Never mind about that, forget it.

Do you have the miRC thing in the bottom right corner of your screen?

If you do, you can go right click, favourites, then time "fmbase" in the channel you want to join.

I have posted printscreens of what I'm doing....
I just don't understand why it won't work :O :(
 
I just clicked this irc://irc.deepirc.net/fmbase and it sent me straight in. I think :)

have mIRC installed then typedirc://irc.deepirc.net/fmbase
into your web browser. then it will work.

I keep getting put in some weird chat room XD

When you say web browser, what do you mean exactly?
 
I just followed Sean's instructions in the OP and it worked :D
 
People heard about me making regular appearances you see.
 
Anyone know what to do once the 'evaluation period' of mirc runs out? Won't let me use it unless I pay for it now.

it just takes longer, it will still let you continue into the IRC room, mine ran out a week ago mate
