I still think you're failing to understand how IRC actually works.

If you want to use Mibbit then go ahead, I know a few of the regulars in the channel actually do. All you need to do is enter the server and channel details and off you go.

Personally I think Mibbit is pretty poor and only use it when I don't have access to a real IRC client.

Why would we want to register at Coldfront? We've been on DeepIRC for years now and never had any problems with it. It's simple, easy, connectable, and works 24/7.

DeepIRC appears unreachable at the moment, meaning we can't connect.
 
Anyone know a mac compatible one? I've got Colloquy but not sure if it works have typed in irc.deepirc.net but don't know how to find FM-Base. Is there a better client easier to use?
 
I can't seem to reach deepirc...

Would it not be easier to have one on Xat instead?
 
You can't reach DeepIRC becasue it's currently down.

No, as said before, we have been on deepIRC for years with little problems.

It occasionally goes down like this for a short while, but on the whole its great. Why would we change?

I use Colloquy and it's fine mate.
 
Is it back up again as I am trying to get on through Mibbit and failing :(

Do you only chat with the people on your friends list or everyone that has IRC on the Base?
 
Its basically a chat room that is made for FMBase that we talk on and stuff
