****** Bordeaux again!! 3 times now we've met in the EL Playoff! The money did allow an increase in the training facilities which will be the last one for a while as I want to keep the money for youth facility improvement only.

Reaching the 3rd Qualifying round seems to be the norm now and we matched that feat again after disposing of Rapid Vienna in a nervy 2nd leg tie. In the end, Champions League regulars FC Basel proved too strong.

No chance of even getting a point I fear. Scoring a goal or two will be an achievement. The increase in finances is all that matters here as we increased our junior coaching to an 'excellent' level which is a vital step. I'll ask the board to invest in youth facilities shortly as well with over 2,000,000 in the bank.

A first ever Europa League campaign ended almost as expected as we lost most games. A few goals and a point against Genk look impressive and it was except when you look at how the match unfolded and you'll wonder how we didn't win...

A well deserved win over Ventspilis in the 2nd Qual Rnd set up a 3rd Qual Rnd against the Serbian giants Partizan.
I didn't expect much as this is usually where we would exit the CL qualifiers.

A hard fought 2 legged fight with Partizan ended with a 5-3 aggregate win for the minnows from Andorra.
This is the now the furthest we've been in the Champions League!

A remarkable performance!! Even though this was a pivotal game I felt more confident here than I did in the previous round against Partizan. The Playoff draw was kind to us and we took full advantage of the kindness.
A tactical switch to Counter at half time in the second leg proved a masterstroke as we hit Haifa on the break 3 times as they tried to fight there way back into the game.

Let's be honest here... We have absolutely no chance in this group! Sneaking a goal or two at home to Benfica or Galatasaray will be considered a good group campaign!
But again, the enormous prize is what really matters. The board have already agreed to invest 1,800,000 in training upgrades and 1,600,000 in youth upgrades which are both 'Adequate' now. The extra money has also enable us to increase junior coaching to an 'exceptional' level which should increase the quality of youth team players coming into the club.

As seen earlier, we had an epic run through the qualifiers to seal a first ever CL Group Stage campaign. Like the qualifiers, the group stage exceeded all expectations as we done the double over Galatasaray to seal 3rd spot and a place in the Europa League after the New Year.

Hardly world beaters which is why I'm so surprised we are doing as well in Europe as we are. Hopefully when the club goes professional and the league rises up the world rankings (we are 79th now) we can start to bring in some good foreign players.
It won't help the national team but they don't ever sack the manager so I have to wait for about another 10 years before he retires so screw the national team!
