on Concentration and DoF
love my DoF after handing over the signing of a big name defender where there was no "estimated cost" in the scout report. couldnt agree to a value and didnt want to overpay so I handed the negotiation over to my DoF, he managed to get him in to my surprised! (although I did have a sizeable transfer budget as Southampton - the guy, 5. Mauricio Lemos (great defender!) end up costing me 26 million - in a single payment.
Concentration - I've played since FM14 and never have I felt I have so many goals conceded from long balls by seemingly weaker teams because my 13million defender (in my case 17. Virgil van Dijk with a concentration value of 9) keep losing opposing team strikers. I just keep seem to have better defending records when I drop him for a lessser defender but much better concentration score. My plans are to slowly get rid of any players with concentration below 13. So Podolski with a finishing of 20 but cont of 8 was absolute **** for me.
Players are smarter when asking to leave as they won't let you agree to accept a bid if they meet your "reasonable asking price". since I have used to set it to 100million just to stave off any suitors - players actually actively negotiate the value you will be able to set for them.
team report is a monster of a tab for all the info you need about your team depth. absolute gem there.
It should be better ofc, they say that they got that ME bug with crosses fixed so it's already far ahead on that alone. It's quite unrealistic in FM16 with the crosses.
