Title Decider

View attachment 15239Gutted! We shaded the first half but couldn't take some great chances particularly Minacori. They then started the second half strongly and opened the scoring before doubling it 2 minutes later. I then decided to match up and go 4-4-2 with Dembele up front but this didn't work as we fall to a 2-0 defeat and lose top spot!

View attachment 15237We finish second, one point off of winners Ajax Reserves who retain their title. We had a better goal difference and like I've said previously we have surpassed the best tally so far for winning the league which was Ajax Reserves last season who managed to get 77 points.

View attachment 15236Surprisningly our top 2 fans player of the year were full backs Frankaty Dabo and Leroy Abanda. Herve Matthys finished third place as well as getting signing of the season after coming in for £56,840 from Excelsior. Leroy Abanda claimed goal of the season and young player of the season.

View attachment 15235Calogero Minacori won top goalscorer with 21 goals. Frankaty Dabo beat the club record of highest average rating, most assists and most player of the match awards in a season in a ridiculously good season for the right back! Laros Duarte got the highest pass completion rate again just like he did last season. Another club record was for goalkeeper Jesse Bertrams who kept the most clean sheets in a season with 23 in 38 games, a fantastic stat!

I am adamant we should've won the league and this proves it....
View attachment 15227Frankaty Dabo claims player of the season, followed by Benedikt Kirsch, who was no where to be seen in our own clubs player of the year. Leroy Abanda comes third place.

View attachment 15226Calogero Minacori wins top goalscorer in the season and gets the record with 21 goals surpassing the original record of 17. Central midfielder Benedikt Kirsch comes second with 15 goals, 7 of which came in one month! How he didn't get signing of the season after coming in on a free is beyond me!

View attachment 15225Leroy Abanda, on loan from Monaco gets the young player of the year award. Both him and Andy Pelmard look set to go back to their parent clubs with little chance of re-joining the club on loan or permanently.

View attachment 15224Lastly, I won manager of the year after getting us promoted and finishing runners up despite having a media prediction of finishing 7th.

Question is do you stay and play out another season or do you try and jump to a bigger club elsewhere now?

Yeti01 - thanks mate! Anything above the relegation zone is the target!

leckuno -
Im open to moving however no job offer has come up that I would currently take.

Pre-season and Transfers

We didn't do as much transfer business as I would have liked. The main factor was that the players we were in for wanted double as much as we could offer them. We did manage to get Kenny Rocha Santos, Oliver Bias and Calogero Minacori on season long loans. Unfourtunately Leroy Abanda joined Leganes and Andy Pelmard will be given a first team opportunity at Nice.

View attachment 14982We have only released one player this season and that is youngster Jelle Lieshout. He never featured for me and despite having good physical attributes, he wouldn't cut it at our level with his mentals and technical.

View attachment 14981Sam Buekema has joined FC Eindhoven on a free, he was 4th choice here and was on an amateur contract so he wont be a big miss. I only managed to get two signings however hopefully when several free agents lower their wage demand more will follow!

View attachment 14980Ricky Van Wolfswinkel - He comes in with international and champions league experience with Holland and Basel retrospectively. He still has decent physical attributes for a 33 year old but has fantastic anticipation, finishing, movement, technique and composure.

View attachment 14979Enzo Millot - I wanted a right winger who was left footed for the inside forward role and Millot is the perfect man. On a seasons loan from Monaco, he has fantastic pace, dribbling, vision and technique.

View attachment 14978In preseason, we had 3 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats in 7 games. We beat FC Eindhoven, FC Twente and De Treffers with Minacori back amongst the goals. Two goalless draws against a poor FC Volendam side and a strong N.E.C side. Two defeats without scoring against stronger opposition shows that this season may be a long hard one!

August
View attachment 14886Sparta - What a way to start the season! A brace from Calogero Minacori caps off a fantastic team performance, however...

View attachment 14885During the game, Minacori had to come off injured and looks set to miss the next month or 2.

