Fulfilling Walcotts potential

Now everybody says that Walcott becomes class and I seen lots of pics of him at like 20-21 with 16-18 stats for dribbling, crossing, first touch, finishing ,technique, passing and composure yet right now his currently 20 years old (not far of 21 either) and he doesn't even seem to be near as good as what I seen him as at that age. I was even more disapointed to see him get lower in stats. Is it that he will happen to reach a point where his stats just boom up suddenly (it happened with Vela on my save). Is it my training?? I mean Vela, Balotelli, Bojan, and Santon have been steadly imrpoving with Vela already world class.

Have you guys had the same issues at first or was he already quality by then??

some players just have crappy stats, i notice that after a season or 3. not sure, just play him alot is all with a good training regime should work. never had him before so im not sure dude, some players just go through a bad patch in training and will pick back up after a while.
 
Im sure the training is something to do with it. Maybe create a schedule just for him.
 
On my games he never has good stats but with the stats he has dose good i mean his pace ect ect is ace and he can dribble and cross the ball so he is a good winger

my point exactly, dont you think that he would develop with passing to at least 15 and technique to at least 16 and some more mental stats above 12 at least!

its very strange, i have never had him so i cant relate, but your Walcott, besides his 16 assists looks like a really kak player that i would never want to buy!

And that amount of assists is pretty pathetic, he had 32 assists for me one season... :/
 
I played him constantly for 4 seasons at AMR, that became his natural position and his stats were amazing :)
 
I do have a seperate training schedule for him(I pretty much do for all my starting 11 and promising players) and even for his stats he performs well for me. He rips through players as if he has 17 or more dribbling and his crosses are always like as if they were 17 or more. But still am a little dissapointed that his not as good as he can really become.
 
I've only played one full season with Arsenal, he improved a little bit, it said he was a Leading Star Prem player by the end of the season, but he wasn't full potential
 
yeah, i think his stats are underrated in Fm09, i must say. he is much better that what some of his stats look like on some of these posts.
he needs better stats i must say! and i dont even like Aresenal, in fact i hate them! hahahah XD

hahahhaaha hhaahha XD my 5 best mates here in South Africa are Aresenal supporters! one has recently changed to Chelsea though! i dont hate them, i just have too (A)
 
I'm currently playing my AFC Wimbledon save in the year 2011-2012 and I had a look at Walcott's stats, and they aren't to bad

my mate went from liverpool supporter to real madrid supporter yet he still calls me a glory supporter:S
 
i know, what a ******. he is from Holland, so his favourite team is Ajax but 2 yrs ago he decided to just change from Aresenal to Chelsea. how can you change your team??
i must admit that i have always been a fan of Tottenham :p and i think what Moyes was :D doing at Everton (not at the moment) is brilliant too!

what does Walcott look like when he is about 28 or so in his prime?
i still think he is completely overrated.
 
Um I remember finding a photoe of him when he was abosultely world class in the game I will post it if I can find it. Try searching Walcott in the "ask for players screenshot" thread.

By the way........................I am ashamed to share this but I use to be a Man Utd supporter...BUT I WAS YOUNG AND STUPID (younger and stupider that is :p) and only liked em cos of Beckham, Scholes and Van Nistelrooy....then Arsenal came along :D

got him in my arsenal game, second season, worth 23M€, his stats are pretty bad but he just pwnz
