Hi, just having a look on the FA Website. Is the way to start by going onto there then coaches and then a bit at the bottom called 'Become a Coach, take your level one certificate in coaching football', then that bit where you contact your county? Then go to the website and book for the course. But I wont do that now obviously lol.

Just wondering what age do you have to be to start that? Im only 13 at the moment.

Yeah that's the way you do it. I guess the age restriction is 16. I haven't done the football coaching courses, but I've got up to Level 3 in Tennis Coaching and apparently all courses are equivalent i.e a level 1 coaching award in any sport is the same. And for the tennis coaching ones 16 was the age limit, and luckily there was one right after my birthday for Level 1. Also I'd try to help out at a club before that, because a club may pay for you to do the course (again I'm not sure if football clubs do this, but my tennis club does!)

Ok thanks. Yeh, I was thinking about what you said at the start, but I wasn't sure how or who I would go to, to help out and who to ask. Also, I don't know what age you have to be to do that, that's if you do have to be a certain age?

you need to be 16 to take the exam mate. and try to get involed with your local amatuer team.
