Mine has got to be Lincoln from this FM, I'm not sure I've ever seen a youngster so good. You can also add to that the bonus of signing this guarantied world beater for 2m every time is one of the best bargains in FM history also.

Daniel Braaten in FM12; he used to knock the ball quarter of a pitch ahead of himself and nobody could take it, even if it went through them. Scored 30 a year off the wing in every playthrough.

marco verratti, signed him every year until he joined PSG, what a player. I keep him in my shortlists now, in case he ever gets listed or unhappy

I have never seen him be that good in my saves and have bought him a few times on the cheap from PSG and wasn't worth the money I paid. What role did you play him in?

One for the lower leagues, Joe McKee ex of Burnley currently at Greenock is an absolute stormer to play in behind the strikers. Your coaches and scouts will tell you he's only Conference quality but his high ratings on set pieces means he can be carried and relied upon to deliver 20+ goals a season through scoring or assists. Worth his weight in gold!

Had him at Montrose from 3rd Division to SPL champions and he never dropped below 7.5 average rating. I only let him go after getting players who bettered him on set plays, regardless of the overall ability.

The good thing is that his stats have remained consistently high for a number of iterations of FM to date

Its got to be Jamil Adam from FM12.

He was a Non-league/lower league superstar! Consistently scored 40+ a season and won me numerous promotions with my saves.

I find it a lot harder this year to find such lower league gems
