Month of January update

New signing joins Fulham squad:
Young striker Mevlüt Erdinç is the new reinforcement and came from PSG for a fee of £17.500.000 .

FA Cup 3rd round – Leeds vs Fulham:
Great debut for Erdinç scoring two goals today and guaranteeing Fulham´s passage to the next round. The final result of 1-2 doesn´t show how Fulham dominated this match. Leeds had only one shot on goal and that one went in, while Fulham tried their luck over 20 times.

FA Cup 4th round draw:
Ipswich will be playing against Fulham in this stage of the competition.

League Cup semi final 1st leg – Man City vs Fulham:
A good game by both sides playing attractive attacking football, neglecting the defensive duties a bit though. Now it´ll be up to Fulham to create a good performance in the 2nd leg when playing with the home advantage. New Fulham signing Erdinç got injured and will be out 2 weeks.

Tottenham vs Fulham:
Fulham lost this match by 1-0 and can consider themselves lucky not having lost this match by a higher margin. Modric scored the only goal today and got his team the 3 points.

Injury update:
Smalling will miss the match agaisnt Everton due to injury. Etuhu will also be out for about a week. That makes it six players now that Fulham´s manager Beleza can´t count on.

Everton vs Fulham:
Another narrow loss for Fulham, losing 3-2 in the final minutes of the game, after being in the lead by 1-2. A balanced match between two teams with Everton able to recover from a poor performance in the first half.

Injury update:
Smalling will be back in action against Man City.

Fulham vs Man City:
Good performance by Fulham, dominating the first half of the game. Leading 3-1 at half time they got complacent in the second half and almost allowed Man City to get back into the game. Beleza will be pleased with the final score of 3-2 adding another 3 points in the league.

Injury update:
Cícero will be back to help his team in the next match.

League Cup semi final 2nd leg - Fulham vs Man City:
Extra time was needed for this match to decide a winner. With a result of 1-2 at the end of regular time it was Caicedo who got the win for Man City in extra time. Fulham are out of this competition now. And Konchesky will be out for over a month due to a twisted ankle.

Injury update:
Etuhu and Erdinç are now fit as well.

FA Cup 4th round – Fulham vs Ipswich:
Erdinç seems to enjoy the cup games and scored another two today, giving his team the win. Although the final result was 2-1, Fulham were never really threatened by the opposition.

FA Cup 5th round draw:
Liverpool are the next team in Fulham´s way.

Stoke vs Fulham:
A very balanced match beetween both sides that knew to entertain the supporters. The Fulham side will be happier with the outcome though, winning 2-3. Toraman got injured and will be out for atleast a week.

Injury update:
Kewell and Polak will be back for the last game of this month.

Job offer:
Dortmund offered Fulham´s manager Beleza a contract to take over the vacant post. Beleza doesn´t seem interested in taking the position though.

Fulham vs Watford:
Solid performance by Fulham, winning the match 3-0. Watford were never able to form a decent attacking move and even the attempt to park the bus infront of goal failed.

January Transfer window

Only one player joined Fulham´s side while one was sent out for loan. Mevlüt Erdinç came from PSG to reinforce the attacking position. Andranik was loaned out to Toulouse.

Month Of February update

Fulham vs Newcastle:
Good performance by Fulham in the first half. Already being in the lead by half-time with a score of 3-0 the second half turned out to be far less exciting. Erdinç is on fire at the moment and added another 2 goals to the list.

Portsmouth vs Fulham:
A totally dominating Portsmouth wasn´t able to convert most of the many chances they had and ended up losing this game to Fulham 1-2. Polak will be out injured again, he´ll be out for almost a month.

Injury update:
Toraman and Konchesky will now be available again for the match against Liverpool. Omozusi on the other hand will be out for 2 weeks.

FA Cup 5th round - Liverpool vs Fulham:
Such a clear win by Fulham surely wasn´t expected by many. Liverpool were overrun today and lost 0-3, an absolute stunning performance by the Cottagers.

FA Cup 6th round draw:
Fulham will be playing Arsenal or West Ham next.

EURO Cup 1st knockout round 1st leg – Brugge vs Fulham:
A balanced match between both sides, with only Fulham being able to convert their chances. The win by 0-2 will bring them a step further to qualify for the next round.

Chelsea vs Fulham:
The Cottagers may have gotten overconfident and weren´t able to cope with Chelsea´s force. A loss by 4-2 gives Chelsea a 12 point lead now with their closest followers being Tottenham with one match less played and Fulham.

EURO Cup 1st knockout round 2nd leg – Fulham vs Brugge:
Solid win by Fulham who´ll be playing against Rubin in the next round. Although Brugge had more chances, it was Fulham who knew how to make the most of theirs. With 3-1 being the final score, it was an exciting match to watch.

Injury update:
Polak is likely to make his return against Blackburn.

Fulham vs Blackburn:
A narrow win for Fulham by just 1-0. Many chances were created especially by the Cottagers, but only Erdinç was able to put one in the net. Blackburn´s El-Hadji Diouf got sent off during the match.

