Ye i know, david bentley was touted for england when he was at arsenal? but it think he would of got into the first team if it wasnt for aaron lennon being on forn and walcott.

He's got bags of ability, as he showed at blackburn but i have no idea what happened to him at Tottenham

To be honest i see it being Wayne Rooney but I think Cattermole and Huddlestone are possible future captains too

I think it will still be John Terry and if its not i think it will be one of these

Steven Gerrard - I think he would be great as captain for england he is super for Liverpool and he dose not always give a great preformance in a england shirt but maybe giving him the arm band will step him game up for England

Frank Lampard - Pretty much the same as gerrard

Glen Johnson - Once he has some more experience i think he would be a great captain

Robert Green - In my eyes England's best goal keeper and i think he would do great as captain and get the team going

Yh anything can happen in five years, my best shout is either lee cattermole/jack rodwell but cattermole slightly ahead as hes better suited to a captain than rodwell.

rooney also but his anger problems might let him down to be a future captain. who knows.

But just remember how bad beckham was at controlling his temper on and off the pitch. Now, he is one of the England's greatest ever captains.

Who knows ....... so many factors most important one is who will be manager alot will depend on that if cappello is still in charge then JT will still be captain

You can never predict these things. We might be a Great Britain rather than unique nations by then. We had a thread years ago called 'Pick your England squad for Euro 2008' and some of the players people were coming out with are in the championship now
