i'll go for the ol' Carlo Ancelotti. tactical genius and humble man. this my opinion though

Mourinho had success in england, portugal and now hes doing it in italy where there are alot of good teams, he gets my vote, john barnes surely in with a shout or 2(6)

Hate to say it but how can you deny SAF?

Pepe Guardiola and Hiddink had miles more talent than Benitez.

Not really, Rafa probably is one of the most talented..

But it's obvious Sir Alex is the best manager in the world and has been for the last 20-25years?

Sir Alex has really done wonders. He won't retire until he has won Man Utd more top league titles that Liverpool

I agree. all Pep did was inherit the winning side Rijkaard built, and carried it on. He's a good coach, but still has a lot to prove to become a great manager.

Ferguson got my vote, as much as it pains me.

Aside from being the youngest manager to win the CL?

Alex Ferguson is a bully and a big spender. Arsene Wenger is a brilliant tactician and a bargain searcher.

Arsene Wenger, Is one the greatest. The way he gets his team to play football is beautiful. He is not an old winging git moaning at everybody if they lose (Fergie). And his team does not rely on a player or 2 (Rafa)

how come NO one has mentioned the great Walter Smith the man is a total legend

The question says how is best current manager. Does this include all what the manager has done in the past, or just as of NOW, meaning maybe the last 2 seasons...

In eiher case, I think its SAF, because at the time he took over at MUFC, the club wasnt doing that well, as a matter of fact the club was doing quite poorly, nevertheless, he made it the most successful club of the last decade. Pep Guardiola is doing an amazing job. True, the team was full of skilled players, but the morale was very down, and not only he reverted that situation, he won all competitions played that year getting 6 titles in the process, a new record holder for a season. Capello, is also a manager, that won almost everything he can, so does Lippi. Mourinho, is good there as well, I am sure he will be Portugal manager one day. And lets see how he fares there. Wenger, he is good, but not as good as the others. His Arsenal side, doesnt seem to have a consistent in reaching titles, and always somewhere in the seaoson it drops, and by the time it gets back on its feet, its too late.

Steve Tilson. The guy has had nothing but **** since he took over Southend United with next to no money! yet he still won back to back promotions (i no we are in deep **** atm) if it wernt for him Southend United would still be a bottom of the League Two season after season, the guy is a Southend legend and one day will manage at the highest level!* Sir Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager of all time though.

*This is not due to the fact he is a close friend ;)

bill shankly bill struth and jock stein are better managers than SAF

i voted fergie cos i think he is the best manager at the moment and will be for all time... i do not think anyone will ever beat him.....
