Striker Andy Mangan came off the bench to bag a late goal and secure us a draw at home to Hereford. We played quite well but couldn't manage to put the ball in the back of the net, we were then punished when new signing Bondz N'Gala's mistake gifted a goal to Hereford. We face Salisbury at home next who we only played in our last game, losing 2-0.

This result just seems to sum up our recent form. Dave Hibbert put us ahead in his first start for the club since his move from Nuneaton which were quickly followed by goals from Marriott and Law, putting us 3-0 at half time. We then let three goals in within the second half, including two in the last ten minutes to draw Salisbury level. I thought N'Gala would strengthen my defence but it seems to have done the opposite! Drifted well away from the play offs now and sitting comfortably in mid-table, need to sort out this form though before we drop right down.

WHAT IS GOING ON? This result condemned us to another defeat as we continue to drop down the table. I'm very glad that I got offered a new deal a few weeks back as our current form is terrible. We have only won twice now in our last fifteen matches. As you can see, we went 5-0 down after 31 minutes. We travel to Welling next, hopefully we can get out of this terrible form. May try to bring in some new players before then too.

Left back Craig Tanner has left Skrill Premier side Woking on a free transfer, joining Southern Premier side St. Albans. Tanner joined Woking on a free transfer but due to the impressive form of John Nutter, Tanner failed to make an appearance for the club.

Well it's not a loss but it definitely could of been a win. I made a few changes from the Braintree match, most notably Josh Payne returned in centre midfield after a two-month lay off. Dave Hibbert scored to draw us level with his second goal in three appearances. John Nutter put us ahead with his tenth goal of the season from left back before Welling's late equaliser.

We face Lincoln away next who are sitting in 20th place whilst we sit in 15th- very big match.

Blue Square Premier League Table - 30/46

What a change the table looks from only ten matches ago. We now sit 15 points away from the play offs and face a worrying last sixteen games if our recent form is anything to go by. #PrayForWoking

Below are the teams currently in the play off positions.

Do people not like this style of update or? Only asking because I've only had two comments and one like but it's had like 1300 views. If people are reading, I will do some more updates tonight.

I'm going to change the update style a little bit so it won't take so long to update.

I have finished the season now and we managed to finish in 15th position, 5 places above where we were predicted. Even though we were near the play offs at the start of the season I am really happy with our finish. I have made the decision on whom to offer new contracts and will post that news as well as a detailed review on each player from this season.

Below are the results of the remaining 16 matches:

I also have some huge transfer news that will be announced soon. I will post the league table once I have continued the game to when the play offs have been completed.

Final League Standings - Season 2013/14

View attachment 346181View attachment 346178

So as you can see, we managed to finish in a very respectable 15th position. Luton and Kidderminster managed to win promotion to the League Two whereas Aldershot, Hyde, Dartford and Alfreton were the lucky sides to be relegated from the Skrill Premier. Accrington Stanley and Northampton will be joining the Skrill Premier after relegation from League Two. They will be joined by Altrincham, Stockport, Ebbsfleet and Boreham Wood who won promotion from the BSN/BSS leagues.

View attachment 346166
No surprise we had no players in the top four of the high stats in the league. Jack Marriott was our closest but unfortunately it looks like we're gong to lose him as he goes back to Ipswich next season… However I have a brilliant replacement lined up which will be revealed soon.

Player Review - Season 13/14

Goalkeepers

Simon Locke featured in every match for us this season, including all of the cup matches. Rob Brown and Aaron Howe were our back up goalkeepers who I had intended to feature in a few matches but that didn't happen. I may look to bring in a new goalkeeper to replace Locke but that all depends on the transfer budget.

View attachment 346161
Defenders

John Nutter was my star defender as the left back chipped in with thirteen goals from left back with some brilliant free kicks. Cian Hughton was my starting right back and rotated with Adam Newton whose contract I terminated before the season ended. Joe McNerney was the centre back who featured most frequently in my side with Cestor, Ricketts and Ngoy also having their fair share of playing time. Bondz N'Gala featured regularly since his arrival from Portsmouth in January. Oliver Modeste spent the season out on loan at Hampton and Richmond and I hope will be in my first team next season.

