Flying The FM-Base Flag

This is such a great challenge.

Started off quite well after 10 games, spent £44million so iv still got £5million to make a few more additions in january.

Think iv got the players to keep me up the 1st season though.

I did it on day 2 before Boro etc come in and bid him up. Offered 100% salary plus buy-on clause of 1.5m and Real were glad to move him on. He's been excellent so far, can play left or right back.

Fifteen games in and a credible 9th spot for me, with another couple of mil for January transfer window.

Funny home attendance figures though. 18,000 versus Arsenal and 4,000 versus Wigan, LOL.(H)
 
well they wanna watch the team play arsenal, but wigan vs fmbase... poor game lol

Must say its all very much going downhill for me.

12 games played I'm sitting in 18th place, on 9 points and got knocked out of the 4th round of the LC against man city.
 
just signed keirrison in 2nd season for 16.75m. looks like he will be worth it tho. this was only a friendly but hopefully a sign of things to come. this was also my first game using new tactics from a guy on here put lots up in another thread.
 
Finally got round to downloadin this database. jus finished putin my team tgeva. Im gna ****** struggle, shuda thought about it more.

Startin one up now fellas, I'll post updates if I can sort out posting screenshots...
 
iv started a couple of these and have finished mid table in both.
i tend to spend 5-7.5 mill on one striker, 5-7.5 mill on one midfielder, 5-7.5mill on one defender and 5-7.5 mill on one keeper. i then just buy good players who are transfer listed or out of contract as well as the cheap oldy to fill in the gaps - it seems to work well :D :P
