A bore draw here, but we had already won the first leg 3-0 so it didn't matter. We play Roma in the Italian Cup final.

It looked like we were going to suffer a shock loss after going 2-0 down but we fought back for a 2-2 draw.

Another 0-0 draw. Genoa who are fighting for survival gain a valuable point against us and pretty much ruin any chance we had of catching 2nd placed AC Milan.

A disappointing home loss to Roma who have been pretty poor all season. This loss means it's mathematically impossible to finish 2nd.

We finish the season in 3rd which is 3 positions ahead of the 6th placed finish we were predicted. We never looked like missing out on a champions league position this year.

Player Of The Month

Right-back Nenad Tomovic was our best player this month. I played him in central defence this month due to injuries & he impressed and also managed 2 goals. Maybe he will play there more often.

I win my first piece of silverware as Fiorentina Manager. We took the lead via Mario Gomez fairly early on & he doubled our lead just after half-time. Radja Nainggolan got Roma back into the game with an unstoppable long ranged strike, but we wrapped the game up when winger Fernando Bernardeshi scored our 3rd.

So, we finished 3rd. I'm happy with that. We were predicted 6th so it's good to beat expectations :).
Mario Gomez was our top scorer with 29 league goals. 35 goals in all competitions.
Juan Cuadrado was our most creative player with 17 league assists. 20 assists in all competitions.

Our biggest outgoing transfer was Mario Gomez to Bourissa Dortmund for a fee of £25mil. Even though he was one of our best players, and scored 35 goals last season he was nearly 30 so it made sense to cash in. The other major outgoing was Guiseppe Rossi who joined Olympique Lyon for £8mil. He was injured for most of last season and was not needed. The other outgoings were players were just no longer needed or going out on loan.

Hi!

Really enjoyed reading this. I started my own Fiorentina save just after this.
Took me two days to finish the first season. Ended up second in the league and not impressing in the cups.
I'm pleased with the results though, since it's the first time I succeeded with a Pyramid-tactic.
This is my present lineup:
