Tisdale Parts Company with City..

Sources from Exeter City Football Club, have confirmed Manager Paul Tisdale, has left St James Park, by Mutual Consent.

Manager Tisdale, brang Exeter from Non-League football, to back to back promotions to the nPower League 1, in 2009. After keeping Exeter in the division, following a draw with Colchester United at St James Park, Exeter & Tisdale held disscussions over a new contract- These talks broke down after a bust-up over Transfer and Wage budgets. Tisdale is regarded as Exeter's finest manager, and fans will no doubt be dissapointed to see him leave the club. Former Plymouth Argyle Manager Paul Mariner, is favourite to take the job at City.

A Member of the board at St James Park said this to the Echo & Express- "We are dissapointed to see Paul leave, he was a fine manager and a great character. We wish him all the best in the future" The Board Member confirmed Exeter were in talks with several managers, over the job at St James Park, but said Paul Mariner wasn't one of them.

Exeter City Manager Odds-

Paul Mariner- 2/1
Geriant Williams- 3/1
Martin Allen- 3/1
Jim Gannon- 4/1
Joe Kinnear- 7/1
Paul Hart- 7/1
Jim Magilton- 11/1
Paul Sturrock- 25/1

Kinnear New City Manager, As Hart Rejects.
Fans Delight At New Boss.

Exeter City welcomed a new manager to St James Park, and for the 3rd tier of English Football, its a big name- Former Wimbledon, Luton & Newcastle manager, Joe Kinnear. Kinnear's last job in Football, was at Newcastle United, where he couldn't stop The Magpies, from relegation to the Championship. Before a match against West Brom, the Irishman was took ill, and wasn't to manage the team again. Kinnear had a good spell at Wimbledon in the 90's guiding them to 6th place, in the Premier League.

Kinnear's entrance into the hot-seat at St James Park, was a suprise- Kinnear said "Exeter is a wonderful club with a positive spirit, the club has been going foward, and I wish to continue that success on and off the pitch." Kinnear was also questioned about recent health worrys but responded "My health has been a problem, but I have spoke to my GP, and I have fully recovered- I am confident I can stay here for a long time." The Exeter's fan Trust, even admitted it was a suprise to see a big name at the Exeter Helm, as did many of the fans- But they were clearly delighted.

Former Portsmouth & QPR Manager Paul Hart, was offered the Grecians Job, but rejected as he had 'Higher' ambitions. One Exeter fan said "Hart's record is awful, I'd much rather have Kinnear than Hart." Former Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Mariner held formal discussions with the Exeter board, but decided his love for Argyle, was enough to keep him away.

Kinnear will come to Exeter, already in the fans good books, after comments about rivals Plymouth Argyle when he was Luton manager in 2001. Kinnear said his targets for the first season were; "Mid-table finish, and free transfers with some loans, the club is always improving, thats what will stay"

Exeter fans will be delighted, with Kinnear at the helm many pundits are expecting the glory days at St James Park, to continue.

This is actually very good so far. But didn't Kinnear manage Plymouth for a bit? Judas!
Thanks mate- I don't think Kinnear did, as he reffered to them as a Small Club, when he was Luton Manager. He is sure to a rough reception when he comes to Home Park ;)

He will use his energy, desire and power to bring all he can to the Grecians- He has a variety of passing, which will open up new levels of play. Rhys Murphy and Giles Sunu are both strikers on loan from Arsenal, they will be leading the Exeter front line and looking to fire Exeter into the top half of the table. Holma Eyjoflsson and Stephen Darby, are the new City defenders on the block. Eyjo, a CB from West Ham will be the tough, hard tackling defender- While Darby is taking on a new at LB, which will be a learning curve for him- Though one that should see his game improve. On loan keeper Peter Gulcasi will be Exeter's number one keeper for the start of the season, after many years on the fringe at Liverpool. It is sure to be exciting times at St James Park,
Jones Departs Grecians Services.

Exeter Pre-Season Review
The Pre-Season is all about match fitness, trying out new players and tactics- And thats exactly what Exeter did. Joe Kinnear through-out the matches varied between 4-3-3, 4-2-2 & 4-2-2-2. It is expected 4-4-2 will be the tactic to lead Exeter into the new season.

