I've bin playing a 4-4-2 as well and Cahill never makes my 1st 11. Defour and Moutinho have been immense since i brought them in, just bought a few good youngster in ready for the January transfer window as needed back up for Baines (Mattock) as Luke Garbutt is far to young to play for the 1st team as yet

F*@k!!!!!

I just got home and the lead had fallen out of the back of my laptop- my 2-0 aggregate win against Real is gone :(

Anyone know how to recover lost games? Or is it just a case of replaying and hoping for the same good fortune..?

GET IN!!! IT AUTO SAVED!!!

I thought I'd turned it off the other day, obviously I hadn't- thank f**k too!XD
Look at the date of the second leg Real screenshot- 26 Feb, which means the auto save kicked in on the 28th- that was a ****** close one!

lucky boy, 2-0 aggregate against madrid when they have got kaka and ronaldo aswell is good. If you fall out of the top four now that would be a kick in the teeth. Lol

Cheers mate :)

Yeah that might be up there as my greatest FM result of all time to be honest!

Like you said, especially given the talent in the Real team (Benzema, Kaka, Ronaldo, etc)

And it's all the more sweet cos I've created and used my own tactics from the start.

Fair do's, but I just always use Lescott as emergency left back then stick Yobo and Jags at DC- save yourself a few quid. Then, if worst comes to worse, you could always stick Phil Neville at DL... :P

Dunno bout sticking Neville in at left back :O i have read in old posts that Mattock becomes a really good player and is even in the full england squad in latter games so i'll have to see how he gets on, besides, he only cost me around £3 mill i think so not a bad deal for a future England international ;)

I know, he's absolute emergency left back for me! i.e. if Baines, Lescott and Srna are all injured. I think I'm pretty well covered in that position now ;)

As for Mattock, yeah I keep hearing things about him, he's not performed too well on my game as yet. I'll keep an eye on things and maybe a cheeky pre-season bid.

Oh and by the way...

EVERTON GIANT-KILLING RUN CONTINUES!

Despite some indifferent leage form, Davies follows up his masterminded 2-0 aggregate win over Real with a first leg 1-0 win against Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan! (And they've bought Moutinho!)

DAVIES DOES IT AGAIN!

Same tactics as my Real Madrid victory, this time against Inter- another 2-0 aggregate win! Galatasaray in the next round...

EVERTON INTO EUROPA LEAGUE SEMI'S!

Cries of "1-0 to the Everton" rang out around Goodison Park on Thursday night as Everton followed up their 1-0 away win over Galatasaray with yet another single goal European victory and in doing so, went through to the semi-finals where they will face CSKA Moscow.

HSV face Fiorentina in the other semi final tie.

Right, there's not long left now in my first season at Everton.

I'm into the Semi's of the Europa League and 5th place in the Premier League.

Vagner Love has just been ruled out for 3 months but I've got Yakubu, Vaughan, Anichebe and Baxter chomping at the bit to get a game.

Here are my remaining fixtures/ league table; where dya think I'll end up?

Well here are the results....

EVERTON ARE EUROPA LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!

Instead of my usual 4-5-1 defensive counter attack formation, having just beaten Chelsea 1-0 at home in the league by playing an attacking 4-4-2, I decided to go all out against Fiorentina in the Final- the result speaks for itself......

As for the League, I fizzled out an finished 6th. A couple of dodgy away draws against CIty and Bolton and a defeat to Arsenal made sure I was out of the running for 4th before the final game.

Still, a great season. Despite the crippling loss of Fellaini to Man City, I feel I've got a good replacement in the shape of Camacho.

Now for Pre-Season; Item One- Find amazing left winger...

EVERTON WIN THE SUPER CUP!!

Again, I decided to go all out attack (this tactic works awesomely well against the big teams, particularly in Europe) and was 3-0 before Yobo got sent off. Still, check out some of the AC Milan signings in the screen shot...

So it's time for Season Two...

I think I'm gonna stick with my tactics for now, see how things go and maybe change to a 5-3-1-2 with Srna and Baines as wing backs- I only see the best of Cahill when he plays just behind the front 2 and I don't wanna drop any strikers.

Anyway, here are my Pre-Season changes...

Here are my currant transfers
I am using Chris' new update, although i have changed the transfer budget to £25 million as thats around what Everton have to spend this season, well judging on the players we've bid for anyway, i also selected to the board that i will finish in a european cup spot
what skin is that?

BOJAN 5.5MIL WTF :O that a great bargin

How did u get him so cheap?

I have no idea! He was on my shortlist all through the first season and I even bid £12m for him in pre-season but it got rejected.

Then Barca bought Kaka for about £40m.

Then West Ham had a bid for £5.2m accepted (?!) so I upped it to £5.5m and he came to my Europa League/ Super Cup Champions!

whoa that's so cheap your well lucky lol