Roda JC - A fantastic team performance however we failed to convert our chances and they managed to steal a win after a goal from a set piece.
FC Groningen - A game where we rarely threatened them and deserved to lose.
Heracles - Back to winning ways! Maria scored a lovely swooping header before they pegged us back. Then up steps Ricky Van Wolfswinkel who scored his first goal for the club from the penalty spot to seal a well deserved win.

View attachment 14884Our first month of the season sees us in 9th, directly halfway up the table. I would bite your hand off to remain in this position all season!

View attachment 14883More injury news and its another striker, this time Papis Dembele is ruled out for 6 weeks with a twisted ankle which leaves us with only Van Wolfswinkel as a fit striker atm.

Transfer Deadline Day
A flurry of activity!
View attachment 14882Pascal Hackethal - A left back comes in on a season long loan from Werder Bremen. At 5 ft 5, he will be suspect from crosses and defending headers however decent tackling and good crossing should give the squad added strength in this position.

View attachment 14881Jordan Monteil - What a capture this is for a fee of £11,000. He offers some fantastic mental attributes for an 18 year old. He has some impressive physicals alongside strong heading and marking. I will look to improve his tackling and at 5ft 9, he is small for a central defender but hopefully his positioning, concentration and decision making will combat this.

A sad departure...
View attachment 14880PEC Zwolle did initially come in with a £375,000 bid which I swiftly rejected, unbeknown to me that he had a release clause of £500,000. They met this clause and despite me desperately trying to offer him a new contract, he agreed to join our league rivals for a relatively cheap fee.

A quickly tried to sign a player to replace Laros Duarte...
View attachment 14879Rayan Raveloson - A free agent following his release from Havre in the 2nd tier of French football. He can play in 3 positions but will be mostly used as a defensive midfielder. He has fantastic passing, technique and first touch alongside good physicals and tackling.

September

View attachment 14408Mounir El Allouchi has been on a non contract since his contract expired in the summer and he has decided to depart the club on a free transfer. He was backup to our midfield 3 and with some impressive youngsters coming through he was slipping further down the pecking order.View attachment 14407
PSV -
We went a goal down away from home against one of Dutch footballs elite however we managed to salvage a deserved point via a goal from debutant Rayan Raveloson.
Vitesse -
We followed our impressive away draw with a deserved disappointing 2-0 defeat against a strong Vitesse side!
DIG -
My most comfortable win as manager yet! We played a full strength side until making 3 changes at the break with 3 youngsters coming into the side, Youness Aarab being one of those. Michael Maria 2, Benedikt Kirsch 2, Rayan Raveloson, Frankaty Dabo, Herve Matthys and a first for Jordan Monteil with the goals.
Excelsior -
We followed up our win in the cup with another win. We dominated the game and deservedly took the lead through the prolific Raveloson! Kenny Rocha Santos doubled our lead before they scored in stoppage time of the first half. It then took a Minacori penalty to seal a much needed 3 points!
FC Twente -
VAR was used to award us a penalty that Minacori converted before he doubled our lead later on in the half. Raveloson had a goal disallowed in the first half but it didn't matter as Minacori sealed his hat trick in the second half.
View attachment 14406I finished the month in a very respectable 6th place. We have played 8 games which is 1 more than most however I am very pleased with our points tally at this point of the season. Rayan Raveloson has had a brilliant first month regularly chipping in from goals from defensive midfield!

View attachment 14405We are ranked bottom of the salary per annum with £1.23million. 17th has nearly triple our salary per annum! This just shows how well we have been doing alongside the fact we have only spent £11,000 in the summer.

