2014/15 Season

Ronan Pike-Burke

BlingSingh kicked off the last season of his current contract by rejecting a new contract offer, disagreeing with just about every term on the table. Not punish his cockiness, the black-ginger was confined to another season in the reserves. However he did make his debut for Villa in October, creating a goal and earning man of the match in a 2-0 League Cup 4th Round win over Chesterfield. In early January Bling was offered again rejected practically every condition on a new contract offer. His next first team appearance came in a 2-2 draw with Port Vale in the FA Cup 3rd Round, where he again got an assist. He also played in the replay, which Villa won 3-2, and yet again earned an assist and a second man of the match. These three appearances proved to be his only in a Villa shirt, as come June he rejected another two contract offers, and his contract expired today. Norwich are showing a strong interest in the genetic freak, maybe he would fit in there... Rangers are also rumoured to be interested.

Cal Sear

Sear started the season signing a new contract worth roughly £27,000 per week for 3 years, however the season was all downhill from here, and the Newcastle manager merry-go-round whirred back into action as Cotterill, Pardew's successor, made way for... Ertugrul Saglam, who decided to ask Sear to attempt overhead kicks. Despite not having the greatest season in front of goal, Sear still went on to win several podium finishes for the Young Player of the Month award, coming second for December, and third for January and May. However May also brought Newcastle relegation, with only a goal from Sear keeping the club from finishing bottom. A few days later Sear signed another new contract, this time taking a pay cut to stay at the club he loves and signing until 2019. He made the seasonal Best XI, accompanying Necid up front. The new contract might not be enough to fend off the relegation vultures however, especially given the poor financial state of the club (Mike Ashley left seasons ago). Tottenham and Middlesbrough have both had offers, of £6.75m+ and £8.5m+ respectively, accepted by the club, and Birmingham are also rumoured to be interested.

Dunc Greenwood

Greenwood continued his form from the previous season, playing an important part in the first teams of both Lyon and Belgium, and come January he was named in the Belgium 2014 Best XI up front alongside his long-term love Lukaku. In February he scored a hat-trick in a televised Champions League Knock Out Round 1 tie against Arsenal, which Lyon won 3-0, however they were knocked out in the following round. Come the end of May Lyon again found themselves at the top of Ligue 1, and champions for the second season running, however this year they lost the Coupe de la Ligue final to PSG. The following week Greenwood's contribution of 31 appearances, 15 goals, an assist and 7.19 average were rewarded with a new contract worth £43,500 per week, and £4,500 per goal or appearance, keeping him at the club for another 3 years. He features in the Lyon Best XI for the season.

Greenwood also continued to feature for Belgium, making 10 appearances and maintaining his 1 in 5 goal scoring record by getting another 2 goals.

Emile William Ivanhoe Heskey Jr

Another season with Castilla saw the young Heskey make 49 appearances, score 30 goals and make 14 assists, while averaging 7.37 match rating, this earned him a first start for Real Madrid on the last day of the season, in which he scored the only goal as they beat Levante. However after this he was transfer listed with an asking price of £1.4m. Heskey responded to this by scoring a hat-trick for his country in a 4-1 win over Honduras, which helped him on his way to third place for the North America Gold Cup Golden Boot. During this tournament he was sold to Montpellier HSC for an initial £1.3m, raising up to £2m dependent on conditions being met, Wolfsburg were also interested but failed to lodge a bid in time.

Jake Miller

After three seasons of relaxing in Villa's reserves Miller was given his chance to get some first team football, going out on loan to Bolton for a £425,000 fee, and going straight into the first team. The black-ginger made his competitive debut in a 3-0 win over Blackburn on the first day of the season, however his first goals didn't come until two weeks later against Wolves, where he got a brace and man of the match in another 3-0 win. This helped him on his way to third place for the August Young Player of the Month award, which is an award he featured on the podium for for September (second), November (first) and April (third). In December, recognising that this black-ginger is capable of playing football, Villa offered him a new contract, but as with his brethren, Miller rejected due to Villa being tight. In the final game of the season Miller scored the winner as Bolton beat Manchester United 3-2 to finish 12th. Miller was given a role in the strike-force for the Bolton 14/15 Best XI. In total Miller made 29 appearances, scored 10 goals, assisted 3 and earned 8 yellows with an average rating of 6.95.

Jao Pricey

Jao Pricey was an important fixture for Ajax throughout the first half of the season, making 31 appearances, scoring 12 goals, making 5, earning 6 man of the match awards and a red card by mid-January, however this form drew the attention of several Italian clubs, with AC Milan lodging an initial £12m for him. However Lazio came in a week later and hijacked the deal, offering an initial £13m to Ajax, and a massive £72,000 per week, with £7,000 per goal or appearance, contract to Pricey, which also contained a match top earner clause and ties him down until 2019. A week after signing for Lazio, Pricey got his first goal for the club to earn a 1-0 win over Genoa. Jao went on to make another 20 appearances, scoring 9 goals and earning another 6 man of the matches, as Lazio won the Serie A by a single point. Pricey was named in the Lazio Best XI in central midfield.

