Wolfsburg cruise into next round​

Traore was a beast today capping his performace with 2 goals. Grafite also made his comeback and got himself a goal, picking up where he left off all those months ago. Misimovic then continued his scoring for the season getting himself another for the season. Great win and we go cruising into the next round of the cup.

We should have won this. We had plenty of chances to score but we didn't take them and as punishment didn't get the 3 points we deserved. Disappointed with this result but will hopefully bounce back with a win in the next game.

Wolfsburg were left distraught after a controversial 94th minute penalty sunk their chances of a dream draw at the Bernabeu. After a fantastic performance, they certainly deserved a point, but an error by Alexander Madlung, led to Ruud Van Nistelrooy tucking away a penalty 4 minutes into injury time, after only 3 were displayed. Great game, but we more than deserved to get a draw from this game.

Excellent win. Had a goal disallowed originally, but Dzeko came straight back and scored another. Great team performance and we were very strong throughout the team.

Good results and unlucky vs Madrid away.
 
Was so, so gutted with the Madrid game. Twice we've thrown away leads against them :(

Good display of our work rate and team skills. It took a while to break them down, but when we did the floodgates opened and they couldn't stop us. 3 very good goals, and we remain at the summit of the league.

We were unfortunate not to win this game. We played well, but Demba Ba's goal in the second half was enough to see us off. We didn't really make any clear cut chances, but we were very solid defensively. One good move from them which cut us open cost us the points and now we have to win, and hope Real Madrid beat Chelsea for us to qualify.

Not really, but he's not playing too much. Only really been playing when Grafite wasn't playing, and now Grafite is back, Traore seems to have hit form. Its tough to choose who will partner Dzeko. Might give Grafite another run in the team so he can hit form again. We'll see :/

We were unplayable in this game. Martins got 2 first half goals to show he can play with Dzeko aswell. All my strikers seem to be hitting goalscoring form at the same time, which I guess isn't too bad of a problem to have. Great performance and looking forward to the next game.

Fantastic achievement for the club to qualify ahead of top seeds Chelsea. We finished second in the group and now could face Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Arsenal, Lyon or AC Milan. Tough no matter who we get, but I'm confident we can give whoever we get a right go and have a solid chance of qualifying.