October

View attachment 14147sc Heerenveen - A good point at home against a strong side, especially considering we went a goal down. Benedikt Kirsch with the equaliser.
Willem II - A game I cannot believe we lost! We were absolutely dominant but found ourselves on the wrong side of a 5 goal thriller. Midfielders Santos and Raveloson with the goals.
AZ - The best team we have played so far! We got well and truly beaten at home with Papis Dembele scoring a consolation late on for us.
FC Utrecht - They went into this game top of the table however that didn't put us off our stride as we dominated the majority of the game however when Enzo Millet got sent off it was uphill from there as they capitalised and scored two well worked goals. Oliver Bias scored for us but it was too little too late.
BVV - A comfortable 3-0 win in the Dutch Cup 2nd round, Santos, Maria and Kirsch with the goals.
NAC Breda - Back to back wins and clean sheets! Minacori got us on our way with a penalty before Bias made it 2 goals in 3 games with the decider to seal a long awaited win.
Feyenoord - A game where we rarely threatened their goalkeeper however went ahead through a well worked Michael Maria goal! It looked like we were going to rob them of 3 points until deep into injury time they managed a leveller through a scrappy corner.

View attachment 14145After a tricky month of fixtures and results, we finish October in 10th place with 18 points. We are 8 points ahead of N.E.C with a far better goal difference. Staggering to see that we are above Ajax nearly halfway into the season! Our next league game is now in January!

View attachment 14144With Minacori leading the line, Ricky van Wolfswinkel was annoyed with his lack of playing time however I said that I couldn't see him starting games. He quite rightly handed in a transfer request and he is now set to join Swiss side FC Luzern in January for £350,000 with future instalments. Not a bad return for a 33 year old who signed in the summer on a one year contract! It does now leave us with Minacori and Dembele so I will be looking for a replacement who will hopefully want less than his £2,300 a week.

January

We went without a competitive game for 3 months! In that time, I have received some good news...
View attachment 13563I am the new manager of Wales!

View attachment 13561
PEC Zwolle - Our first match back from our long break ends in a disappointing 1-0 defeat which our performance deserved.
Sparta Rotterdam - However we bounce back to winning ways thanks to goals from Michael Maria, Rayan Raveloson and a last goal before his departure for Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
ADO Den Haag - A really dull game however we qualified for the quarter finals of the Dutch Cup as we managed to win the game on penalties.
N.E.C - Back to back clean sheets and its a defender that wins us the game with a fantastic headed finish by Herve Matthys.
Ajax - A really good performance sees us narrowly lose to Ajax, their team is far too good for where they currently find themselves.
Roda JC - How we didn't win this game, I will never know. We had 3 shots cleared off the line, hit the woodwork twice and had several great chances saved as we drop 2 points.
NAC Breda - Another game where we deserved to at least draw. We are out of the Dutch Cup in the quarter final stage which is a tad disappointing as I was hoping for some silverware however may have been an unrealistic target.
FC Groningen - Despite a poor first half we found ourselves 1-0 up thanks to Rayan Raveloson. We started the second half better but then concede an equaliser. We then had a 90th minute penalty that Minacori missed!!View attachment 13560We finish the month in 9th however if PEC Zwolle and Ajax win their games in hand we could drop to 11th. A bit more consistency and I feel we could easily finish in the top half of the table however avoiding relegation was our target at the start of the season!
January also sees Cees James go out on loan to Helmond. He is a young centre half with a little bit of potential. Ricky van Wolfswinkel has joined his new club and we also have a departure at the end of the season...
View attachment 13562Wim van Schijndel has agreed to join Sheffield United when his contract runs out at the end of the season. I would have liked to keep him on however he didn't want to stay here and has agreed improved terms at his new club.

Rejection...
View attachment 13559View attachment 13558I have been turned down by two struggling Serie A sides. Sampdoria are bottom and Torino are one place above the relegation zone but both didn't even put me on their interview shortlist.

February

View attachment 13473PSV - A solid point at home against a strong side, both teams defence cancelled each other out.
Heracles Almelo - A win against a struggling side. We went a goal down after a howler from Berthrams in goal however we soon got back on level terms through a Minacori strike before a Benedikt Kirsch strike sealed the comeback and 2-1 win.
Vitesse - A close encounter that they managed to pip via a set piece goal.
Excelsior - Back to winning ways. Minacori scored a first half brace before they scored with 10 minutes to go to make it slightly nervy however we managed to hold it out for our second win of the month.
sc Heerenveen - Another close encounter with chances for both sides however unlike our opponents we failed to convert our chances.