View attachment 346155
Midfielders

Fakinos was a regular in my starting eleven which led to the contract of Gary Hart being terminated just before the season ended. Josh Payne and John Goddard did well for us in the centre of midfield, while Hamilton-Forbes and Kieran Murtagh had to be content with a role of a back up player. Murtagh will be returning to Mansfield and his contract is up in the Summer. I am still undecided on whether I will look to bring him in on a permanent deal. With the formation I played this year, Nutter and Hughton were also midfielders, I will change this for next season and try and bring in players with more attacking flair on the wings. The rest of the midfielders were mainly back up players, I will be trying to get rid of a few in the Summer.

Strikers

I was quite disappointed with the form of my strikers this season and it's definitely an area of the team I will be looking to strengthen. When the season started I predicted Jack Marriott would score 20 goals, he managed to score 19 so my prediction is one goal off. Marriott will be returning to Ipswich in the Summer and has another year on his contract their, I will try to bring him back on loan for next season but I'm not sure Ipswich will want him back in this league. Andy Mangan, Romone Rose and Dave Hibbert rotated between being Marriott's partner and were all quite disappointing if truth be told. Will be looking to offload a few as well as loan out Chinedu Vine.

Transfer News: Outgoings - Pre Season 14-15

I've made quite a few changes to the side that managed a very respectable 15th placed finish last season in the Skrill Premier. Due to our impressive performance last season the media have predicted us to finish 13th this time around, showing that we are no longer the team to beat in the league.

View attachment 345700
So, I made the decision to let quite a few players leave the club, despite our good performance last season. Below are our outgoings:

View attachment 345695
Andy Mangan was the first player to leave the club after I made the decision to terminate his contract. Mangan was a regular for us last season however disappointed me with his lack of goalscoring ability. He was also the highest earner at the club and wouldn't take a wage cut so he had to leave. He was since signed for Skrill South side Whitehawk.

Mark Ricketts was the next to leave the club. He had been at Woking for the past five seasons and was my captain so it was a tough decision. Ricketts wanted a pay rise from his £300 a week contract, I didn't feel he deserved it so he was released. He has since signed on a £600 a week contract at Skrill South side Eastleigh.

Aaron Howe
and Rob Brown were both back up goalkeepers last season to Simon Locke and were both allowed to leave after their one-year contracts came to an end. George Frith spent last season out on loan and featured regularly for Skrill South side Staines however I didn't feel he had the quality required to break into my first team. Frith has since gone on to join Skrill South side Bath. Niall Wright is a centre midfielder who has come up through my youth team and is very highly rated by my back room staff- he has joined Whitehawk on a season-long loan.

Nicky Platt
and Dave Hibbert leave the club after less than one season. Nicky Platt has moved to Cambridge City on a free transfer after failing to break into my starting line up. Hibbert was a player who arrived at the club in January and managed to score 3 goals in 14 appearances last season however I didn't feel he would be good enough this season so I managed to pay his contract off.

Next up were some transfers that really did shock me. Paul Grinstead 16, was a player who only joined my youth team a few months ago and was a player who I anticipated to have a large future at the club. However, Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock offered him a deal much better than what we could offer and he left the club leaving us with only 9k compensation.
View attachment 345665View attachment 345664

My next youngster to leave the club was last years signing, Mohammed-Awal Asante. Asante was touted as a future star and managed to make 6 appearances for us last season. The Ghanian has been capped by his countries' under 20 side but when Hibernian offered a 100k upfront, it was an offer I just couldn't refuse.

Next up: INCOMINGS.

View attachment 345653
Transfer News: Incomings - Pre Season 14-15

My main transfer target this summer was last season's top goalscorer for us Jack Marriott. Marriott managed to bag 19 goals for us last season and looks to have a huge future in the game. Unfortunately for ourselves, his parent side Ipswich were relegated from the Championship last season and see Marriott as a key player for them in League One. So, unfortunately it looks like we will never see Marriott in a Woking shirt again, it will be interesting to see how he gets on two leagues above.

After not being able to sign Marriott, I then had to pursue other targets and below are the players who I managed to bring in to the club:
View attachment 345651
Luke Edwards, Andy Corney, Paul Christie + Chris Pearson are all players who are either 16 or younger and will go straight into my under 18 side so I don't have much to say about them. I hope in the future they will play a big part for us, however not for a few seasons.

