For anyone who dosnt know who Sergio Perez is he finished 2nd in this years GP2 championship and brings alot of money to the team from the sponsors Telmex.

This weekend there has been alot of rumours that maybe Massa could be on his way out of Ferrari at the end of the season if he dosnt start to perform, However i cant see it happening until the end of 2011. Id be very very suprised if you didnt see Maldonado in a f1 car for next season because he has money to back him up and he was this years GP2 champion, Also Chandok is great friends with Bernie Ecclestone who wants him in a car for next year because of the Indian GP.

Pretty much spot on. There were rumours of Kubica moving to Ferrari :O but I don't see it happening. By the way Lotus will be running a Cosworth engine next season. :P

Shocking injury to button

i don't know why i fell for that :'(

Nah, just an attempt at a sarcastic joke. I wish they'd stick with Cosworth. The benefits of an engine swap may not be all that big if they're not working more on other areas of the car. Plus they're already the best of the backmarkers.

Well the thing with Lotus swapping to Renault is that now they can use the Red Bull gearbox and rear suspension which is the best on the grid, It can also be packaged better and the associated hydralic system is alot more reliable than the xtrac system they are using now. Plus the Renault engine is considered to be most fuel effiecent so they will be able to start with less fuel and less weight. It is a shame that they are not going to be using the Cosworth engine its not a bad engine as Williams have shown. Things are looking good for Lotus for next season, they will have the same engine and gearbox as Red Bull, improved aerodynamics and a seasons more experience, i wouldnt be suprised to see them on pace with Torro Rosso and maybe Sauber.

Will be interesting to see how well Virgin and Hispania can develop over the winter.

Also the Korean GP is taking place after inspections Yesterday and today.

the FIA need to get their scheduling in order especially for the Asian rounds not so much Japan but in places closer to the equator. If they are going to run race during the monsoon season-don't do it in the middle of the afternoon, that's when the bigger storms happen. Either run it earlier or run later. You'll continue to see more and more events compromised by tropical storms like Malaysia last year. SFW if Europe has to get up 1 hour earlier or 1 hour later. The rest of the world gets up at ungodly hours to watch the European races.

The reason for this is TV rights, since most watchers are in Europe. The same principle applies for the FIFA WC. Thats why the time schedule is set like that. Its really hard to give all tracks the right schedule. European tracks host mainly in the European summer, the same applies for the southern hemisfere tracks. That leaves most Asian tracks to be placed at beginning or near the ending of the season. Another influencing fact, is the the addition of Asian tracks in recent years. Next year there will be another one INDIA GP. 20 years ago, there was only the Australian and Japanese GP, now we have at least 4 more (Korean, Malaysian, Abu Dhabi, Bahrein)

Note: I consider the Middle East, as part of the Asian tour...

You Favorite Track?
After watching the eventful Korean Gp and deciding i quite like the new circuit i thought it would be good to see who everybody's favorite F1 circuits are (past and present)

Present: i think my favorite is Canada circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Past: difficult one, i'm far too young to have seen the banked Monza or the Nordshleife in action... i think i would have to go for either Brands Hatch or Osterreichring

Your thoughts please :)

I think the red bull will be strong in Brazil but Ferrari will be strong in Abu Dhabi, which to me is the worst ever F1 track. If Alonso wins in Interlagos the title is a certainty as long as he has to top 5 finish in Abu Dhabi

Present Favourite Singapore
Past Favourite pre 2000's Spa, Belgium

As for rafmarinello Brazil comment, in the recent past its been a Ferrari Track and I cant see this changing this season. Uncertain about Abu Dhabi. I think Alonso will edge the Championship unless one driver wins both the remaining races.

Yes but in the past you never had redbull as a championship contendor and last year they didn't have this high downforce style either,

webber won brazil last year so they should be good there

What a race weekend! I loved how RBR wanted to use the rain as an excuse to get maximum points while Lewis just wanted to go out and race. Chuffed for Alonso. If he or Vettel wins the championship I'll be happy.

favourite tracks: spa and monza
favourite new: singapore

As per the championship, I just want to see Abu Dhabi, with at least 3-4 drivers still fighting for the nr1 spot. I guess we all agree that Button is basically out of the that race. For that to happen, Alonso must basically have a failure in his car in Interlagos, and Webber a max of 3rd place. Maybe Hamilton 1st, and Vettel 2nd?

Favourite tracks past: Adelaide Street Circuit, Gilles Villenueve Circuit, Jacarepagua GP Brazil
Favourite tracks present: Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Korean GP looks promising ( for you Trivaldo, KORENA, :))

Possibly a four way battle for the title in Abu Dhabi between Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel and Webber?

Interlagos is a Ferrari stronghold, so barring a car failure or other major incident it's Alonsos to lose, if I'm going to be honest I think it will only be Webber and Alonso in the chase by the final race, Vettel is a little further behind and Hamilton seems to be poor under pressure (see China & Brazil 2008), he just has a habit of making silly mistakes.

Alonso should win the title, I would love to see Webber win because he's a class act and a gentleman inside and outside the car, but Alonso has so much more experience in chasing the title, and I fully expect him to take championship number 3.

I already think that next season will be a straight fight between Vettel and Webber, Red Bull have the quickest car and should iron out their reliability issues.

Favourite tracks past:
Monza Oval
Osterreichring
Old Hochenheim
Old Nurburgring
and Donington Park
because of that lap by Senna and it's about 10 miles from where I'm living atm :D

Favourite present tracks:
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Istanbul Park
Interlagos
Spa
Suzuka
Also looking good is Korea, a good mix of high speed blasts and medium-speed technical corners.
