Don't think that was Ramois doing the pulling, think that was Busquets. I'd have to say that was a good shout for a pen, and should have been if the ref saw it. The other supposed "pen" from a foul by Ramos sliding in.. don't think that was a pen, strong challenge.. it's what usually gets Ramos sent off... but he did make contact with the ball.

Croatia had a couple of good chances though, Rakitic had to take that one from Modric's cross.. you really won't get many better chances against Spain due to the amount of time you spend chasing.

He first had a contact with the player and then with the ball if I recall correctly... I think that counts as a foul and penalty/16 meter line free kick and yellow/maybe red card...

Igor Stimac is the new Croatia national manager. He replaces Slaven Bilic

terrible choice in my opinion
in the few games he managed CIbalia and Zagreb his goal difference was 2-10 or 2-12

There was a period when people thought he was just getting past it, and starting to decline, but he has gone back to his best.

De Rossi has been outstanding. If we beat Ukraine, I would love an England Italy QF.

Same here I would really like to face Italy, although I am a patriotic England fan, I do have a sweet spot for Italy, just their style and players etc.

In our little facebook group of AS Roma we are arguing who has been with more influence for Italy in the 3 matches - De Rossi or Pirlo? Of course the majority of the group thinks the Roma player has been the main Italian man, but there are opinions that even Buffon plays a bigger role for the team than the 2 with his brilliant goalkeeping. What do you guys think? Imo the man with the frustrating tattoo is the key player for Italy's success until now.

Have to say that all 3 are vital to Italy's set-up. Might add in Chielini as well.

There is tons of pulling and fouling in the box, but the Refs never give it, outside the box it is an obvious foul, but inside it is almost like the rules change

Not allowing it is one thing. It gets worse. Too many times i've seen ref allow this sort of plays entire game, players adapt and soon everybody is pulling, then suddenly its a penalty. If it wasn't a penalty 50 times, it isnt 51th.

That ain't a pen, Busquets just wanted to trade his shirt with Corluka ;)

Seriously, extreme robbery for Spain, two pens and that goal was offside, Navas took advantage of an offside position to interfere with the play.

England: Hart; Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole; Milner, Gerrard, Parker, Young; Rooney; Welbeck

Ukraine:
: Pyatov; Gusev, Khacheridi, Selin, Rakitskiy; Yarmolenko, Tymoschuk, Konoplianka, Garmash; Devic, Milevskiy.

Would have liked to see Chamberlain instead of Young but its a decent team. Shevchenko on the bench for Ukraine.
Come on England!

Hope young plays better than last couple of games!

To be fair the ITV crew apart from Keane are pretty dire though their commentators are better than Mark Bright, lawwro etc.

I just turn the sound down and listen to Talksport. Fair superior coverage and people who know what they're talking about lol

Who was it that said "What would make him want to make a mistake like that" or words to that affect about Cech?