V Cowdenbeath- Friendly- St James Park- 0-0: A Bore draw at St James park, as both defences were stronger than attack, Joe Kinnear will be expecting more from his strikers.
Man Of the Match: Scott Golborune
Attendance: 1752

V Brechin- Friendly- Glebe Park- 3-1 (Harley, Logan & O'Flynn) : Exeter fired to an easy away win in Scotland- Goals from Harley, Logan & O'Flynn give the Grecians their first win of the Pre-Season in an impressive performance.
Man Of the Match: Ryan Harley
Attendance: 466

V West Ham Reserves- Friendly- St James Park- 3-1 (Spence OG, Thompson & Logan) : Exeter strolled to a suprise easy win against West Ham Reserves- A Jordan Spence Own Goal opened the scoring in the first half before 11 subs for the 2nd half, put Exeter rampaging against the Hammers defence. Thomspon slotted home followed by a Logan penalty- Fred Sears scored a consolation goal 5 minutes from time.
Man Of the Match: Jake Thompson
Attendance: 1006

V Tiverton- Friendly- Ladysmead- 0-0: Another blank, another poor performance from Exeter. Despite having 21 shots on goal, Exeter couldn't score. Finishing will need to be improved for the start of the season.
Man Of the Match: Artur Kyrsiak
Attendance: 854

V Chelsea Reserves- Friendly- St James Park- 1-3 (Eyjolfsson) : Exeter put in a battling display against the Champions Reserve side, but 2 goals from Daniel Philliskirk and another from Fabio Borini give Chelsea the win. Eyjolfsson headed in at 2-0 to give Exeter hope, not a bad performance from the Grecians, but Chelsea were always better.
Man Of the Match: Holmar Eyjolfsson
Attendance: 1032

V Hampton & Richmond- Friendly- Beveree Stadium- 5-1 (Sercombe, Logan, Shephard 2 & O'Flynn) : City's weaker first 11, put in a confident performance, agains Non-League side Hampton & Richmond. A 25 yard effort from a tight angle put Exeter in front, Sercombe the scorer. A Smashing Logan shot followed by 2 goals from Shephard and then O'Flynn converting a 1 on 1. Joe Kinnear will be happy with his teams improved performance.
Man of the Match: Bertrand Cozic
Attendance: 536

V Burnley- Friendly- St James Park- 2-3 (O'Flynn & Murphy) : Exeter put in a valiant performance against nPower Championship side Burnley, and were unlucky not to take a draw. Goals from Iweulomo and N'Diaye after 35 minutes looked to have give Burnley the win but O'Flynn replyed a minute after to put it 2-1. But only 5 minutes later Jay Rodriguez's un-marked header restored Burnley's 2 goal advantage at half time. Rhys Murphy capatalised on a Defensive Error to score an open goal and the Grecians nearly made it 3-3, only O'Flynn's header went over the bar from close range.
Man of the Match: John O'Flynn
Attendance: 1923

Joe Kinnear admitted he was "Impressed and delighted" with the Grecians pre-season and said they were "Progressing greatly" and then added "There is more still to come". The Grecians put in some fine displays against Tougher Opposition, and fans will be delighted about the new signings. Only time will tell if Pre-Season is a false hope, for the Grecians.

nPower League 1 Preview.
This seasons nPower League 1, is set to be the most close and exciting to date. Almost any team can be promoted, if they have a good season- The main promotion contenders will be; Huddersfield, Peterborough, Plymouth, Sheffield Wednesday. Chalton, Colchester, Brighton, Swindon & Southampton. However teams like; Bristol Rovers, Carlisle, Exeter, Leyton Orient, MK Dons & Oldham can make a playoff push. However all those teams metioned, could also be pulled into a relegation fight- Tranmere, Hartlepool, Rochdale & Dagenham are the bookies favourites to be relegated.

Joe Kinnear is hoping for his Exeter team to finish mid-table, an improvment on last season, where they avoided relegation on the final day of the season. Exeter have made changes to their side, no fewer than 8 players brought in for the new season. All positions have been improved, and St James Park is no easy place for any visiting team to come.

Exeter start their season away against Huddersfield, their first home game of the season will be against newly promoted Bournemouth. One fixture fans have been looking foward too is the 'Devon Expressway Derby' against Plymouth Argyle. The fixture at St James Park is on December 14th, a Tuesday Night, which both clubs have criticsed the FA For. It will be the first fixture between the clubs in over 9 years. The fixture at Home Park will be on Monday 25th April, 3 games before the end of the season which could be vital for both clubs. City will be at home on Boxing Day against Huddersfield and finish the season with their longest journey; Away against Carlisle.

Exeter will have a tough job on their hands, to improve on last season. The introduction of new players, should push Exeter up the table, but maybe not want Joe Kinnear hopes for.