Joe Williams

Following on from their World Cup final loss to Germany, Italy saw it as time to draft some new young talent into the national ranks, and thus Williams made his international debut in a 4-2 win over Algeria in August. Williams continued his impressive Premiership form following this, adding another five Young Player of the Month Award podium finishes to his haul from last season, winning the October and December awards. November saw Joe score his first goal for Italy in a 3-1 friendly win over Ecuador, and come January he was named in the Italy Best XI for 2014. Williams' 43 appearances, 7 goals, 7 assists and 7.14 average helped Tottenham to third place in the Premiership this season, and also earned himself second place in the Players' Young Player of the Year Award. Which was followed days later by a new contract worth £68,000 per week, plus £8,000 per appearance or goal, keeping him at the club until 2020, unless another club triggers the £28.5m minimum release clause. He was also named in the Tottenham Best XI for the season.

Nathan Burbidge

After four season of loans out to lower league clubs, Burbidge finally got his chance to feature for Arsenal reserves, and occasionally for the first team. He made his Arsenal debut in October as a 70th minute sub in a 2-1 win over Spartak Moscow in the Champions League, and in December he was granted an extension to his contract, which will see him at the club until 2017, and earn him a pay rise to £26,000 per week should he play 20 games. The following week he made his first Arsenal start as they beat Cardiff 4-0 in the FA Cup, the then injured his hip in training, ruling him out for two months. Once fit again he featured again in the FA Cup, this time on the losing side as Arsenal were beat 1-2 by West Ham. In the final game of the season Burbidge finally made his Premiership debut, and also got his first goal to round off a 5-1 win over Portsmouth as Arsenal won the league.

Tie Rack

Tie Rack managed to only earn himself two match bans in his first season in France, one for yellow cards accumulation (and his return was welcomed with a broken nose) and one for a red card at some point in the season. In total El Corbatero made 24 appearances, assisted 5 goals, earned 5 yellows, a red and 6.93 average rating as USBCO finished 8th in Ligue 2. He is 'content' at the club, but Cordoba are showing signs of interest.

2015/16 Season

Ronan Pike-Burke

Following the expiry of his contract at Villa, BlingSingh began the season on the dole, however it wasn't long until he was receiving contract offers from a multitude of clubs, including Blackburn, Deportivo de la Coruña, Norwich and Rangers. On the 11th of July he agreed terms with Blackburn, netting himself £44,500 per week until July 2020. The following the black-ginger made his debut against the smog-dwellers, with Boro winning 1-0. In October Bling scored his first goal for Blackburn in his first match against his former employers, as Blackburn went on to win 2-0. BlingSingh was a regular on the left wing for Blackburn throughout the season, racking up 40 appearances, 15 assists and 4 yellow cards to help his team finish 9th, and earn him second place for Players' Young Player of the Year. Bling made the Blackburn Best XI at ML.

Cal Sear

On the day the transfer window opened Newcastle began to cash in on their valuable assets to prepare for their return to the Championship, and as such Sear was sold to Spurs for £7.75m, with Sear being compensated with a £39,000 per week contract, plus £4,000 per appearance or goal, for having to play for them. Sear made his debut in a televised pre-season friendly against Roma, which saw Tottenham win 2-0. A month later he made another debut as he earned his first international cap by coming on as a 56th minute sub in a 2-3 friendly loss to Iran. A week later came yet another debut; his competitive Tottenham debut as a 75th minute sub in a 0-2 loss to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League, however in the reverse fixture in November Sear scored his first goals in a Tottenham shirt, bagging a brace in a 2-0 win. This signalled his breakthrough to regular first team action for the club, making a total of 30 appearances, scoring 13 goals, assisting 2 and earning 4 yellows as Tottenham finished 4th. Sear slots in as a striker in the Spurs 15/16 Best XI.

Dunc Greenwood

Another season of first team action at Lyon (who seem to rotate their strikers) saw Greenwood score 15 goals in 25 games, as well as assisting another 2, as Lyon won the Coupe de la Ligue, but only came second in Ligue 1. However Dunc's true successes of the season came in a Belgium shirt at he scored 11 goals in just 10 games, scoring more than half of his 21 shots in that time. Despite his three braces and five single goals, he only earned man of the match once in this spell. In June Greenwood was granted a new contract worth £43,500 per week, plus £4,500 for each goal or appearance he makes.

