I've seen it all now. Looking for a pirated version of a demo. Yes....that will leave lots of people short changed won't it. Rip off merchants they are :S
 
Installed demo succesfully, really like the new UI, looks very cool.

I have seen this issue on the bugs forum, and those two methods solved it for different users.

I verify cache via Steam, Steam download some things, but the startup screen is still white.
Oh man, i'm so depresed... Some other solutions maybe?

May have to try to reinstall it maybe
 
By the way for people with White screen.
I had that initially after downloading the beta, i hovered over the screen till the cursor turned into a hand, clicked, that took me to the next screen, it was still White but the txt appeared in grey, I used the back arrow to go to the main screen, was still White but the txt also appeared in grey, started new game.
The next time i loaded up it was colour, t's not happened since and I've loaded up many times.

I presume that because the screen is white, you cannot do this, but can you see the preferences tab?

People do it, they cost me a fortune every day but I have to deal with it and move on. What irritates me more is the clogging up of a useful help thread dealing with it.

Try pressing ALT+SHIFT+F10

It's GPU v CPU rendering, which can be toggled using preferences. But as you cannot get into preferences, that is the hotkey.

Come on mate, im unfortunete not to be able to afford buyin the game when its due out on the 2nd, but i sure as **** wont be a cheap ******* and go stealing it... these guys deserve the money we pay for keeping this great game going. i suggest you think about what you say as your gonna **** alot of people off

Simply because the demo has elements of the structure that make up the full game, which gives an advance view of the internals they want to try and crack. People looking for the demo via torrent are not remotely interested in the demo itself, but planning ahead on how they can rip or download the full game.
 
And the first crash already. Clicked talk to player and it just froze up.

Ah, I see. People will do anything to con game companies out of money. Pirating is wrong kids.