Month of March update

Fulham vs Aston Villa:
A good performance by Fulham was rewarded with 3 points. Kewell score a hattrick in today´s match that the Cottagers dominated. After being 4-0 ahead Fulham´s side started getting a bit complacent which allowed the opposition to score 2 goals of their own.

FA Cup 6th round – Arsenal vs Fulham:
And another match with many goals, Again the score ended 4-2 this time round it was Fulham that lost though. Erdinç well tried to keep his team going, but even his two goals didn´t make a difference in the end. Another competition that Fulham won´t be taking part in any further.

Job offer:
Schalke stepped up to bring Beleza to Germany as manager for their club. Unless there´s a strong wish by Fulham´s current manager to leave, it is unlikely that he´ll take the current offer under consideration.

EURO Cup 2nd knockout round 1st leg – Rubin vs Fulham:
Fulham demolished their opponents today. With a 2-5 win it´s almost certain that they´ll get to the next round. Already being behind after a goal from Kewell in the 1st minute of the game and with Rubin´s Ponce sent off in the 5th minute, the tactical structure fell apart. With the half-time score at 1-4, Fulham´s side lacked some focus for the rest of the match.

Liverpool vs Fulham:
An underperforming Fulham squad was no match for Liverpool today. Liverpool are increasing the pressure being just behind Fulham in the league table. This loss by 2-0 will make it harder for the Cottagers to stay in the top three.

Injury update:
Santana will be out for 2 weeks.

EURO Cup 2nd knockout round 2nd leg – Rubin vs Fulham:
Andy Jonhson guaranteed the passage to the quarter final with his two goals today. Rubin never managed to create any real threat, and having lost the 1st leg they didn´t have enough confidence to fight back.

EURO Cup quarter final draw:
Fulham will play Fenerbahçe in this stage of the competition.

EURO Cup semi final draw:
If Fulham make it to this round they´ll be playing against Everton or Panathinaikos.

Player unavailability:
Due to international duties Kamara and Pantsil won´t be available for the next match.

Fulham vs Sunderland:
2-1 was the result at the end of the game.With Fulham creating many chances, they managed to get a solid lead of 2-0, both goals by Erdinç. After that it was Sunderland who dominated and were able to score a goal to get back in the game. In the end it wasn´t enough and the Cottagers got the 3 points.

Injury update:
Santana unlike Kelly, will be available again for the match against Wolves.
 
Month of April update

Wolves vs Fulham:
Good performance by Fulham, that was rewarded with a win by 2-4. Erdinç fot another two goals on his record and has now 17 goals in 16 matches. It was a fairly balanced match, but Fulham were better with the finishing.

Injury update:
Kelly is fit again for the Fenerbahçe match.

EURO Cup quarter final 1st leg – Fulham vs Fenerbahçe:
Another great performance by the Cottagers, winning this one 4-1, they have a good chance to get through to the next round now. Clearly dominating the match there couldn´t have been a different outcome today.

EURO Cup quarter final 2nd leg – Fenerbahçe vs Fulham:
Fulham did just enough to not lose this game today. With 2-2 being the final result it was a decent match to watch. Fulham actually were in the lead twice, but weren´t able to keep the advantage.

Injury update:
Etuhu will miss the EURO Cup semi final matches, due to an injury that´ll keep him out for 3 weeks.

EURO Cup semi final 1st leg – Fulham vs Everton:
Far less exciting than the previous matches this month, this one ended in a 1-1 draw. Everton will be taking a slight advantage to the 2nd leg.

Man Utd vs Fulham:
Rare were the attempts on goal today, but in the end it was Man Utd who got away with the 3 points. Two goals by Rooney sealed the deal for them. Kewell still got on the scoresheet for the Cottagers, but it wouldn´t make a difference anymore.
Chelsea win the league again even though they lost their last match against Man City.

EURO Cup semi final 2nd leg – Everton vs Fulham:
Fulham lose on aggregate. With this match ending in a bore draw of 0-0, Everton are the luckier side and will be in the final due to the away goal they scored.
 
Month of May update

Fulham vs Wigan:
A balanced match between both teams, with Fulham being the luckier side and winning the match by 2-1.Wigan had more chances, but they weren´t able to convert them.

Arsenal vs Fulham:
Dominated by Arsenal, the Cottagers had trouble in building up their play. With two players sent off it was next to impossible to still create any threat. The final result turned out to be of 4-2.

Injury update:
Etuhu will be available for the match against Cardiff.

Cardiff vs Fulham:
Fulham´s Kamara made the difference today in a boring match. 0-1 was the final score and neither side played well. Fulham had more chances, but seemed almost incapable of making something out of them.

Injury update:
Santana will be out for 3 weeks and will now miss the last game of the season against West Ham.

Fulham vs West Ham:
A solid win by 2-0 for Fulham. West Ham weren´t able to fight back and hardly ever tried an attempt on goal. Fulham would´ve deserved a much higher win, but they´ll be happy with the 3 points that now guarantee the 3rd place in the league.
 
With the 2nd season finished i decided to put this story on ice, as i´m not motivated enough to keep it going atm and rather continue another save. Thanks to those who were following this and i hope it was somewhat interesting to read.
