Do you buy weak players on purpose?

Not weak players but sometimes you have to balance the team. You can have 3 or 4 fantastic players that play the same position so sometimes some good or averaged experienced players come in handy. But best of all is to buy youth and ship out the old players once they can no longer hold down a first team place.

I try not to buy huge names or players with big reputations here, but apart from that I get as good as I can

I never buy a player that can`t compete for a spot/can`t compete for a spot within 1-2 seasons.
Buying a straight up reserve team player to have hanging around incase of major injuries is to me a complete waste of transfer/wage funds.

Only exception is 3rd keepers I can get on free transfer.

That being said, I like having loyal players that have been with the club since forever until they retire. No matter if they`re 36 and their stats have deterioated into a big nothing. Example Gerrard, Xavi, etc.
