***FM 14 TACTICAL THREAD***********************JASSAR*******

I played half a season now with Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga with the newest Modern Warfare Home tactic (only used the away tactic against Dortmund away). I won 9 games, drew 6 and lost 2.

A Few things i noticed:

- Corner tactic works perfectly attacking, scored 14 goals from corners
- Most of goals i concede are through balls through the middle of my defensive
- I create less nicely combinated chances where my strikers are the end station compared to the 14.1.3 Home tactic
- Combinations are not so fluid as before

Although the results are quite decent, I still have the idea that this new Tweak since the new patch isnt better then your old tactic where alot of people have had great results. In my opinion there is way too much tweaking done in a short period to the excellent tactic it was, I really miss the good 1-2 combination or through balls to my strikers mainly.

Im switching back to the old tactic and just implement the corner settings there. Would be interesting to see others people's ide of the new Home MW tactic compared to the 14.1.3 one.

By the way not criticising you here Jassar, Im a big fan of your tactics since Fm 2013 and I think those belong all the time to the top tactics out there. In the former patch i preffered your tactics over the Tika-taka because in my opinion that tactic was way too much based on the corner bug. But for this time i really doubt if you actually did a good job with changing quite some team instructions and player instructions since the patch, i think it was overdone. But maybe you can shine your lights on the flaws in the old MW home tactic so I have a better idea what you tried to change.

Tiki taka is going really well average possession per game 60% home and at least 50% away . Conceding 1-2 goals per 10 game and most of them from set pieces . So now main focus is on to some new setting I am trying out

After some of you complaint, you weren't just doing ok with attacking corners I took a closer look at my corner takers. my conclusion: The Corner attribute is not only Key Attribute your Takers need to have. Crossing is also crucial. Players like Fuchs, Aogo, Clemens, Xabi Alonso & Bale have great Crossing stats.

first of all thanks for a honest opinion
no one can guarantee that new tweaks will work for all of us here . every one have a different approach and different players
I always play my older tactics first on the new patch than make some changes and if I like some ideas are working better i incorporate them into tactics even if older ones are working great .
For the through ball conceding goals , put both CB to cover I tick any offside trap and tick drop deeper defensive
fpr the through balls to center forwards play narrow and ball through middle

And I made tactics available to people to test it than made the changes that I think we're necessary at least according to me
a lot of guys like me 14.1.3 , there will be lot of that love the testers and there will be a lot that will like new tweaks

so I have all the tactics available here , it's just the matter of what tactics works best for one person . So if u are happy with the 14.1.3 I will say u should continue with that .
I always want to make a neutral tactics so not a lot of attacking and not totally defensive as I have to keep in mind about all the guys who play with big , small teams an I never say that it's a plug and play .
All of u are more than welcome to make few changes according to ur team .

U need to have physically strong players like dembele and sissoko that are creative too . That will help in making ur midfield more stronger . I won't play a player like eriksen who is weak physically in cm position
 
Guys Michaelnl reminded me of a good point that all the three MW 14 tactics are there

so I cant say which one will work best for u . As I can only test it with a few teams . U should check what team u have and what players and when u start a new game I always save it on before first friendly am than if I don't know which one will work best I play all the friendlies with each tactics . I mean after friendlies are done with one tactics I play them agin from first match by loading the game again . By doing this I will know if this or that version will work for me . Please do that if u can . I know it's time consuming but at least u have a more stable and best suited tactics for ur team . U don't have to switch to other one during season

I just think you take too much ''load'' on your shoulders with announcing new tactics and people getting like spam regen here when you will release tweak A or tactic X etc. Your idea's behind tactics are great and you definitely have an eye on where flaws etc are. But I think to be top notch you should focus on one tactic at atime for release and let people give input about that so in like a week you can tweak your tactic according to that and release it.

It's just an idea and it's ofcourse your topic but I think listing things people noticed in this testing fase in a post on the first page or a link to that makes life alot easier for yourself. For me its sometimes really hard to follow the discussion because important information is spread all over the topic and because its so popular i have to read 10 pages a day when i return from college.

So maybe dont rush yourself too much, dont post too quickly Screenshots from new tactics when you just released one and just tweak it yourself quietly and release it. Then let people give feedback and release a final version of that tactic. No rushes like this. Well just an idea, if you like it this way ofcouse continue with that but respect for your work!

I do like what u said and I will follow it .this is what I am thinking of doing for a long time to make thing going .hopefully this time I will implement it . Thanks

SCHALKE 04 season is over: I was predicted finishing 3rd, reach Semi-Final of the German Cup and First Knockout Round of Champions Cup.

RESULTS:
  • Finished 1st, crawled the Title 3 games before season finished, reached Final of German Cup and made it to the Quarterfinal of Champions Cup.
  • Huntelaar won Goalscorer Award (avg. Rate 7.58) of German First Division and Cup and Clemens was the Player with most Assists in German First Division.

(btw. Huntelaar's season was finished in April, due injury...)

Jassar how are you getting on with testing defensive corners? Want to start a new save but want to make sure I am not conceding goals from corners every game.

I got two settings, testing them . Funny thing is sometimes opposition don't even take one corner all match .
i will paste SS soon so u guys can test too .