View attachment 13471View attachment 13472View attachment 13472We finish the month in 11th. We are 13 points clear from the relegation so I feel we are safe from relegation. Ajax have climbed right up the table however with a string of good results I feel we could go as high as 7th.

More rejection...

View attachment 13469
View attachment 13468Both Genoa and Parma in Serie B didn't offer me an interview and it was the same case for Bordeaux.

March

View attachment 13232FC Twente - We start the month with a win and clean sheet. Minacori and Santos grabbing the goals.
Willem ll -
Back to back wins thanks to Santos and a Minacori brace!
AZ -
We were the better side in this game despite the scoreline suggesting otherwise, just failed to be quality enough in either boxes.
FC Utrecht -
We went a goal down early on however dominated the remainder of the game but failed to take the 3 points despite an equaliser from Rayan Raveloson.View attachment 13230We finish the month in 7th however sc Heerenveen can leapfrog us if they win their game in hand against 15th placed NAC Breda. My Wales career got underway... View attachment 13242Israel - I started my international managerial career with a score draw. They took the lead twice before we manged to get back into it twice through Woodburn and Ramsey.
Iceland - I used the same tactic in the last game that I have been using with Go Ahead Eagles however changed it up to a 4-2-3-1 gegen press and it worked wonders as we smashed them for 4. A brace for Ben Woodburn alongside goals from Harry Wilson and substitute Tom Lawrence.
View attachment 13236That leaves us top of our group. We have played one more than Israel and Luxembourg however I fear Sweden will be our biggest threat to qualify as group winners.

We have also had our youth intake...
View attachment 13235Probably my best as a manager yet, as you can see I have offered a contract to all those with at least 3 star potential. The standout player however is Melvin Antheunisse

View attachment 13005
NAC Breda -
We start the month with a win and a clean sheet! 2 goals either side of half time won us the game from Michael Maria and Benedikt Kirsch.
Feyenoord -
We followed our win up with a well deserved defeat as we fall to a 2-0 loss. They were clearly the better side and deserved the 3 points.
Ajax -
We went 2-0 up through via an impressive brace from Kenny Rocha Santos however we couldn't hold out for what would have been an incredible win as they pegged us back to 2-2 and perhaps deserved to win!
N.E.C -
A great win thanks to goals from substitute Oliver Bias and a last minute penalty for loanee left back Pascal Hackethal.
PEC Zwolle -
A really boring 0-0, we slightly shaded the game however didn't create enough for my liking. View attachment 13004What a superb finish in our first full season in the top tier of Dutch football. We finish 7th place on 48 points as PSV do the double.

View attachment 13003Our season isn't over however as we place FC Utrecht in the European places play off semi final!

Quite a bit of transfer news to finish the month!...
View attachment 13012Alassana Manneh joins in the summer when his contract with Huesca expires. I like the look of his player traits especially when you combine it with his technical and mental attributes however he does look incredibly lightweight.

View attachment 13009The next player through the door in the summer is Idris El Mizouni. Just like Manneh, he has impressive technical attributes with 15 technique, 14 vision and 13 passing alongside handy player traits. Unlike Manneh though, he is taller and a lot stronger.

View attachment 13008After 3 loan spells with the club, striker, Calogero Minacori will finally join the club permanently in the summer when his contract with Cagliari expires. He will become one of the highest paid players at the club behind our other summer arrivals.

View attachment 13007 Another striker that joins in the summer, this time from Fortuna Sittard in the division below, is Jesse Panhuis He is 18 so has plenty of time to develop and is physically very imposing, quick and strong alongside good movement, anticipation and finishing.

View attachment 13006The last signing for now is Yoel Armougom. He is a left back that will come in on a free, he is fairly small and lacks strength however is a good outlet as a left wing back with some impressive technical and mental attributes.

End of the season
View attachment 12958What a win and performance! We absolutely blitzed them, Benedikt Kirsch got us on our way with a very early goal although they equalised straight away. Frankaty Dabo then scored an amazing solo goal before Michael Maria scored early on in the second half.

