Last year was all about establishing themselves in League 1 and Southend achieved that, finishing comfortably in mid-table. This year, the pressure is on to reach even higher and not catch second season syndrome, with manager svenie looking confident of this.

Grant Thame

Team: Accrington Stanley
Predicted Finish: 19th
Actual Fiish:22th

View attachment 195293View attachment 195294

Last season was very nervous for Accrington and although they ended up beating relegation by a number of points, the threat was hanging over them for most of the season. Once more they are up against it, in what could be Grant Thame's toughest challenge yet

Matt Cole:

Team: Bradford
Predicted Finish: 8th
Actual Finish:4th

View attachment 195298View attachment 195299

Last season was incredible and also heart breaking for Bradford. After going on an incredible run of form in December, they found themselves in the automatic promotion places. However, on the last day of the season, they slipped out of the automatic promotion places and got overtaken by Rotherham. In the play-offs they lost on penalties to Shrewsbury in the final. This season, promotion if not the title is expected, and it will be interesting to see if manager Matt Cole can handle the pressure.

Damien Worrall

Team: Bury
Predicted Finish: 6th
Actual Finish: 21st

View attachment 195303View attachment 195304

Bury were very poor last season, flirting with relegation despite being expected to finish in the play-offs. This led to manager Mark Fletcher being sacked and Damien Worrall replacing him. This season, expectations are lower then ever and a mid-table finish would be accepted by the Bury faithful

Pavel

Team: Gillingham
Predicted Finish: 24th
Actual Finish: 22nd

View attachment 195308View attachment 195309

It all looked to be going swimmingly for Gillingham. In comfortable mid-table until the last few months of the season. They suddenly went through a horrible run of form, and were unable to prevent themselves slipping into the relegation spots. Now back in League 2, they will be looking to bounce staight back up

Oliver Freed

Team: Crawley
Predicted Finish: 17th
Actual Finish: 7th

View attachment 195313View attachment 195314

Crawley played far better then expected to last season, finishing in the play-offs and losing to Bradford in the semi-final. They also had a nice little FA Cup run that their fans can be very proud of. This season, the fans will be hoping to make the play-offs again.

Nick Phipps

View attachment 195315View attachment 195316View attachment 195317

Team: Morecambe
Predicted Finsh: 11th
Actual Finish: 17th

View attachment 195318View attachment 195319

Morecambe were poor last season. Expected to finish mid-table, they slipped and flirted with relegation for the best part of the season. Some of the fans are wondering how manager Nick Phipps managed to keep his job, and he will certainly be under pressure next year.

Nezzy

View attachment 195320View attachment 195321View attachment 195322

Team: Aldershot
Predicted Finish: 20th
Actual Finish:24th

View attachment 195323View attachment 195324

Last year was catastrophic for Aldershot, finishing last in League 2 by some distance. It will be new manager Nezzy's job to try and rebuild the team and hopefully get back to League 2 in the near future

James Beadle

Team: Darlington
Predicted Finish: 2nd
Actual Finish: 16th

View attachment 195328View attachment 195329
Last season wasn't great for Darlington, and new manager James Beadle will be hoping to change that this season, with a play-off spot the minimum expectation

Mark Fletcher

M
anager Mark Fletcher is still looking for a new job after a two year spell at Bury

dissapointed to lose in play offs, but overall it has been a good 1st season for me at crawley now i need to build on this and get promoted next season. and nice to see the fans happy with the fa cup run :)

cant wait for the new season! just hope this isnt like the other game i joined which only lasted two season then the thread closed..

No way lost on the last day to go into the play offs and then lost on penalties in the final :p

Glad I turned things around with a few games to spare. Hopefully, I can now really get them going and gain promotion.

Mark Fletcher takes the reigns at Wrexham while Matt Cole is sacked by Bradford

Former Bury manager Mark Fletcher has become manager of Wrexham, after what has been a 6 month spell without a job. Wrexham have been poor in the Blue Square Premier League this season and find themselves near the bottom. Fletcher has already stated that his task will be to get them back up to the right end of the table.

In other news, Bradford manager Matt Cole has been sacked by the board after a disappointing start to the season. Bradford have found themselves near the bottom of the table despite being expected to challenge for promotion. Matt Cole has stated his disappointment and says he hopes to get another job soon

That will probably be all for today guys and a full update will be tomorrow :)
