen on moving to Besiktas and he had done us a good service for a couple of seasons and at the grand age of 34 was only going to go down hill from here. I also let wingers Pivaric and Skolnik go as i brought in much better options in these positions.

Players In

So i brought in 4 players and then decided to bring in another 2 much later in the window. Basically in the winter i signed pre contract agreements for centre back Sebastian Coates, midfielder Emre Colak, winger Adam Johnson and young striker prospect Jean Marie Dongou.
Ive got to say that all of these players are a cut above our current set of players and 3 of them are under 24 years old.
Well not long into the season and i had sold Elmander and Dongou picked up a nasty Injury.

So after this devastating news i brought in two extra players both from the Premier league and former Chelsea players, first off Demba Ba who will take over from Dongou and then we picked up young former prospect Thorgan Hazard. Im really happy with all of these deals, there all on quite high wages for the league but didnt cost me a penny and at young ages will have good resale values.

A perfect start to the new season with 5 wins from 5 and Dzeko and Santini looking in good form, Coates and Colak also started their Dinamo careers off well bagging goals on their debuts.

Oh ****** thats the repeat from the perfect season last year out the window as fierce title rivals Rijeka manage to hold us to a draw, It was nice to see Dzeko is getting into the league as he scores in the first 5 games of the month while next month will see the debuts of Hazard and Ba with Santini still struggling for fitness.

Dzeko knocks in a brace while Croatian pair Santini and Halilovic get goals too all before half time as we win our first Champions League group game and put 3 more points on the board to add to the point we got from Celtic in the opening game.

Its a bit worrying that only really Dzeko is lighting up the league at the moment with none of our players near the top 5 for the assists charts only 2 in the average ratings list and only Dzeko in the race for the Golden Boot but were still winning.

Despite our injury crisis at the moment we still manage to win all 6 games this month with Santini luckily coming back into some decent form just as Dzeko gets injured, Dongou has only around 2 more weeks and he will be back too along with Demba Ba regaining full fitness.

We have 3 Champions League games this month but lose the first one to Schalke which seriously dented our chances of topping the group before we faced Celtic.

5 wins in between the two losses in the Champions League as Demba Ba seems to enjoy Europe more than the league and Dongou comes back from his long injury lay off to score a brace against title rivals Rijeka.

Im so unlucky with injuries, it went so well for the first 3 seasons injuries wise but this year everyone is getting injured.

Winter Transfer Window

So i didnt bring anyone in during the winter window as we have 4 players set up for bosman transfers in the summer while if all the players get fit it will be a luxury having a full squad to choose from for the first time in months.
The only big transfer out was Jelavic who was complaining and on high wages for this league and already way down the pecking order for strikers with Dzeko, Dongou, Ba and Santini all set to be fit for February.

Former Man City player Kolarov gets the winner for us in arguably our biggest ever win in the Champions League to date but im not getting my hopes up as we were more than lucky to not concede a few times.

2nd leg V Man Utd - Away

This game was actually the first day of the next month but i thought i would roundup our participation in Europe together, We got dominated and the scoreline flattered us to be honest. We did well to take them to extra time but it was the Hero from the previous game who became the Villian as Kolarov gets sent off with 5 minutes of extra time to go before Will Hughes grabs the winner for Man Utd 3 minutes later.

Well thats 3 seasons in a row we have been knocked out of Europe by a club from Manchester, We doing better and competing with the big clubs not getting thrashed, We need to turn qualify for the knockout stages into winning our groups to give us a better chance or have a lucky draw like we did 2 seasons ago.

Well despite the distractions of Europe we continued our unbeaten run in the league winning all 5 games this month while Santini has been in amazing form scoring 7 goals in this month alone.

Needed to be done, We havent had a decent youth intake in 2 seasons now but i know this is mainly because of the players at the club are a lot better than at the start so Youth players coming through wont look as impressive or make the jump into the first team as quickly.

I know theres a big gulf in leagues between ours and the Spanish but Beciraj was expected to do big things after his move to Spain after scoring 38 goals for us in one season he went on to only manage to score 18 goals in all competitions over the following 3 seasons.