League Prediction: 17th.
FA Cup: 3rd Round
Carling Cup: 1st Round
Johnstone Paint Trophy: Area Last 8
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grecian Brief's
  • Exeter will play Charlton Athletic at home in the Carling Cup 1st round.
  • Troy Archibald-Henville has resumed light training after picking up a serious knee injury last season. Daniel Nardiello will miss the start of the season after picking up an injury, and lacking in fitness.
Thanks for reading :)

Really nice summary of each game, with a good clean layout and decent signings for that level. I think a mid-table position / playoffs is a realistic target. good luck

Kinnear Warned Over FA Comments
Manager Fury Over Loan Rules
Exeter manager Joe Kinnear has been known to get in hot water over his comments in the past, and once again he has been warned by the FA, over comments about Loan Rules in the nPower League 1.

Kinnear had a problem with the rule, that only allowed 5 Loanee's from the same country, in his starting squad- Kinnear said in a press conference "Its a f***ing joke, how are we ment to sign these players, if we can't play them? We have no money to spend on players, so we rely on loanee's and then some fat bigot says we can only use 5? Its a disgrace, I tell you, overpayed idiots who make these rules."

Kinnear currently has 7 Loanee's on his books at Exeter, all of whom's parent clubs are based in England. Kinnear told the Echo & Express, his worry over keeping Loanee's happy and picking his side; "I need to keep all my players happy, what happens if they are all in form? Players are injured, and I need more than 5 Loanees in my squad?"

The FA Responded to Kinnear's comments by issuing him with an official warning, released the following statement; "At the FA, we are dissapointed in Mr Kinnear's comments. We understand Exeter's situation, however this rule is in place to stop clubs abusing the loan system. Mr Kinnear must accept this, as all other 91 managers do in the Football League."

August 2010- A New Start.

August 2010- The new chapter for Exeter City Football Club. A chance for the club to progress, under a new manager and a new team. It all starts here- Exeter City Football Club.. Progress.

" Come on City, Come on City, Come on City!"

V Huddersfield- Galpharm Stadium- nPower League 1- Loss 2-1 [O'Flynn]
Exeter's start to the new season, was a dissapointing one. The Grecians got off to a flying start, when John O'Flynn latched on to a through ball, to smash home. Exeter went into Half Time Leading, but when Damien Johnson's shot crashed against the post, Anthony Pilkington was there to fire home. The away faithful thought their time was heading for a point, only for a Lee Novak header to smash off the bar into the back of Peter Gulacsi. An own goal, give Huddersfield a deserved win.
Man of the Match: John O'Flynn
Attendance: 15,522.

V Charlton- St James Park- Carling Cup Round 1- 3-3 [Noble, Sunu, Murphy- Exeter lose 3-0 on Penaltys]
Exeter knew they had a tough task to knock Charlton out the Carling Cup, but they got off to a flying start. O'Flynn passed across the area, for David Noble to tap in. Things got even better after 29 minutes, Noble passing through for Giles Sunu to slot home. I didn't take long for Charlton to get back in it, after a period of pressure, Joe Anyinsah dribbled into the box and scored. Charlton levelled with 5 minutes left, Ben Thatcher crossed in for Jose Semedo to score- The Home Fans were in shock. So the game went into Extra Time, and Charlton must of thought they won the match when Anyinsah scored is 2nd of the match- But straight from the re-start Sunu crossed for Murphy to bring the match to penaltys- Which Charlton won 3-0. Exeter out of the Carling Cup at the 1st hurdle.
Man of the Match: David Noble
Attendance: 3297

V Bournemouth- St James Park- nPower League 1- Win 3-2 [Eyjolfsson, Shephard, Nardiello]
Exeter's first nPower League 1 match at home, proved to be a successful one. Exeter made the brighter start, Holmar Eyjolfsson powered home a header from a corner after 18 minutes, to give Exeter the lead. Exeter looked home & dry when Golbourne's pass back across the keeper, let Chris Shephard tap in. But fans were fearing a repeat of Tuesday Night, when Jason Pearce scored un-marked from a cross- And their fears were confirmed, when Liam Feeney scored from a tight angle in the area. But Exeter kept fighting, and Daniel Nardiello won the match after 77 minutes with a magnificent run and shot.
Man of the Match: Chris Shephard
Attendance: 6905

