Ok, just loaded up my first save of FM17, and after an inital look at the Liverpool-players and some of my go-to players for pace and acceleration my impression is that these stats have become even harder to get a high rating in. Sturridge for example has been nerfed to 14-13. In a quick search i found noone with 20 in either of the stats. Lallana has 10-10 (lol). Anyone with the same impression?

Fully agree with that. Although Bellerin has 20/20

any issue with the brazil leagues in the end?

Very little has changed once again. In my opinion the time for big ovehaul is now!

Because the game still forces you to play it in a certain way if you want success. Main thing being keep the players happy or fail! The morale and man-management side of the game needs a total ovehaul! You cant be a "mourinho" in this game at all! No hairdryer treatment or the morale takes a nosedive and you start losing. The majority of the professional players really arent such wimps that the game makes them out to be. You should be able to be tougher without the fear of losing the whole dressing room! And even if you did that should be my choice to do so... Team Meeting at least needs to change: I dont want to "ensure that our head dont drop..." I want them to take their head out of their *****!

In seeing a he'll of a lot more of those 'he certainly didn't mean that' type of crosses that come of bar or get tipped over. Maybe it's coz I'm doing llm

I'm new to the franchise so FM 2017 is my first FM. Got the beta yesterday and have been addicted ever since. I started off with Liverpool and I am closing in on the start of the season having just completed 6 pre-season victories (my latest victim was 2-0 against Milan).

I literally spent the 1st three hours of the game just trying to familiarise myself with the look/feel and what I have control of. I think I was just over 3 hours in when I played my 1st fixture.

For those who talk about lag in previous versions, I have not experienced any and loading times are really quick. I am a little overwhelmed with the depth of the game, especially with regards to making decisions for the under 23's and 18's, staff contracts and training regimes. Hopefully I will overcome this soon.

Overall, my 1st few hours have been awesome!

Hey, I'm glad you like the game :) Welcome to FM community. Regarding the fact that you feel overwhelmed by so many responsabilities with U23 and U18, I suggest you delegate those responsabilities to your staff. Maybe you dont know this because you are new to the game, but you can go to the Staff panel and click on Staff Responsabilities and you can choose between so many options. If you need further help regarding this, leave me a reply. Enjoy this beautiful game.

Usuall Problem 11 injuries before the season even starts, when will they learn for crying out loud, Editor again!!! Think if they can't make this more realistic it's probally run it's course, Last time my money is going on this and I've had it since cm 00/01.
Such a shame they don't actually listen unless it's something to make them more money.

That's right, FM has been consistently -25% off real football in terms of injuries. You can bet a tenner that they tweak this such because of the whinging. It's gotten to the point that even SI -- who aren't exactly reknown for top class documentation of their games considering the above average complexity -- have dedicated an entire FAQ section to the topic at hand. With the frustration you can sympathize. In parts because there is a big amount of random chance in the mix. You can start a save with the same club multiple of times, and do the same as previous, but still have different experiences on each of them. However, if the argument is a lack of realism, it all falls apart. When will people watch football for crying out loud. This is a huge bug bear of mine, as individual crisis happen, and in parts they can look exaggerated by the fact that depending on your starting squad, several players are already out as they are injured in real life. But people making this sound as if a dozen players out would be a once in a lifetime occurance, even if it is pre-season, should go back to Fifa.

If they followed football they'd know about top medical staff and management such as Bayern's losing every player for two months a season when broken down for three years, how there's been several pre-season crisis with up to 15 players out at the same time, how you don't hear van Gaal giving a moan when he goes into Europe with 15 of his players out such as last season, or Wenger screaming buggy game every year because he's missing his players when it counts the most. In comes the armchair gaffer thinking he could do better than them even when he never considers injury proneness prior to signing players, has his players tackling hard on every rainy night away to Bolton, and has his entire training regime geared towards heavy fitness the entire ****** season -- all because he can.

For some reason nobody gives **** that this affects the database and player development and squad management. But as long as all the talent comes flushing Joe FM is a happy guy so SI will keep it at the remarkable -25% off. If this sounds like a rant, it was supposed to be. Speaking of which, where is that frustration thread alongside to the guys who never look at any football stats outside of FM, downloading all those tactics that struggle to break opponents down all the while leaving their back door wide open during each of those attacks screaming scripted whenever they are punished for it, never once even considering if they may be contributing? Given that there were promises of improved AI role picks and in-match decision making, which if at all would make AI opponents more competitive and efficient than before, which was needed (some really poor performances) it should be here already, shouldn't it? Bit worried, tbh.

You have been addicted to a thing that has no cure. You are one of us now doomed with no social life expect that social tab in FM.

But other notes, glad to see fresh blood and enjoying it. You need lot of time to get hang of things but never be afraid to make topic and ask about things ;)

Hey thanks Bujakaa! I have definitely been hooked since I went home this weekend without my pc. As soon as I walked into my house I was on FM haha. Looking forward to making friends here and enjoying hours of FM!

Anyone else play on 2D classic?

I've had to go to 2D because in classic is seems to slightly stutter during highlights which is annoying.

Still much prefer classic but can't stand the laggyness

This is a known issue that is being investigated right now.

I've noticed one big change in the MLS from last year's edition. LA Galaxy bought Per Mertesacker from me for 1,2m and just made a bid of 5,5m for Cazorla. Never seen MLS clubs this active on the transfer market, very happy about this.

I sold them Mertesacker in January. Was never gonna sell Cazorla though.

Cheers WJ, 2D mode is okay, just prefer the bigger screen of Classic.

Also set my game to Dark mode which seems nicer to me

Probably fm touch suits you better??

I'm finding it a bit easy. Got Hearts to the knockout round of the Europa league with no real challenges. Only dropped 11 points from 24 games. I'm starting a new save with the same tactics and a different team. I honestly hope there's no repeat of that success. I want a realistic challenge.
