Hello :)

I created a tactical system with Wolfsburg that started out as a counter project but turned into a more controlling versatile tactic with some nice football being played.

So I decided to make a Crystal Palace test and they played great football.
Striker scoring - AMs performing! Does it ryhme?

Chamack bagged 31 goals and became PL top scorer. All 3 AMs (Bolaise, Williams, Zaha) had ratings of 7.7 +.

What we want from a 4-2-3-1 basically, striker scoring, AMs playing great.

This is my goal and what I was looking for. I wanted the striker to score and especially the AP to perform and it worked out really well.

I did this test using FMRTE. Which means I had tactic fully fluid from the start of the season.
I also sometimes used (quick result) which I dont completley trust. Thats why I want you to plug this tactic and show me your result here from a fully non-FMRTE test.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Training

Experiment. I was playing with Crystal P so I used Def positioning most of the matches.
Balanced traning, only allow rest if u play in europe or in the winter with lots of matches.

Def positioning works great, but try some attack position too especially if u got a good team.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OP Stuff.

I know a lot of user on FM base like to plug and play and so. To really get those extra wins and goals you need corner bug and these kind of stuff like any tactic here on the forum.
With wolfsburg I won easily but I think u need corner bug to do this well with a team like Crystal Palace.
I only make tactical system and not this stuff.

Therefore I added set pieces from MONSTROUS PLUG & PLAY (credits to totalfootballfan9)
And also OI from there which is great for avoiding cross goals.

This will make sure u get the tactic plug n play and get those extra wins.
If not u can remove this and just play the tactic without corner bug or OI. I would advice to use some OI though (anti cross) since 4-2-3-1 is vulnerable to crosses.

DL/DR takes corners

In game actions

You cant just sit back. You have to "work" the victory. if you are loosing 0-1 half time against Burnley, you have to be agressive, constant "demand more" "push forward". Make early subs.

If u are loosing 0-1 away against chelsea, encourage is the better option.
Learn these stuff and also get a park the bus tactic from the forum to get even better results.

So use another tactic sometimes to switch things up so the AI dont read you too easily.

OTHER NOTES

I was originally going for the double BBM midfielders. But had to put a CM (D) for balance.
Maybe it could work with a better team. Feel free to improve the tactic and the defence could be better.

Please test this tactic with your team and show me your results.

Remember to have 2 other tactics in your slot, one to switch things up and one to park the bus.
I did this plug and play and Im sure this is good plug n play but u can get even better results.

Cheers

oh oh, another great and interesting tactic to have a go with - we're really getting spoiled on this forum :)

Yeah please have a go with it :)
We wont know how good the tactic is until different ppl make tests with different teams

I dont completley trust FMRTE and quick results
Maybe that gives the team too much of a bonus

We will see

Gonna try it with FC Köln(Cologne) in the german bundesliga, predicted 17th :)

Going to test this with Norwich! Do you always use control for small teams? Btw, first season.

yeah control worked great with Palace
If you are going to counter you need more attack roles in the team
Right now as u can see ppl are looking to support and play a passing game

If you want to counter I would suggest changing some roles and PI
Wingers on attack duty is great for counter
I would put the whole front 4 on attack, both fullbacks and CMs on Defend if i was gonna counter

You could also try standard mentality and change nothing
You can maybe start first to test with the tactic how it is and then see

Maybe you can improve it/spot some weakness

Nice one Wampley let me know if u play some more games
Striker can be a bit inconsistent, one game he can bag 5 and then go 3 games without a goal and so on

Usually I get my advanced forward consistent
I almost always use advanced forward
And yeah I only create/play with 4-2-3-1 tactics and advanved forward just works great with me

I always hated strikers with support roles :D

Kalle- would this work in FMC without the oi's?

Yes the tactical system would work perfectly fine but maybe not as plug and play tactic
The thing is if you want to plug n play u really gotta spice up ur tactic with some OP stuff like corner bug and OIs

I dont plug and play myself, but that is what people want and how you present your tactic on FM base :)
Therefore I added this stuff so people (hopefully) can plug and play this tactic

It would be great if you tried this tactic in FMC, Im sure it could work out
Maybe make a little counter version for though away games perhaps
and try play with standard mentality too

After 4 games I have 2 wins and 2 loss. Nothing special.

tactic fluid? defensive stats and physcial on CMs?
In game talks?
Send me your save file maybe

Tacic needs great players in CM position..
I used Lucas Romero and Luis gustavo here for example in wolfsburg..

1 match plug n play 2nd season

League Table

Squad

Gotta say this tactic is amazing I started using it from the Southampton league game down and it has been nothing but brilliant for me. As you can see also I haven't got the strongest of squads after gaining promotion back to the premiership for the first time after Portsmouth were relegated to L2 after the financial crisis irl all them years ago.

Nice results u got there, great to hear.
I hope/think it will get better as the tactic gets more fluid. I did a much better spring with Palace than autumn

Right now I cant get the tactic working with my Bradford side (2018)
I use Zuculini as CM (D) and he cant win challenges despite good defensive stats

With Palace I hade jedinak. So get a player like him to play CM(D)
as for box to box it should be a complete player with great work rate
This is important to get right I think

As for wingers.
Ive had both the inside forward type and the winger performing great football
This means, a Right footed player on left for example, scores a lot, a right footed on the right also get very high ratings

So se what works for you when it comes to wingers

AP should be a great playmaker.
I can imagine Özil would do quite well in this tactic

tjenna ska testa denna med ifk göteborg =) tänkte fråga om du skulle kunna fixa till ett sökfilter för spelare för varje position ?? skulle vara hur shysst som helst =)

I only know some attributes that are important for players
I cant tell stuff like "winger need 16 + agility" I have no idea :D i can just say for example, agility is important

Physicality + defending on CM (d)
complete midfielder on box to box
Generally good passing on all mids, great playmaker needed on AP spot, pace on the wings
Complete forward for advanced forward spot
Pacey aggressive CBs

Tactic potential
I think its safe to say that it can do it on a cold night in Stoke?
