Managerial Changes

These have all been summarised separately but here are all the managerial changes since the last full update
Oliver Freed Chesterfield > Crawley
James Beadle Rotherham > Darlington
Damien Worrall Port Vale > ???

League 1:
The two clubs in League 1 have started well and are both hovering outside the relegation zone, with managers Pavel and svenie continuing the progress from last season.

League 2:
Although none of the clubs are in the automatic promotion places, Crawley are hovering just outside it in 4th place, with the recent change of manager not seeming to affect the club's performances. Bury are just outside the play-off spots and are in the same position that they finished in last year, continuing to play consistently. Crewe and Bradford are both comfy in mid-table, with there being no repeat of last year for Bradford, as this time manager Mark Cole has settled in. Morecambe and Accrington are just outside the relegation spots and the former have been disappointing in their performances, leading some fans to question whether Nick Phipps is the right man for the club.

Blue Square Premier League:
New manager James Beadle has just taken over the reigns at Darlington and so far they have continued the form that led to the old manager being sacked, with performances needed to be lifted.

Crewe sack Nezzy:

Crewe have today announced that they will be sacking manager Nezzy, after a poor half season. Crewe have spent the most money in League 2 over the past few seasons but have failed to deliver and found themselves in 18th place at the end of December, significantly below expectations. Nez Potato (more commonly known as Nezzy), has said that he was dissapointed to be sacked, and would be looking to find another job soon.

Another full update will be coming tonight but let's just look at where our managers are at currently

Still in their original jobs:

League 1:

The two teams in League 1 are continuing to play well and above expectations, and are both comfortably in mid-table, with the Gillingham home ground being turned into a fortress.

League 2:

The biggest story in League 2 has been the rise of Bradford, who have gone on an incredible run of form with manager Matt Cole being labelled as a genius by some fans. They are already in the automatic promotion and there is even talk of a title challenge, and if they can keep up this form, who knows? Crawley are lurking just outside the playoffs, on goal difference behind Port Vale. Crawley weren't expected to do much at the start of the season, and a play-off place would be an incredible achievement for the club. Down at the other end, Bury have been very disappointing so far this season, and there are rumours that manager Mark Fletcher might not be offered a new contract for next season. Accrington and Morecambe have also been disappointing, especially the latter, with manager Nick Phipps under a growing amount of pressure and Damien Worrall has already been installed as the favourite to replace him if he gets fired.

Blue Square Premier League:

The only club in here are Darlington, who are casting nervous glances behind them and are in serious threat of relegation, with manager James Beadle looking unable to turn the tide.

Johnstone's Paint Trophy:

Bradford have beaten Bury 1-0 in the quarter final after a narrow game, but lost 2-1 to Walsall in the North Semi-Final
Gillingham lost in the South Quarter Final to Bristol Rovers on penalties, after a 0-0 draw.
Southend beat Aldershot 2-0 in the South Quarter final but again lost to Bristol Rovers on penalties in the semi-final, after a 1-1 draw
Bury lost the quarter final 1-0 to Bradford

FA Cup:

Gillingham got through to the 3rd round, beating Charlton 2-1 and Ebbsfleet 3-0. However in the 3rd round, they were drawn against giants Liverpool, and duly got thrashed 4-0 in a televised tie.
Southend lost the first round 3-1 against Hereford
Bradford beat Crewe 2-0 in the first round, but lost 1-0 to Bristol Rovers in the second
Crawley got through to the 4th round, after beating Cambridge, Cheltenam and Tamworth. However, they were drawn against Reading in the 4th round and lost a narrow match 1-0, in what was their record ever attendance
Bury lost the first round 2-0 to Southampton
Accrington lost the first round 2-1 against Cheltenham
Morecambe lost 1-0 against AFC Wimbledon in the first round
Darlington got to the second round after beating Colchester 2-1, but then lost 3-0 against Brighton in the second round.

FA Trophy:

Darlington got to the second round after beating Romford 4-0, but were drawn against Blue Square Premier leaders Barnet in the second round, and lost 2-0

Damien Worrall replaces Mark Fletcher at Bury

Bury have announced that former Port Vale boss Damien Worrall will be the new manager of Bury football club, after a poor run of form that saw them slip into 22nd. He replaces manager Mark Fletcher who said his sacking was inevitable after the huge dip in results. Damien Worrall will be hoping to turn Bury around and at least get them into mid-table by the end of the season.

Nezzy takes over at Aldershot

Nez Potato, more commonly known as Nezzy, has taken over at Aldershot Town F.C. Aldershot have been awful all season and have ended up getting relegated and coming last in League 2. Nezzy's job wil be to build the club up again and try to get them back in League football.
