So, like I said above - Take off "Tackle Harder" instructions from the CDs and the CWBs. It sometimes causes bad tackles which lead to goalscoring opportunities for the opponents and also to a lot of bookings.


You'll find the tactic to be more solid this way. Also, use the Opposition Instructions from the OP - I find them to work quite well.

Changes;
CWB's A - changed to FB's S
Hard tackling taken off FB, CD and MCL.

RB takes all RH set pieces, LB the left ones. OI's from OP.

Aggressively demand more shout at 70 minutes regardless of score.

Aye but you can muck about with FK's. Change if you have a great DFK taker
 
Going to test this with Sassulo, I think Domenico would play well in the F9 role.
 
1st Season Complete

So, I just completed my first season with Manchester United using the Scotia Tactic. The only changes I made was to remove the "Tackle Harder" instruction from all my defenders. The new Scotia 4 tactic seems to have included those changes, so I'll probably use that for my next season.

This is definitely the best tactic so far - very solid and realistic, while scoring a lot of goals. I did score my fair share from corners and IFKs, but that is quite a small percentage of the goals I actually scored from open play (see screenshots). I did reload my game a few times, but not because of bad scores - only because of freak matches where I had 3-4 players injured for minimum 1 month each after the match! (I won all those matches by big margins, though.)

At the end of the season, I won the League, Capital One Cup and the F.A. Cup. CL next season! :D

The SS have all the details, and some results against the strong teams in the league (and one of the high-scoring fun results).

Did you make any other changes, based on how the game was evolving, EX: getting dominated, defense under performing, park the bus teams?

I didn't need to make any other changes since my team was performing very very consistently throughout. For a few matches (against Arsenal and Man City, I think) where strong teams can play fast, counter-attacking football I may have changed to a deeper defensive line and no offside trap during the matches if I was getting countered too fast.


The new scotia4 tactic is far more solid even for such games, from what I can tell so far. So give it a try.
