But does it matter when he gets back and deals with it? He got beat by pace by Ibrahimovic but what happened? He chased, got goal side and won the ball off him. Defenders will make mistakes but its the great ones that automatically know what to do next to make up for that error.

True, but that was not his intention he tried to read the ball to feet that never happened instead opposition player played ball over top and terry was caught out, linesman should have seen offside like you said and 5th official should have seen ball had crossed the line. The thing that makes me laugh about this is blatter/platini sayin oh we need goal line technology but when it happened to us in south africa nothing was mentioned, as soon as it has benifited us there on the band wagon.

Agreed, not a peep when it happened against us. All we need now if for it to happen against France and then I am sure Platini will then jump on the band wagon.

Against quicker players he will just sit deeper not giving them a chance to get in behind him. JT has never had pace lol, he has always been about his timing, and reading of the game. I do though agree at a club level he should play less games next season and let Luiz and Cahill build a partnership.

I agree he isan't amazing, but gets too much criticism, thought he has defended very well, few positioning issues, but not as 'hopeless' as what most people are saying

ye I think he's ok, good going forward just not great at the back but still decent. You don't play for Liverpool and England if you're 'hopeless'

People say Johnson is good going forward and I agree, but he seems to make a lot of careless passes, misplacing simple balls under little pressure. He's had a decent tournament so far but I still wish Richards had been called up.

Exactly, judge him after this season for Liverpool, because at Villa he was a very handy player to have in the England squad, lacking Confidence IMO

The annoying thing is if Roy had taken Micah Richards (who is our best defensive right back by a fair distance) we would not need to play Milner, we could utilise pace on both wings and have Young/Ox/Walcott instead of just having a pacy winger on one side.

Stewart Downing should never even be in the squad let alone gone to the Euro's. The player is massively overrated and quite possibly the worst ever left winger England has even had. So glad he has not featured in the tournament. Back on topic though, I can see the England vs Italy game go to penalties, I have a feeling it is gonna be too close to call.

This Czech left winger is going places, guy is lightning fast. Wolfburg made deal of the year grabbing him for just 1 mil.
