Re: DMF: The Wizard of Wolfsburg!

Lool this is my longest game on FM ever so I'm not amazing

Thanks very much, I'm sure they will one day, good luck with that :)

Setting him as a Poacher in a regular game, but in the big games I play him as a Deep Lying Forward with a Target Man along side him.

Thank Eric, not quite on your level yet but I'll get their soon hopefully xD
Do you think that setting him as a Target Man with attack duties, would be a mistake ? I take the best out of Vucinic by playing him as a Deep Lying Foward with a Target Man along side him.

No that wouldn't be a mistake I do that when I don't play Cardozo, but you'd get the best out of Dzeko as a Deep Lying Forward.

Pre-Season Transfers...(So Far)

View attachment 35161

Well done FMGuy, you were right, my superstart free signing was Yoann Gourcuff from Bordeaux! :D I also managed to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi on a free transfer aswell to bolster my attack after Obafemi Martins joined Schalke on a free transfer. I signed Rafael on a permanent deal after he spent the last 2 seasons on loan with me, and the 2 youngsters I signed a few seasons back finally joined me.
However, leaving me was Martins, Petit, Wolze, Esswein and star Diego Benaglio, who refused to sign a new contract and said he would leave on Bosman. Funnily enough, he is still a free agent XD.

Pre-Season Fixtures...

Excellent pre-season, scoring a fabulous 36 goals and conceding none! Excellent pre-season and looking forward to the first proper game, a first round German Cup tie away at Dresden.

Wolfsburg have also confirmed that Daniel Feliciano has signed a one-year contract extension at the club. His deal was set to run out at the end of the season, but this new deal takes him to the end of the 2014/2015 season with the European and German champions.

Excellent start to the season. We only conceded once all month and that was against Man City, so still yet to concede in the league this season. We look solid all the way through the team and with plenty of options all over the pitch, our squad is more than capable of being able to rotate more regularly.

Great window for us in my opinion. Great signing in Yaya Sanogo with minutes to spare in the window, and we managed to give him his debut against Man City, where he wasn't fully fit but played fairly well. Should be an excellent season for us ;)

Very comfortable group in my opinion. We should qualify from this group with ease, and I will be expecting 6 wins out of 6!

No more updates tonight...
Maybe tomorrow lol...

the reason i thought it was gourcuff was because you were in 2013 and that it usually when gourcuff decides im not signing a new contract lol. can we see a screenshot of your first team line up now?

''6 wins out of 6'' Not with CSKA in that group mate ;) Good stuff apart from that mate.

Good signing in Sanogo. £11.5m too. I paid £30m :O

Haha, I signed him because of your game :P
You got him years after I did xD

Tomorrow dude, I'm not on FM anymore (Y)

Haha, I'll beat them, but only because you're not in charge Al ;)
If that were the case, I'd expect 2 draws :P

Right guys, I finished this month today. Didn't play much due to college, and being shattered because of gym, so I will update the month tomorrow and continue updating Season 5 throughout the day! :D

Decent month. Very, very disappointed at the fact we were eliminated from the German Cup in the 2nd round, especially as we have got to the final for the past 4 seasons on the trot. On a positive not, Yaya Sanogo has been in stunning form since signing from Auxerre in the summer, scoring 4 goals in 5 games this month, and 4 in 6 in his career with the German Champions. Good month, but very disappointed with our elimination from the German Cup.

Excellent month for us, staying unbeaten in the league and we sit top of the league 3 points clear of our closest rivals Werder Bremen. We are running rampant in the Champions League, conceding only 1 and scoring 10, 5 points clear at the top of our group. Excellent month for the team and we'll look to continue this form into the next month, where our first game will be against FC Bayern.

Excellent month for us. Conceded only once all month against FC Bayern, and we were excellent ofeensively scoring 9 goals. We now sit at the top of the league, 5 points clear of Werder Bremen with a game in hand (against St Pauli) so we should go 8 points clear, unless we fail to beat the weakest team in the league. Very happy with this month, and to add to the hype around our team, Edin Dzeko is being tipped to be named World Footballer of the Year after his fantastic season last year.