View attachment 12957 We were without Enzo Millot and Michael Maria and it showed as we were pretty toothless up front. We looked to be going through with a goalless draw however Idrissi then scored with 10 minutes to go to make it squeaky *** time, however we managed to hold it out!View attachment 12956In the other semi final, Ajax beat FC Twente in both legs so we will be playing the giant of Dutch football in the final.View attachment 12955What a first half performance! Just like we did in the league, we managed to go away to Ajax and take a 2-0 lead into the break. Again history repeated itself though as two late goals meant we shared the spoils. Ajax deserved at least a point from this game to be fair.

View attachment 12954What a game, Ajax dominated the first half and went into half term winning 1-0. We then had a 20 minute spell where we were dominant and scored through Minacori. Ajax then took control again and led through Hansen. We came back and created some great chances which fell to the wrong players as we fall to a 4-3 aggregate defeat in the final.

View attachment 12953View attachment 12952Some good amount of income after a good league finish which is a club record high!

As a result of the income, the board splashed out...
View attachment 12949We will be having a stadium expansion which will be completed mid July as 1,500 seats will be added to one of the stands costing £1.9million.

View attachment 12948Alongisde the stadium being developed ever so slightly, we are also improving the youth facilities which will cost £825,000.

View attachment 12951What a signing Rayan Raveloson has been! He came in on a free after Laros Duarte left and has won signing of the season and fans player of the year ahead of Frankaty Dabo and Pascal Hackethal, who claimed the young player of the year. I would have to agree with the fans and also give Raveloson player of the year with solid performances and 6 goals from defensive midfield.

View attachment 12950 As well as swooping most awards, Raveloson got best pass completion rate and highest average rating. Minacori again claims top goalscorer with the pair sharing the most player of the match awards. Surprisingly left back Frankaty Dabo with a crossing attribute of 7 got most assists!

June

Two Euro qualifiers with Wales...
View attachment 12707Luxembourg - A really convincing performance and win! We played some fantastic football at times. Lawrence, Bowen (2) and Connor Roberts with the goals.
Sweden - I was tempted to go back to a 4-1-4-1 formation for our trickiest game of the group in my opinion however after some brilliant results I reluctantly kept the 4-2-3-1 formation which obviously didn't go very well as we fell to a 2-0 away defeat.

View attachment 12706We finish the month in 2nd level on points with Israel however they have a better goal difference and a game in hand! Sweden trail us by 2 points however also have a game in hand so we could see ourselves fall to 3rd if they both win.

Transfers and pre-season

Kenny Rocha Santos
has left the club as his loan had terminated alongside his contract at Saint Etienne however he didn't want to join the clubpermanently. Oliver Bias and Enzo Millet are back at the club for another year though! A few more players left View attachment 12687The most notable departures are Simon Lorenz, Christopher Braun and Papis Dembele. All of their contracts ran out and they wanted too much money to be back up especially as they're all getting a little old.

View attachment 12678
As you can see we have spent some money and we have signed quite a few players! You have met all the players up until Idris El Mizouni, now lets meet the rest...
View attachment 12686Jean-Kevin Duverne - A centre back from Lens. He is our most expensive signing at £400,000 however looks an all round tidy player. He has strong marking and heading with fantastic mental attributes. He should add some quality and composure to the back line.

View attachment 12685Fransesco Di Nolfo - An Italian inside forward arrives from Luchesse. He adds some quality going forward and strength in depth as he will be competing with Enzo Millot on the right hand side. He is left footed which is an added bonus coming off the flank. Great technique, first touch, movement and determination!

View attachment 12684Max Tschauner - A £200,000 signing from Benedikt Kirsch's old side Greuther Furth. He has some amazing mental attributes for an 18 year old! He looks a real handful at 6ft and acceleration of 16. I will look to improve his technical attributes however.

View attachment 12683Nicholas Pierini - An inside forward on the left hand side. Like his fellow Italian, he arrives to add strength in depth and give competition to Bias and Maria. He has some impressive technical attributes that coincide with his flair of 15 so should be a handful.

