We finally have a date: Football Manager 27 launches on 10 November 2026.
It will be available on PC/Mac via Steam, Epic and the Xbox PC app, plus FM27 Console on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, and FM27 Mobile through Netflix. Game Pass is confirmed from day one. Digital versions and physical PC launch on 10 November; the physical PS5 edition follows on 20 November.
SEGA lists the UK retail price at £49.99. A Launch Preview will also arrive 1–2 weeks before release for eligible PC/Mac pre-purchases. Exact timing and pre-order discounts are still TBC.
SI has also confirmed there will be no FM27 release on the original Nintendo Switch or Xbox One family.
The first FM27 deep dive focuses on fixing one of FM26's biggest pain points: navigation.
Tiles are now mainly for information, while navigation is handled through clearer top menus: Portal, Squad, Tactics, Recruitment, Training and Club. More screens open full-size, messages can contain things like scout reports directly, and multiple offers for one player are grouped together.
There are also scaling options for different monitors, rearrangeable bookmarks, remappable keyboard shortcuts, custom landing pages and swappable tiles.
The second deep dive is all about immersion — including several things players missed in FM26.
Cup Draws and Transfer Deadline Day return, while News, Club, Competition and Nation screens have been reworked. Career History is full-screen again, Heat Maps are returning and a new Competitions Hub makes it easier to follow the leagues in your save.
Transfers are getting changes too: young players care more about game time, sell-on clauses are surfaced in scout reports, and AI recruitment should place more value on experience and leadership.
You can also choose how often the game interrupts you through new Streamlined, Balanced, Comprehensive and Custom Continue Flow settings.
FM27's latest reveal focuses on atmosphere rather than the Match Engine itself.
Crowds have new models, clothing, flags, reactions and more varied audio. Stadiums have greater visual variety, while a new dynamic time-of-day system changes lighting and shadows during the match.
Weather now affects the pitch more visibly — including wet surfaces and accumulating snow — and pre/post-match cutscenes use many more camera combinations. Player models have also been rebuilt with more varied body types and even hair physics.
After the first deep dive, the Football Manager Community Team answered questions on Reddit and clarified a few details that weren't obvious from the video.
Returning/confirmed: the Competitions Hub, the attribute polygon, transfer add-ons in transfer history, editable keyboard shortcuts and the Reload Skin button. SI says modding/skinning should have no notable change in capability compared with FM26.
Not currently set to return in FM27: the end-of-season review and player data export. SI also confirmed the classic left-hand sidebar isn't returning — the top navigation remains.
Important: questions SI didn't answer are not automatically cancelled features. The AMA specifically focused on UI/navigation.
The big one is next. SI is calling the upcoming feature drop Greater Tactical Expression: a deeper look under the hood of the Match Engine, including player movement, animations, and gameplay behavior.
We're also still waiting for:
the exact Launch Preview date and pre-order/discount details
the full FM27 licensing list
confirmation of any additional platforms
clarity on modes such as Create-a-Club, Challenge Mode, Fantasy Draft and Versus
One update since the earlier announcements: the official Football Manager Discord is now live.
All footage shown so far is from development builds, so visuals, data, and licensing may still change before launch.
We'll keep this thread updated as the remaining deep dives land. What do you want to see most from the Match Engine reveal?
