I'm managing montpellier right know and it's a really enjoyable save, as there not got too high expectations so you usually over achieve most seasons and you get a decent enough budget but you get players that are really good!

I am going to start a game with the 'use real players' boxed unticked. I prefer to be a manager of one of these 4 teams: Aston Villa, Blackburn, Newcastle or Stoke. Which one should I pick? However if someone can recommend a fun team to do this scenerio with, I would do that instead!

I would like a team with a massive fan base or potential fan base because of a large populated city so I can grow a club to be the major team. Ideally a one team city rather than place which has 2 or more teams in. Thanks :-)

What are the best teams in BSB? I plan to play a long save and I want it to have very good facilities ( especially for youngsters) and good finances. I'm aiming to take it as high as I can. Very useful affliations are a big +. And how much does it matter if a team is semipro or pro?

After receiving no suggests as the majority of requests on here are for rich, good teams already I consider the boring, I've decided to do a bit of research for those who like to take on a BSN or BSS team but not sure which team has the realistic population potential to compete against larger demo areas. The only problem is finding a large populated area without a large established team in or close by to have the realism i.e Guiseley not pulling in larger crowds than Bradford and Leeds. My populations are approximate and a guide but will hopefully give those of you an idea whether that team has the potential to fill 30/40k seater stadium one day...
Sutton United 185k (in bough), Basingstoke Town 160k, CHelmsford 157k, Bromley 299k (district population shared with Crystal Palace!), Eastbourne Borough 113k, FC Halifax 95k (Hudds/Brad are larger teams/areas), Worcester City 94k, Gloucester 128k, Harrogate town 116k (including Knaresbough etc), Solihull Moors 200k (majority of population support Brum/Villa?). I think my choice would have to be Basingstoke is I think the largest populated area if you exclude those London, Brum and Manchester based teams but I don't have the local knowledge to know to know how much of Bromley actually support Bromley or who just support the Palace. I haven't included teams with areas under <100k. Of course stepping into BSP you will have Stockport, Luton, Grimsby etc who have 200k>

I want to be a 'fallen giant' team that I could rebuild - preferably outside of England but that's not exhaustive. Any suggestions?