View attachment 12682Denis Renard - The young Frenchman arrives following his contract expiring at Niort. He has some impressive mental attributes for a young player alongside a good engine and frame at 6ft and weighing at 80kg. Again may need to improve his physical attributes to be a first team regular but risk free with no transfer fee and a small wage.

View attachment 12681 Philipp Feser - A young central defender arrives for £40,000 from Schweinfurt. He is tall and has a jumping reach attribute of 19 however heading of 8! Like our other youngsters he has good mental attributes however needs to improve technically to be near the first team.

View attachment 12680Fred-Werner Radchul - Arrives for a low fee from Schalke. He is very quick and looks to be a good outlet. I will look to play him as a wingback still despite the fact he is naturally an inverted wing back and is only left footed.

View attachment 12679Melvin Bard - Probably my best signing considering his age and fee paid. He looks like an all rounder at left back and at 22 years of age, he still has time to develop. He arrives for £54,000 from Lyon.

View attachment 126775 wins from 6 pre season games! 3 of which we kept clean sheets in. An impressive win against Belgian side Genk with El Mizouni and Millot scoring the goals!

View attachment 12676Despite finishing 7th last season and adding a few good players to our squad the media have us predicted to finished 14th and have the same odds as both newly promoted sides. We have lost influential player Kenny Rocha Santos and I assume as a result the board agree with the media as they have given us a target to avoid relegation again.

August

View attachment 12675FC Groningen - What a start to the season! We didn't dominate the game although we blitzed them with clinical finishing. Oliver Bias opened the scoring before a Benedikt Kirsch brace and a debut goal for Max Tauschaner
AZ - Our first away win of the season against a team we picked up 0 points from last season! It was a free kick from Idris El Mizouni that won us a very close game.
NAC Breda - We fall to a 3-2 defeat to prevent us from getting a 100% record. We were 3-0 down at half time after Tim Brinkman scored a brace of screamers for them. We managed a little comeback after goals from Enzo Millot and Fred-Werner Raduch

View attachment 12674A decent month sees us finish in 6th. Despite both the media and board thinking otherwise, I feel we are good enough to finish in the top half of the table again this season!

Transfers
View attachment 126734 departures! Cees James was a decent young central defender however I felt the younger ones that have come in are better and with his contract up at the end of the season I cashed in for a low £41,000. Richard van der Venne was a reserve player and I allowed him to go on a free to division 2 FC Voldendam. Two key players of our promotion year have gone, Herve Matthys and Frankaty Dabo have both gone for £850,000 potentially rising to £1,000,000. Dabo is currently injured and we have looked fine without him. I felt that this was the moment I was going to get the most out of these players and with new youngsters that are just as good I felt it was the time to cash in on them whilst interest was there.

View attachment 12671The sale of Frankaty Dabo was a club record, not bad for a right back that arrived on a free.

I did however get a loanee in....
View attachment 12672Lucas Rosa - A right back from Sassuolo. He has some very impressive attributes! He is very quick just like Dabo was although has a lot more quality going forward and should be a great addition to the side!

September

We start the month with some injury updates...
View attachment 12615Lucas Rosa strained his hamstring on his debut meaning he will miss the month and half of next.

View attachment 12614Rayan Raveloson will join Rosa on the treatment table after pulling his hamstring and as a result he will miss the majority of the month.

View attachment 12611FC Twente - We start the month with a great 2-0 win against a strong side. Calogero Minacori grabbing his first of the season with a phenomenal solo goal where we took on 3 players before slotting it home, before Oliver Bias doubled our lead and put the game to bed.
FC Utrecht - Back to back 2-0 wins! Minacori doubling his tally of the season with a poachers finish. Benedikt Kirsch who is in fine form at the minute scoring another goal.
Feyenoord - A really good close encounter. 50/50 possession, both teams have 6 shots at goal however we slip to our first defeat of the month as they were that bit more clinical than us with Aboubakar Kamara scoring the winner.
FC Dordrecht - A slightly rotated side against lower league opposition in the Dutch Cup. Jesse Panhuis scored his first goal for the club on his debut, which was just after Fransesco Di Nolfo missed a penalty! Alasana Hanneh then put the game to bed with a well taken goal.