V Dagenham & Redbridge- Victoria Road- nPower League 1- Draw 2-2 [Eyjolfsson2]
Exeter went on the road, looking to follow up their 3-2 defeat of Bournemouth. It was the Daggers who took the first blunt, poor defending from Steve Tully let Tomlin get a cross in, for Bas Savage to head home. Only 2 minutes later, and Exeter were level. A Chris Shephard corner, headed in from Holmar Eyjolfsson. Exeter grew as the game went on, Shephard's corner cleared, he hit a 2nd delievery- And that man again, Eyjolfsson with a diving head, the Grecians led! Exeter looked safe for an away win, as the board for stoppage time went up- But Bas Savage got into the area, from a horribly tight angle lobbed Artur Krysiak. A Bitter blow for Exeter, late on- The teams shared the spoils!
Man of the Match: Holmar Eyjolfsson
Attendance: 3089

V Oldham- St James Park- nPower League 1- Win 1-0 [Sunu]
After a cruel draw against Dagenham, and a win against Bournemouth, the Grecians were looking to go on an unbeaten run- In a dull match, of few chances the game was brought to life by Giles Sunu wonderful 25 Yarder. A Solid performance from Exeter, a deserved win.

V Bristol Rovers- St James Park- Johnstone Paint Trophy 1st Round- Loss 3-1 [Cureton]
Joe Kinnear said before this match, he wanted his team to have a nice run in the cup- But that was stopped at the first hurdle, by Westcountry Rivals, Bristol Rovers. Will Hoskins opened the scoring, from Dawkin's cross, he simply tapped in from 6 yards. It took until the 63rd minute for Exeter to find a response- Conor Clifford's wonderful ball, Jamie Cureton rounded the Bristol keeper, 1-1. Only 5 Minutes later Jeff Hughes put Rovers back in front- A Brown shot looked as those it was going wide, but Hughes slid in to take the ball into the net- Exeter claimed for an offside, but the flag stayed down! Bristol finished the match off in the 72nd minute, Chris Mavinga taking advantage of poor marking to head home from a corner- Howard Webb sent off Richard Duffy for a 2nd bookable offence, with 10 Minutes left.
Man of the Match: Jamie Cureton
Attendance: 2003

Ups and down in August for the Grecians, but all in all a positive start in the league. The negatives for Joe Kinnear, will be seeing his side crash out of 2 cup competitions- The Carling Cup and the Johnstone Paint Trophy. The later of which Exeter had a realistic chance of getting to Wembley in. Joe Kinnear said his sides start to the season was "Positive" and that "The team is doing well, the new faces and the old ones." Exeter sit 11th in League 1, and the coming months could decide what direction they head foward in.
I thought we did well, nice win lads, well done- Joe Kinnear after Exeter beat Bournemouth 3-2 at St James Park.

The Tactics Corner-
One notable change in tactics, midway through the month, seen a limited change in fortunes for the Grecians. Exeter started the season using a 4-4-2, with Carole & Michail on the wings- But Joe Kinnear changed this, to play a 4-3-1-2 formation. Using an attacking midfielder, behind the 2 strikers. The change seemed to work, the Tactics Corner will follow this through-out the season.

Keeper Gulacsi Loan Terminated After Bust-Up
Club In Shock After Fight.

A Calm and collected Joe Kinnear, reassured the press, there was no tension or un-rest at Exeter City Football Club. He come out, after pictures of a shocking fight between on loan keeper Peter Gulacsi and now 2nd choice keeper Andy Marriot. The pair were discussing Goalkeeping Choices, when things turned nasty- Manager Joe Kinnear and Ryan Harley were forced to pull the pair apart.

After the bust-up Kinnear confirmed Gulacsi would not play for Exeter again, and he would be returning to Liverpool. A Spokesman for Exeter City released the following statement; "At Exeter City we do not tolerate any violence- Whether it be staff, players or fans. After listening to both partys involved, we decided it was in the clubs best interest to let go of Peter. We wish him all the best."

In his short spell at St James Park, Gulacsi made 2 appearences, conceding 4 goals. Young Polish keeper Artur Krysiak will take the Number one goalkeeping spot for Exeter.

All eyes will be on St James Park, to see whether un-rest has hit the camp- Or whether this was just a small blip. Only time will tell.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grecians in Brief
A Monthly Round-Up of Events.

- Defender Troy Archibald-Henville made his first start of the season, in the 3-1 defeat to Bristol Rovers. He had made a full recovery from a Knee Injury picked up in Citys last Campaign.

