Just saw this on 606 thought it was quite a good question, my 3 choices would be:
1 - Jack Rodwell
2 - Ryan Shawcross
3 - Gary Cahill

Your thoughts?

micah richards? but i would love rodwell to be captain. star in the making

yer u could possibly be right. i think gary cahill is the next jt so i would like him to be. but although jt will only be 33 then lol still mite be captain.

In 5 years i see it being either Gareth Barry, Micah Richards or Matthew Upson (if he can stay fit)
However like cjackson said, JT could still be captain in 5 years if he hasn't retired from internationals already

i do like rodwell tho i hope chelsea sign him next season hes pure class.

You can never predict these things. We might be a Great Britain rather than unique nations by then. We had a thread years ago called 'Pick your England squad for Euro 2008' and some of the players people were coming out with are in the championship now

Whoa, proves how wrong everyone else was then. However, Kris is right you can never predict what is going to happen.

Dunno :S Rodwell, comes from down the road from liverpool.

surely Wayne Rooney.
But Rodwell is a savage player aswell, always try and get him in my FM games

probably rooney. i think rodwell would definetly be too young to be captain in five year in my opinion.23.

Carlton Cole? haha
erm.....I guess there's plenty of possibilities, Shawcross or Cahill being the most likely, maybe Cattermole?

If micheal Carrick gets a bit more experience then i think that he is definitely in with a shout.