View attachment 12610We finish a good month in 6th place. After 6 games, we have yet to draw and have 4 wins alongside 2 defeats. We sit an impressive 4 points off of leaders PSV and 9 points off of relegation threatened Excelsior.

Wales

Gareth Bale
has retired from football which is obviously a big loss. I gave 3 players their first call ups. Central defenders, Will Heard of Birmingham City and Robbie Sainty currently on loan at QPR from Wolves. Striker, Kien White of West Brom also gained his first cap, more of him later.
View attachment 12613New Zealand - We had a friendly thankfully at home before our crunch game with Israel. Ben Woodburn scored a 35 minute brace before I hooked him with the risk of him getting injured. We ran riot after further goals from debutant Kian White, Jarod Bowen and an own goal.
Israel - A big win away from home! I debated going 4-1-4-1 but stuck to my guns and it was a great idea as a Sam Vokes brace and Harry Wilson beauty meant we are back in pole position to qualify.

View attachment 12612That meant we finished the international break back on top! We have 10 points followed by Sweden on 9 and then Israel on 7. In the next break we have our 6 pointer against Sweden who have yet to lose.

October

View attachment 12599sc Heerenveen - a very dull game with little talking points as it ends in stalemate.
N.E.C - A very comfortable win with two early goals from Bias and Minacori sealing our first win of the month.
FC Emmen - We completely dominated however won by a single goal scored by Rayan Raveloson.
ADO Den Haag - We went away to Dabo and Matthys new team, the latter didn't start for them! We went a goal down despite being the better side and had to wait until the 84th minute when substitute Nicholas Pierini scored his first for the club.

View attachment 12598We sit in 4th however we are going to be overtaken by Ajax whenever they play their games in hand! FC Twente are absolutely flying as we trail them by 10 points although have played a game less. We have 2 games in hand on Roda JC and find ourselves 9 points clear of them as it stands.

Wales
View attachment 12597Iceland - We did everything but score in this game! Hit the bar, had a disallowed goal and Sam Vokes came off the bench to miss a sitter late on, 2 valuable points dropped!
Sweden - Another game where we dominated, we created triple the amount of chances they had but somehow failed to score any of them! Harry Wilson and Chris Mepham were both injured for this game alongside Ben Davies who was suspended and it showed as we lost our crunch game!

View attachment 12596We fall to 2nd and have missed out on the chance to qualify as leaders as we cannot overtake Sweden. 2nd is out of our hands now as well as Israel are a point behind us with a game in hand! Thankfully we have Luxembourg last so we should pick up 3 points there but who knows!

November

View attachment 12492PSV - A close encounter that we lost out on by 3 goals to 1. Oliver Bias scoring a consolation goal for us.
Excelsior - A dominant performance ends in a convincing 4-0 win. Minacori scoring a brace. Idris El Mizouni and Oliver Bias with the other goals.
PEC Zwolle - Another convincing performance and result to match! Minacori and El Mizouni scoring a goal each again! Benedikt Kirsch also scored a wonderful volley to seal the win.
Willem ll - We weren't at our best to say the least. Oliver Bias carried on his hot streak with an early goal before they turned the game on its head with 2 goals either side of half time. Substitute Max Tschauner left it late to steal a late point.

The end of November sees us in 6th place. We sit 3 points behind Groningen however have 2 games in hand whereas Ajax sit level on points with us however they have one game in hand. FC Twente remain at the top although I can see PSV overtake them once they've caught up on games.
Wales

I brought on Sam Vokes to give us a more physical presence up top and it worked as he scored the opener. Harry Wilson then sealed the win late on.
Serbia - I tried our 4-1-4-1 formation against a strong Serbia side away from home. It was a pretty boring game with few chances however they deserved the win which came from an awful back pass from Ben Davies.

View attachment 12482Huge thanks to Sweden whose 2-0 win against Israel meant we finished 2nd place on 14 points!
