Forum Design Changes: What do you think?

Slightly off topic but has anyone struggled to get on today ? Or is it just me ?

Hmm. Don't like the increased font size, have had to ctrl- it...is there a way to change it permanently on this forum? (sorry if someone has already asked).

Not overly keen on the new sidebar but will get used to it. Like how the threads look now also....although I still think the Edit, Quote etc buttons suck ha :p

I have created a 'small-font' version. You can change the style at the bottom left corner of the forums.

Glad you like the new thread layout. I think I'll have a look for some different Edit (etc...) buttons tomorrow too and see if there are any better ones around.
 
Sean, I have now gotten used the layout and like it... but I'd just like to say the new colour for the admins.

Such as you and Lee hurts my eyes when you see who posted last... the green is very bright when it is on the kind of grey/white background but not so bad on the dark background.

Just like to know why the colour of it was changed.

Can you show me somewhere it is used (by screenshot preferably) as the only place I'm aware that it shows on the light grey background is the 'Currently Active Users' and also the 'Users Viewing Thread'.

I changed it because the red colour didn't really work well on the new dark grey background.

Turn your brightness and contrast down mate, doesn't hurt my eyes at all and my brightness is bumped up quite a bit. Infact I quite like the colours in the mods/admins etc username's, they look quite nice (H)

I must say though, I'm loving this Recent Thread bar, just works really well, especially for the news, for instance, I wouldn't have known Liverpool's owners just lost 42mil because of their inability to finance properly because I don't have Sky Sport News on at this time of night due to the constant loop every half an hour.
 
i like it, whilst on the subject on the forum, with the threads is there anyway you can remove other users messages on your thread? or remove polls?

He means when the username is on a light grey background such as...

Glad you like the Recent Threads bit. I think I'll keep it in the top right corner, it seems quite popular there.
 
This is about the only place I could find another one this was on the front page from the random screenie folders.

OK. Well I know it's annoying but I think it only happens in 3 or 4 places (and none of them that important) so I think I'll just leave it how it is for now.

You can see a users thanked posts on their profile under the Statistics tab.
 
The Guardian 'spambot' is a nice addition. I usually check their website daily anyways, but it's handy to have stuff I haven't read flagged too. Good stuff :)
