Does anyone else find FM10 extremely tough compared to previous seasons?

I have been playing FM for a long time now and this version is simply too difficult. I dont mean the actual gameplay, i mean the actual games. I am losing to teams much worse than myself and have tried everything with tactics and training but to no avail. The main problem is conceding goals constantly, almost every game at least 2 go against me. What the ****? I have only haad it for a couple of days but already am big time put off.

Is there something i am missing, maybe a new feature or something? I don't understand why i am struggling so much, anyone else having problems like mine?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am struggling too,I am playing as West Brom,I haven't lot a game yet,but have won 1 and drawn 5 of my league games and won all my Cup games, strange thing is that I was demolishing team in pre season, 2-2 draw against Liverpool's 1st team, then a 7-0 and 4-0 and some 3-0s,but have lost that momentum now :/

I have tried with Villa and Newcastle. Both had the same problem - conceding goals.

tryed everything from tactics to training? ne decent defenders u got?

mate its not that its super hard or that ur ****, its the real life of being a manager, some managers such as paul ince and john barnes have waltzed in thinking its going to be easy, and have both sucked, you need to analyze the players and fit a tactic around them, for example dont play 451 if u dont have a good target man, or dont play 4 33 if u dont have good wingers

and also the players might have no intention to play for you, attend at least 2 press conferences per month. and use the backroom advice, it sometimes says to praise peoples play, and never ask assistant to do the teamtalk, if you win always say well done no matter how bad you played, its the 3 points that matter

its similar to last year in the terms of difficulty

I think its easier compared to FM09. I struggled with that one. This one I am having better luck with.

I struggled with FM09 I think that FM10 is much easier and more things to help you on this one

lol, im struggling with birmingham so far, though im creating the tactics in the classic view, before my save file would not load after saving halfway and then my laptop died =/

im definitely gonna create an anti-football tactic with the new tactic creator this time and try it with a poor team again :D

haha too diicult lol....well dont you think thats what sets it apart though? i personally think deep down you are more excited^^)....if not wont be long once u get the grip of it and get some decent players in...haha(A)

i think this 1 is much easier, before my laptop decided to have a fit i was top of league scoring few goals but only conceding 2 in 15 games, even managed to sign david silva and david villa for £95m for the pair, that was for each on 09

Havn't played it long enough to say if it harder then 09 but I think why some people think its harder this year is because how much harder it is to find better players for easy money.
Last year you had
Srna
Sakho
Zapata
Vanger Love
Hamsik
Zhirkov
Palombo
Veloso......well entire Sporting CP midfield basically

This year it not that easy (especially not with fullbacks) infact I see more people making a big money signing for more well known players unlike last year.

It was hard to start with, but fiddled around with tactics and you get somewhere, dont give up!

If youre really struggling take a look and tactics and theorems '10 :)

I had the same problem with Ajax in my first season, it was frustrating but now i'm in my second season, brought in some players and things got better.

i think it is abit easier than last year TBH, i played 2 seasons as liveprool, and won the prem twice, league cup once, fa cup once, and champions league twice.

and charity sheild +supercup

It is VERY hard with Blackburn, but that is why i went for FM, you just have to get used to it and enjoy the challenge

Only been playing for one day with Fulham, seems abit more difficult. I keep losing 1-2...lost away to Arsenal, Aston Villa and Valencia all 1-2(which arent bad result really, even though the supporters have complained about all of them) and beat Burnley at home 3-0.

Signing players seems to be harder as clubs want more money and even if player is listed for loan they want large fee compared to last year.

Got a stupidly low 500k transfer budget for the season for Fulham, what kind of premiership class player can you buy for that? 3-4 million would have been more realistic for Fulham.