My first major signing was a player that I would of never even dreamt about being able to bring to the club. Sean Marks arrives from fellow Skrill Premier side Braintree on a free transfer after rejecting a new deal. Marks finished last season as the league's top goalscorer with 34 goals and 15 assists along the way. He is now our highest earner at the club on £625 but I believe he is worth every single penny. A perfect, if not better replacement for Marriott. Marks will also become the club's vice captain.

View attachment 345649
Elliot Bradbrook arrives at the club from recently relegated side Dartford. Bradbrook was Dartford's captain last season and also finished as their top goalscorer despite playing the majority of the season in centre midfield. He can play upfront as well and in fact will replace Mark Ricketts as my new captain. He has very good mental stats for a player in this league which I really like.

View attachment 345648
Kenny Clark
also follows Bradbrook from recently relegated side Dartford to join us. Clark is a solid centre half who featured regularly for Dartford last season and player I expect to slot quite easily into the heart of my back line. Another player with very good mental stats so will also be a good tutor for my younger players.

View attachment 345645
Moses Ademola joins the club after rejecting a new deal at Skrill South side Dover. Ademola left the club three seasons ago and he's a player I feel deserves another chance at the club. Previously I stated that I was looking at bringing in wingers with more attacking flair than our defensive wingers last year and this lad fits the bill perfectly. Ademola scored 8 goals for Dover last season.

View attachment 345634
Christian Nanetti is another player to join the club after rejecting a deal at his old side: Havant and Waterlooville. Nanetti, like Ademola is an attacking winger who managed 8 goals last season for Havant in the league below. At only 22 years of age I feel that Nanetti and Ademola on either wing will give us the attacking flair that we needed to bring into the club.

View attachment 345632
Charlie Grainger will be back up to Simon Locke for us in goal this season. He was released from League One side Leyton Orient in the Summer.

View attachment 345631
Our next signing is another signing which I am extremely shocked and pleased with. Seth Nana Twumasi featured 21 times last season for Yeovil in the Championship before being released in the Summer.I didn't think that we'd have any chance of being able to bring him to the club but somehow the talented full back was convinced to join on a two-year deal.

View attachment 345630
Finally, our last signing was that of left back Jake Wholey. Wholey joins the club after being released from Championship side Nottingham Forest and will be back up to starting left back John Nutter.

New Tactics For The New Season

Home
View attachment 345628
This tactic will replace the home tactic I used last season. The defensive wingers have been pushed forward and are now full on attacking wingers. This tactic will have a lot of flair and the mentality will be OVERLOAD. It's a risk but hopefully we will see a lot of goals in our home matches this season.

Away
View attachment 345627

This tactic will be used in all my away games this season, it is intact exactly the same tactic as I used last season. I'm hoping teams haven't clocked onto it yet though. This has the COUNTER mentality.

I will look to change my tactic every season so that my opposition don't get used to my team playing a certain way also it makes it a bit more exciting. Unlike the individual game updates like last season, I will be giving updates EVERY TEN LEAGUE MATCHES. Any comments welcome.

Season 14/15: First Ten League Matches.

View attachment 345621

My first ten matches in the league have gone brilliantly for us so far. We have only lost two matches and have seen a **** of a lot of goals which is really pleasing. My new signings have been brilliant for me so far with Sean Marks and Christian Nanetti impresses me most, with both managing to get onto the scoresheet on a regular basis.

Season 14/15 - League Matches 10/20

View attachment 345221
Really happy with this run of matches as we only lost three matches out of a possible twelve. We are now only two points off the play off positions with nearly half of the season gone. I don't want to jinx it but I have a very good feeling about this season, the quality we have in this team is so much better than last season. Sean Marks has proved himself as a more than adequate replacement for Jack Marriott and we really have hit a great run of form at the moment.

I don't feel like we have a weak link in our squad this season and definitely have more than adequate replacements in anybody gets injured. We also have some good players from the youth team who are impressing me, most notably: 16 year old striker Matty Moore who has scored twice for us in three senior appearances. (Screenie below)… We also drew to League One side Colchester and face them in a replay to see who will get through to the second round.

Matty Moore apparently has the potential to become a leading League Two striker. I will try not to use him too much this season and I intend to drop him back into the youth side within a couple of months to prevent him from burning out. Hopefully one of the bigger teams want try to snap him off us in the Summer like what happened to my other two youth prospects last Summer.
