Yeah because sitting from 1000s of miles away we know how much impact it had. Should have got up straight away. He didn't even get a single cut on his face, clear playacting.

Well I know that when you run into someone you may fall over but don't need medics to attend you.

Is there an argument to say Ramos is not as good as people make him out to be?

Oh and the first one was a dive, fouled, but dived.

Fouled but dived? So you mean he should have stayed on his feet even when he was fouled? Or maybe it was hard to regain complete balance when you are pushed, when you running at such speed?

Yes, fouled and then exaggerated it with a dive to try and ensure the free kick.

Two dives so far, first he had pretty much zero contact and legs randomly gave way, and the second one scouse just described. I know you're a United fan, but lets not see these things with blinkers!

I agree he's a decent player LFCMarshal, just the simulation really puts a dampener on things for me.

On another note, Portugal really getting into it after the first 20 mins were basically Spain's. Some brilliant little flicks from Xavi which are always a pleasure to watch; good to see both teams turning up.

Not everyone has same threshold of pain? So still it was not a dive then, he just asked for unnecessary medical attention.

Anyone with half brain does the same? He was fouled, so he did all he could to get a free kick, which was wrongly not given.

Yes, he is also massively indisciplined.

Negredo has been poor, zero movement. Torres/Llorente should come on.

Can we just call a spade a spade?

Racist. It was over exaggeration, bordering on simulation, he's not actively dived yet. He's made a meal but the Ramos block was a clear foul, although if he could have stayed on his feet it would have been to his advantage.

My only problem with Llorente is not him, its the fact he thrives on crosses which is something Spain dis-agree with. Torres would create more space but i think he should actually use Mata, Silva has been ineffective.

Didn't expect this quiet game from Negredo and even Almeida. It looks like both teams are playing 10 vs 10.

Llorente is surprisingly good with his feet too, but they'd be far better off using Fabregas or Torres.

Oh i know he is but he likes the aerial battles and holding the ball up which is what Negredo has done too. Torres is something completely different. Get the Chelsea duo of Torres and Mata on and see what happens.

For any other team, he would have been one of the first names on the teamsheet, can't believe that Mata has not played at all.

Should have dropped Alonso and play Biscuits, Xavi, Iniesta trio in midfield like Barca and Mata and Silva on wings.

Portugal played much better than Spain in the first half. Come on Portugal !

Agree it's suprising that they persist with Alonso and Biscuits as double DMs, obviously they've got this far so it works well enough - but when you have a player like Mata who's been great for Chelsea all season both on the wing and drifting into the middle, why on earth he isn't getting a place ahead of Silva is just remarkable, plus Silva seems short on confidence and just -will not- take a shot on. Bringing on Fabregas can only slow this game down I think he isn't a fast player nor great at holding up the ball and looks like he's going to have Pepe man marking him with the CBs free to track whoever makes the run from midfield. I was kinda hoping Llorente would get a few minutes as the wingbacks do get a few crosses in, but seems VDB is just going for "play the Barcelona guys and hope they combine with something special"