- Star Player David Noble was took off in Citys match against Rovers, scans later revealed he has picked up a torn hamstring, and will be out for 3 months. He will be greatly missed in the first 11, but Joe Kinnear is confident the side can do well without him.

- Richard Duffy has been suspended for one match, after picking up a red card against Bristol Rovers. He has also been given an official warning by manager Joe Kinnear.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking Ahead- September 2010
Whats Next For The Grecians?

Exeter manager Joe Kinnear said the months leading up to Christmas will decide whether Exeter have a good season or bad. September will start that road to Christmas, and Exeter have a tricky month ahead. They will start the month at home against 3rd placed Leyton Orient, before travelling to the County Ground to play in form Swindon. Walsall are then the next visitors to St James Park, another tough match for Exeter. Then the opponents Colchester & Peterborough, who are below Exeter in the league table, will face the Grecians- Both teams have the power to beat Exeter, so the Grecians better watch out.

Predictions From BBC Football

Exeter City 1 - 2 Leyton Orient
Swindon Town 2 - 1 Exeter City
Exeter City 2 - 1 Walsall
Colchester United 2 - 0 Exeter City
Exeter City 0 - 3 Peterborough United

Like the bbc predictions and tactics corner mate, great stuff. Unlucky in the JP trophy though

Goalkeeper Moens Signs For Exeter
But Krysiak To Remain First Choice
After the termination of Peter Gulasci's loan from Liverpool, Exeter had a hole which needed filling in the Goalkeeping position. Joe Kinnear sent his scout team across Europe, to find him a goalkeeper capable of providing stern back-up for Artur Krysiak. Kinnear had been given 3 potential options, and decided to sign 37 Year Old Oscar Moens.

Moens was signed on a free transfer- His previous club was American Side, Dayton. He was in impressive form at Dayton, playing 12 times, conceding 8 and keeping 5 clean sheets. He also has had spells with PSV and AZ, representing Holland 2 times at senior level.

Joe Kinnear called Oscar "An amazing keeper, who will provide expierenced back up to Artur and will be sure to help Artur where possible." Oscar has started taking English Lessons after training sessions, so he can communicate with his team-mates and can't wait to get playing- Despite him being number 2 goalkeeper.

Exeter have also brang in youngsters Tomos Roberts and Yann Nsaku, Kinnear commented on them as talented youngsters and bright-sparks for the future.

Anybody following?

Just read through this mate, like some of the different things like predictions and the grecians in brief section. Keep it up.

Thanks Guys.

The updates are generally coming late at night, which is a bit of a problem. The next update will be tomorrow evening, with September & October.

Obviously if not enough people are following, I will close up and let other storys get their chance :D

September 2010- The Climb
Joe Kinnear had been saying the months leading up to Christmas, were the most important. September was a chance to push home the message, that the Grecians were up and ready for a playoff push- Despite the nature of tough opposition.

V Leyton Orient- St James Park- nPower League 1- Draw 0-0 :
Another dull affair at St James Park, but one boss Joe Kinnear will be pleased with. Exeter's defence did well to shut out the in form Orient attack, and get Exeter a pleasing point to start the month.
Man of the Match: Holmar Eyjolfsson
Attendance: 6845

V Swindon- County Ground- nPower League 1- Loss 4-0 :
A poor performance from City away from home, resulted in a heavy loss against fellow Westcountry side Swindon. City did well to contain Swindon in the first half, but a change in tactics to 3 in the back caused an Exeter collapse. Artur Krysiak palmed away a cross but Thomas Dossevi fired in the re-bound. Dossevi added his 2nd, just moments later, a brilliant cross from the left and Dossevi headed home. Jon Paul McGovern added to the scoreline after 62 minutes, a well weighted ball to him on the right of the area, he smashed home a brilliant goal. Swindon completed the trashing with 2 minutes left, Jonathan Douglas tapping in from 2 yards after a ball from the left. Exeter were well beaten, and Joe Kinnear will have to take the blame.
Man of the Match: Steve Tully
Attendance: 7464

V Walsall- St James Park- nPower League 1- Win 3-2 [Carole, Antonio, Cureton(Pen)]
Exeter responded to their heavy defeat to Swindon, with the only way they could- A Win. Joe Kinnear changed from 3 CM's to 1 CM, and 2 wide men- And it worked with good effect. Michail Antonio made a fantastic run to cross in for Seb Carole to score. Antonio got a goal for himself, Golborne crossing in, for Antonio to head in from 6 yards. Exeter went in 3-0 up at the break, when Sercombe was brang down in the box, Lee Probert awarded the Grecians a penalty. Jamie Cureton smashed home. 2 Second half goals from Darren Byfield made things un-comfortable in the 2nd half, but Exeter's domination down the wings provided them victory.
Man of the Match: Michail Antonio
Attendance: 5012

