I can only apologise for a lack of form at the moment gaffer
Hopefully i'll turn it around

Glad to see me play all the games so far in Jan! :) Also, I feel sorry for Williams though. From top striker to struggling for fitness and can't get in the team. :)

Especially when you score a hat trick the game before you get dropped! haha

Worth noting that both you and Roberts have a goal to your name in the second part of this month... no idea who I'm going to pick for the cup game however.

Expect the Mid-End January Update tomorrow evening, where we deal with both our FA Cup and Trophy campaigns in one update! And, more importantly, who will start against West Ham, Williams, Goyzueta or Roberts?

I think we all know the real answer is manbearpig.

He was first choice, but unfortunately his flight back from Jamaica was delayed. He's going to stay with Raheem Sterling until his flight is sorted, meanwhile we have to make do.

Rest of January Update

Lowestoft 0 – 3 FM Base (13/1/15) (VCN)

Scorers: Hogg (51), Goyzueta (55), Baker (87)

Ratings: Redgrave 7.1, Thunderfoot 7.5, Palmer 7.7, Harrison 7.5, Whyte 7.4, Mason 6.5 (Litmanen 6.9), Yakin II 6.4 (Peters 6.8), Patrik 7.8, Hogg 8, Goyzueta 7.6, Roberts 6.3 (Baker 7.1)

One of our worst performances of the season, but we get the points. Both our left wingers score as they try to assert their dominance for position.

FA Cup game to be televised
Williams resumes full training

FM Base 4 – 0 North Ferriby (17/1/15) (VCN)

Scorers: Baker (10, 84), Williams (16), Hogg (73)

Ratings: Redgrave 7.1, Banana 8.2, Burheim 8, Harrison 8.7, Whyte 9.1, Mason 7.9, Dance 6.9 (Patrik --), Peters 8.6, Goyzueta 6.8 (Hogg 8.1), Williams 8, Baker 9.2.

Another clean sheet, and plenty of goals. Nice and simple as we prepare for our next cup match. Baker continues his impressive form; Williams returns to score.

Burheim twists knee – out for 2 weeks
FA Trophy opponent confirmed as Oxford City
Post resumes full training
-------------
Gloucester 3 – 5 FM Base (20/1/15) (VCN)

Scorers: Roberts (25), Litmanen (32, 57, 83), Mason (45)

Ratings: Redgrave 7.1, Banana 6.8, Schwarzenegger 6.9, Harrison 6.8 (Palmer 6.6), Whyte 6.8 (Mason 7.3), Patrik 7, Yakin II 6.8, Litmanen 9.6, Hogg 6.8 (Baker 6.6), Roberts 9, Williams 6.6

Really poor defending, not at all happy with that. Pleasing hattrick for Litmanen though, and Roberts returns to the scoresheet as well.
-------------
Whyte strains knee ligaments – misses 6/7 weeks
Thompson resumes full training
-------------
West Ham 2 – 1 FM Base (24/1/15) (FA Cup)

Scorers: Scott Dance (52)

Ratings: Redgrave 6.6, Thunderfoot 6.5, Harrison 6.5, Schwarzenegger 6.9, Banana 7.1, Yakin II 6.5 (Roberts 6.7), Patrik 7.1, Dance 8.3, Mason 6.6 (Litmanen 6.8), Baker 6.5, Williams 6.3 (Goyzueta 6.7)

After an insipid first half display, some tactical genius got us level, Dance finishing a fine move. Unfortunately the Hammers got a winner, but we had our chances. A good performance against a good team, we can travel home with a measure of pride.
-------------
Mason out for 5-7 days, Williams out for 2-3 days.
Arnie sparks contract row
FA Trophy 4th Round Draw – Lincoln vs FM Base/ Oxford City
Thame resumes full training
------------
FM Base 3 – 0 Oxford City (28/1/15) (FAT)

Scorers: Roberts (11), Baker (56), Goyzueta (83)

Ratings: Redgrave 6.9, Thunderfoot 7.5, Schwarzenegger 7.9, Manbearpig 8.3, Banana 8.6, Dance 6.9, Palmer 6.9, Post 6.6 (Baker 7.4), Peters 7.6, Hogg 6.5 (Goyzueta 7.2), Roberts 7.2

Nice and easy. Lincoln away in the 4th round, a nice homecoming for the manager.
-------------
FM Base 2 – 1 Colwyn Bay (31/1/15) (VCN)

Scorers: Biggun (21), Baker (73)

Ratings: Redgrave 6.9, Schwarzenegger 6.7, Harrison 7.1, Harrison 6.8, Thunderfoot 6.9, Patrik 6.8, Palmer 6.5 (Yakin II 6.7), Litmanen 6.5 (Hogg 6.8), Biggun 6.8, Baker 8.5, Goyzueta 6.4 (Roberts 6.6)

Pretty easy win to end the month. Baker continues a ridiculous run of form to score yet again, and Biggun gets one on his return.
-------------
SUMMARY

We’re still on for the non-league double, and we put up a respectable performance in the FA Cup. With a good lead in the league, we should have that wrapped up. A minor rumbling in the players camp as Arnie tried to get more money, but nothing too serious.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Nathan Baker

115 goals for come the end of January is outstanding. Impressive going for us and glad to see I'm back from my injury although that appearance mustn't have been the most inspiring.
