Opening day - Southampton away

After all the hard work pre-season, it's time to get down to business down on the south coast. A tricky opening fixture against a saints team with plenty to prove.

View attachment 282268

Saints controlled the game for the opening minutes, thought we were going to be under the cosh for the whole game. But after a swashbuckling run down the left flank, Danny Rose found Eriksen who then cut it back to find Mr Kane...

View attachment 282267

After that, well, we dominated, a goal from Andros Townsend and a brace from Christian Eriksen ensured an opening day whitewash to send the travelling Spurs into raptures.

Couldn't have asked for a better start to season!

(P.S As a Pompey fan this was pretty satisfying
:P)

Just caught up, great start mate! I've got a 6 month old myself, I am impressed with the effort you have put in so far, I am lucky if I get 5 minutes to myself haha!

A very nice start mate, good layout too! The idea is brilliant too, keep it up mate!

Brilliant start to the season mate!

Player Of The Month - August

So many good performances this month, too many to name but one man stood out for me...

View attachment 282167

Christian Eriksen

3 goals, 6 assists.

Has dictated play from the middle of the park and taken teams apart on his own. Need him to continue this form if we want to keep this up and qualify for the Champions League.

As mentioned previously in the thread, transfer windows in this career are going to be rather boring for us due to the new rules, but like I said there was only player I saw no place for in my squad..

View attachment 281901

A decent player technically, but he doesn't work hard enough to be part of my set up, he's 30 and on a 100k a week with stupid bonuses. No one wanted to pay for him so I cut my losses and released him.

View attachment 281895

I'm sure he'll get one more decent payday abroad before he retires.

While I hate Spurs, this is an interesting experiment that I intend to follow. Best of luck!

September

After a brilliant opening month to the season, surely it couldn't be topped, could it?

Simple answer...

View attachment 281885

Delighted is an understatement. Unbeaten in all competitions. 19 goals scored and only 1 conceded. Highlights for me included beating United convincingly at The Lane but more importantly this..

View attachment 281877 View attachment 281876

So, what does the table look like?

View attachment 281882

Proud to say we're sitting top, unbeaten.

So many brilliant performances this month, was so hard for me to pick a stand out player so I let the game do it for me..

View attachment 281880 View attachment 281879

Erik Lamela has immense, scoring 5 goals in 3 games including a brilliant hat-trick vs Aston Villa. Was also good to see Christian Eriksen round off the top 3.

And to put the icing on the cake..

COYS.

Yoof, yoof, yoof...

Was extremely proud to say I gave 2 English, academy products their debut in the Capital One Cup 3rd round clash away at Fulham.

View attachment 281857

Josh Onomah and Kyle Walker-Peters both started the game and more than held their own as you can see below..

View attachment 281854

Walker-Peters faired slightly better than Onomah but both lads played really well. Cameron Carter-Vickers also made the bench but didn't get on this time.

All 3 lads will be big players for me in a couple of years time and this is exactly what this career is all about.

(P.S Good to see Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen setting a good example to the nippers :@)

England Squads Update

As the long term goal of my career here is to develop English players and secure the future of the national team, I thought it would be wise to give everyone an update on the Senior, U21 and U19 England Squads when necessary.

First up, the senior squad..

View attachment 281844

As you can see, a comfortable 2-0 over Australia in a Friendly and an even more convincing 6-0 battering of Lithuania in Euro 2016 qualifier. Brilliant to see 2 of my lads, Ryan Mason and Harry Kane, making their international debuts and both getting on the score. Both been performing well at club level so only right they get a chance on the international stage.

Now for the U21's..

View attachment 281839

2 good wins over not particularly tough opposition, but you can only beat what's in front of you. Next up for the 21's is play-offs to reach the U21 Euro's and they have a tough draw against a talented Belgian side. Confident they'll qualify though. They have a really strong squad including our very own Eric Dier.

And finally the U19's..

View attachment 281833

2 solid performances here from the Young Lions, again not particularly tough opposition but good to players like Zach Clough and Pat Roberts notching. Looking forward to seeing them develop over the next few years. The U19's qualifying campaign for the Euro's starts next month so will keep everyone updates.

October

Unbelievably we're still unbeaten in all competitions!

View attachment 281789

14 goals scored, 4 conceded. Fantastic stuff.

Starting to think this is all too good to be true and have a feeling that when we finally do lose we'll capitulate completely! But at the moment we're enjoying the ride and taking each game as it comes!

Highlight of the month has to be us battering our fierce London rivals Chelsea.

View attachment 281786 View attachment 281782

We went 3 up front and turned The Lane into a pressure cooker, we pressed high and forced Chelsea into errors all over the pitch. Erik Lamela was class again and destroyed Ivanovic...

View attachment 281785 View attachment 281784 View attachment 281783

So what does the table look like?

View attachment 281780

Still sitting nicely on top, unbeaten and only 2 goals conceded. Really hope we can keep this up for as long as possible.

Also nice to be through to the next round of Capital One Cup after we beat United 3-0 for the second time this season, this time with a weakened side.

View attachment 281781

We really took our chances here and as you can see, young Kyle Walker-Peters put in another solid performance as is really knocking on the door of the first team now.

The only negative at the moment is our form in Europe. A win and 2 draws.

View attachment 281777

May sound arrogant but I feel we should be topping this group, I have played weakened teams in a couple of games but we should still be winning. Still think we will qualify for the knock out stages even if it is a slight inconvenience!

Onwards and upwards!

COYS!

Player Of The Month - October

Again, so many good performances through the squad. Kyle Walker, Harry Kane, Bobby Soldado and Christian Eriksen all impressed me a lot.

But it has to go to leagues top scorer (with 14) Erik Lamela..

View attachment 281767

6 goals, 2 assists, average rating 8.76 this month. What a player.

View attachment 819220

Youth update.

First blood in the North London Derby goes to...

View attachment 281763

Ok, it may be the youth team but I still celebrated like mad when we got a last minute winner. I watched this game in full and was seriously impressed with Cameron Carter-Vickers.

View attachment 281762 View attachment 281761

tThe young centre back was solid throughout and even set up the 90+3 winner. Carter-Vickers has massive potential for us and England. Players like him are the reason I'm doing this save. The future is bright.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated chaps! This is my first attempt at this so anything positive or negative, anything that you'd like to see more or less of? Even if you want to see any screenies of certain players.

Cheers!

Loving it mate, like the in game screenies combined with the real life shots. Only thing I don't like is you beating Australia! Unacceptable! ;)