V Colchester- The Weston Homes Community Stadium- nPower League 1- Win 4-1 [Cureton, Clifford, Sunu2]
Well, what a win! The odds were firmly stacked against Exeter, but the Grecians pulled in a massive away win. The party got started after 3 minutes, Jamie Cureton headed against the bar, but he was there to tuck in the rebound. Conor Clifford doubled Exeter's advantage with a crashing shot from the egde of the area. Giles Sunu scored a fluke of a goal, when his cross from the left, found the back of the net! Sunu added his 2nd, after an amazing run, dribbling past 4 defenders to smash home for 4-0. Anthony Wordsworth scored a consolation goal, but it didn't stop City from taking a famous away win.
Man of the Match: Giles Sunu
Attendance: 4258

V Peterborough- St James Park- nPower League 1- Win 2-0 [Sunu 2]
City followed up their away trashing of Colchester, with another fabolous win- This time against promotion candidates Peterborough, at St James Park. The Posh missed a host of chances they should of scored, and were punished in the final minutes. Sunu headed on the ball, at the halfway line, O'Flynn ran and then crossed for Sunu to tap in an 88th minute goal for the Grecians- There was no nervy ended here though, Exeter went straight up again and scored. Harley's deflected cross found Sunu, who vollyed home. Only 3 days after the famous win at Colchester, and Exeter were at it again!
Man of the Match: Giles Sunu
Attendance: 5138

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAno0AbdDsg"]YouTube - Exeter 2 - 0 Peterborough - Match Highlights[/ame]

Note: The following match was played in October, and only because I lost track of time it will have to be added in for a table update.

V MK Dons- St James Park- nPower League 1- Loss 2-0 :
Exeter lost their unbeaten home record after a poor performance against the MK Dons- The Grecians side looked totally different to the one that recorded shock victorys against Colchester & Peterborough. Josh Parker opened the scoring after 31 minutes with a deflected shot from the edge of the area, and a Jermaine Easter penalty on 61 minutes finished the match off- Easter, the former Argyle man, took the penalty after being pulled down in the area. Exeter were poor, and didn't have the luck that graced them for the previous 7 days.

Joe Kinnear will have enjoyed his September. The month highlighted by the fact of 2 massive wins against Colchester and then Peterborough- It shown that on the day, anybody can beat anybody in League 1 and that Exeter CAN Push for promotion. Exeter's home form is what Kinnear will have to hope on if Exeter were to make a serious push for Championship Football, and with just 1 defeat at home things are looking up for City.

The Tactics Corner- The major tactical decision from Joe Kinnear this month, was the choice to take out 3 CM's and put in just 1 CM and 2 wingers- This worked with amazing affect. City stretched teams on the breakaway, and were a danger down the right and left wings. It proved to be the pivotal success in wins against Walsall, Colchester & Peterborough- Also helped by a sterdy back-line. Another tactical decision from Joe Kinnear, was to change things at half time against Swindon, when at 0-0. Kinnear had no choice but to bring off a tiring Duffy, and with no RB's on the bench, he put in 3 CB's. It give Swindon's wingers a chance to attack City, and was a pivotal factor in the 4-0 loss.

Coming Up- October 2010
October 2010 can't be a much tougher challenge than September, but after a fantastic September, the Grecians will want to continue showing League 1 what they are made of. The team will first of all travel away to bottom of the league Tranmere, expecting to recover from defeat against MK Dons. Then its on the road again, this time to Southampton, any result here will be a massive bonus. Then its 2 Westcountry Derbys for Exeter- First struggling Yeovil at home and then Bristol Rovers away, who are also in good form and sit 6th- Exeter will be looking to get revenge against Rovers, after their JPT Loss.

Predictions From BBC Football-

Tranmere 0 - 2 Exeter
Southampton 3 - 1 Exeter
Exeter 3 - 0 Yeovil
Bristol Rovers 1 - 1 Exeter

Nice layout and looks like your doing well so far :)
it is quite a challenge with exeter as you literally have no money so can only sign free agents or have to sell before you can buy. fair play for playing as your rivals teams and ill try and follow. good luck

Its a quite challenge, but I am more use to using teams with no budget. They haven't been too bad at the start of the season, I'm more confident of getting a result against Argyle now.