Emile William Ivanhoe Heskey Jr

Heskey made his debut for his new club in late July, scoring the only goal to beat Tel-Aviv in a Europa League qualifying match, and made his Ligue 1 debut 10 days date, scoring again in a 2-0 win over Metz. From here the season was pretty uneventful for Heskey, until he fractured his wrist in a match, ruling him out for most of the rest of the season, which saw Montpellier finish 10th in Ligue 1. In total Heskey made 26 appearances, scored 10 goals, assisted another and earned 3 yellows, and a spot on the Best XI bench.

Jake Miller

Following the departure of the other black-ginger, Villa made sure to keep Miller at the club by giving him a new contract which met his standards, earning him £27,500 per week, £3,500 per appearance/goal, and a 15% pay rise each year. Miller's success as Bolton earned him another chance at trying to break into the Villa first team, which he did, scoring his first goal for the club in September to help beat Newcastle 2-1 in the League Cup. In a season which saw Villa finish 6th, Miller scored 9 goals in 22 appearances, assisted another 2, and earned 6 yellow cards, plus a place on the Best XI bench.

Jao Pricey

In his first full season at Lazio, Jao Pricey made 45 appearances, scored 13 goals, assisted 3, earned 10 man of the match awards and 3 yellow cards. However the team wasn't as successful, finishing just 11th in the table following a devastating collapse of form around the turn of the year. However Pricey did earn his first Italy cap this season, playing in a friendly against Israel, which Italy won 3-0. Jao also earned a place in the Lazio Best XI at MR.

Joe Williams

In the first half of the season Williams made 28 appearances for Tottenham, scoring 4 goals and assisted 5, however come January, realising the club wasn't big enough for himself and Sear to co-exist at, Williams fled to his homeland in January after AC Milan triggered his £28.5m release clause, with Lyon and Bayern also interested at this time. Williams signed a £165,000 per week contract, plus £16,000 per appearance and a doubled minimum release fee. Joe scored his first goal for his favourite club at the end of the month in a 3-0 win over Sampdoria, and continued to feature regularly in the first team for the rest of the read, however he wasn't even on the bench as AC lost the Europa League final 1-3 to Monaco... in Sunderland. Williams made 20 appearances for AC, scoring 4 goals and assisting 2 more as finished just 6th in Serie A, however he did make the Best XI in CM.

Nathan Burbidge

This season Burbidge continued to be a fringe player at Arsenal, however he was rewarded with a new contract in December worth £19,250 per week, plus £5,000 per appearance. He made 17 appearances, scoring 6 goals and assisting another 2 as Arsenal cruised to glory, winning the Premiership by 5 points. Burbidge also earned his first cap this season, coming on as a 36th minute sub in a 3-0 friendly loss to Russia in March. Despite only making 17 appearances this season, Burbidge still made the Best XI for Arsenal, at AMR.

Tie Rack

Tie Rack started the season by rejecting a new contract, wanting more money for his services, the club responded by showing him the door, and pocketing themselves £250,000, as he was sold to Elche of Liga BBVA. Here Tie Rack was put on a £5,500 per week contract and featured on the fringes, making 18 appearances, 10 of which from the bench, earning 4 yellows and a red. In April he rounded off the season by ruling himself out for the rest of the season by breaking his foot, allowing him to watch from the stands as Elche finished bottom with just 20 points.

Euro 2016

Three of our members were taken to Euro 2016, the first two, unsurprisingly, being Dunc Greenwood and Joe Williams, however England manager Mancini chose to bring along a young player with a single cap to his name along, Nathan Burbidge. Burbidge featured first, making his first start for his country, as England beat HUngary 2-0, with him getting an assist and man of the match. Next up was Greenwood, who played in a 0-1 loss to Germany, and then Williams played in a 2-0 win over Turkey. In the second round of group matches, Burbidge played in a 2-2 draw with Wales, getting an assist again, whilst Greenwood was our first player to score, netting one in a 2-0 win over Slovakia, with Williams' Italy losing 1-2 to Serbia the following day.

Burbidge again made a goal and earned man of the match as England beat Ireland 2-1, to finish second in the group behind Wales. Williams was the first player to miss a match, as he was benched while Italy beat Ukraine 3-1 to win their group. The following day Greenwood played in a 4-3 win over Northern Ireland, but failed to score or make a goal as Belgium finished second in the group.

The first of our representatives to play their second round match was Burbidge, who played 88 minutes against Croatia, however England crashed out 2-3 after extra time. Williams' second round match also went to extra time as Italy lost 1-2 to Scotland. Greenwood's Belgium took things a step further by going to penalties, having been 1-1 after 120 minutes. Greenwood did not take a penalty, however his love Lukaku did, and missed as Belgium lost 4-5 to Belarus.

(Wales won their second round match to set up a quarter final with Scotland, which they won 2-0 to get to the semis, where they lost 0-2 to Spain)
