Gary Nevilles Rise in Management

Very strong squad!

You looking to making many signings this season or use what you have at the club(bar the odd new player)?

Yeah I was surprised! I thought they would have had Balanta since they always buy him!

I think I'm going to keep the first time but I will look for young players with good potential.

Preseason & The start of the season

I decided to challenge myself against tough opposition at the start of preseason but I let my assistant take over the games so I wasn't expecting any immaculate results and towards the end of the season I wanted to gain confidence for the squad so I wanted to go up against lesser opposition, so come fourth the season we would be able to play our natural game.

The first game was very promising as we absolutely dominated Southampton and in the process we took our chances, I was extremely pleased with the result and our performance. However, our performance against my former team was abysmal and it was shocking to see... I just couldn't believe how dominant we were the game before and then we deserved nothing from this match. Again, I was distraught with out performance against Newcastle even though we had a goal disallowed... Burnley we managed to get a result but it took us until the 75th minute to get our first goal which was disappointing and finally we were back to our best against Everton, just like the game against Southampton.

So far in our other competitions we have performed in we have been excellent and I've been impressed with our fringe players when they played the second leg against Stade Rennais and also when they played against Brighton.

Also decided that I be making any transfers as I haven't been able to find upgrade on our players we already have at our disposal.

End of September & October Review

I just couldn't believe how we were 2-0 up with 5 minutes to go then blow our lead... I was devastated - especially since it was against one of our fierce rivals. However, our performance throughout the whole of the game was solid and we should build on the game and it reminded the players to keep concentrated till the very last second of the game.

We absolutely dominated Legia, even with a second string team I felt we deserved 2-3 more goals as well as we had about 30 shots and 8 clear cut chances (I think anyways). This game was helpful especially after the Chelsea game as it helped us bounce back from the disappointing result.

Nice, simple, straight forward game. We had no worries as we were solid going forward and defending which I was most pleased with. This is probably down to focusing on defending in training recently - After the Chelsea game. As I DON'T want to concede late goals as it leaves any manager frustrated. Overall, I was glad that we were able to score three goals and not concede.

Kruse, He is amazing, he can score anywhere in the box and barely misses the. This game I couldn't believe it but unfortunately we conceded but none the less we were prolific in front of goal. In my opinion I think Luis Suarez gave pointers to Kruse on how to score at Carrow Road.

We absolutely dominated West Ham... we had a goal disallowed within the first 20 minutes... As usual when you dominate a game.. you concede first. Luckily, we managed a late surge which eventually we scored a late goal to win the match. This was a feeling I hadn't experienced since I was playing under Sir Alex Ferguson where we had a reputation of scoring late in games.

I wasn't too bothered if we had lost this game as it was in the Capital One Cup but it's always nice to win games. More importantly we had won with a second string team as some of my fringe players were able to get a run out and may of also impressed me, which Xhaka had done.

Yet again we scored another late goal! We also dominated the game! However, defensively we are starting to be a bit more fragile which is annoying but at least in the games we have been able to score more goals than our opposition. I was impressed with our domination and ability to keep the ball... especially against Swansea usually play like Barcelona.

Overall I have been pleased with the month as we have gone unbeaten in all competitions which means we can consolidate ourselves in the top 4 if we continue winning and maybe even have a outside chance of winning the title!

Nice to win manager of the month award! I just want to continue our form throughout the season! Hopefully...

Do you want to see the tactic I'm using?

November & December Review

It's been a few months since my return to English football and I've really enjoyed it and feel like I've learnt quite a lot at Arsenal, especially about the different players personalities and how I should handle each player to different differences with a player.

I decided to call the only boss I played for during my playing career to get some advice, Sir Alex Ferguson!

Gary-: "Hey Alex, how are you since retiring?"

Alex-: "I'm good thank you, what you need bud?"

Gary-: "You know since I'm managing one of the biggest clubs in England, arsenal, I was wondering could you give me advice on how to keep good form up?

Alex-: "Well firstly when you get to fixture congestion like in England's December then you have to constantly change your team dependent on the team you face and who you will play after that game. In doing so your players will be near enough 100% ready for each game. Finally constantly tweak your tactic so the opposition can't tell how you're going to play against them."

Gary-: "Thank you Alex. You have taught me a lot with what to do with the lads."

Disappointing game, we had dominated the game against CSKA... Unfortunately Welbeck can't score which means I'm seriously contemplating to sell him as he gets many but however this draw meant that we had qualified for the knockout stages which I was happy with.

Good quality win over a team we should be beating if we want to finish in the top 4 - no disrespect to Hull. We played with confidence throughout the whole of the pitch and kept the ball away from Hull for long periods of the game which I enjoyed as it meant without the ball they couldn't score. Obviously.

WHAT A RESULT! I couldn't believe it. Result of the season? We played man city off the park. They couldn't us and we managed to keep hold of the ball extremely well and in the process we were extremely clinical when we had the opportunity which I was glad about. It was also a victory for me personally as they're a rival as well as Liverpool to me.

This game was not quite as good as last game.. but however we were brilliant in the game as we managed to secure top spot of the group so hopefully (fingers crossed) we won't get a Barcelona or Bayern Munich esk team. Overall the game was excellent as we were away from home in the champions league, which is always difficult when in Europe as well.

Rested players for the games ahead and still manage to romp to victory. Weirdly, we scored all our goals by the 26th minute which I thought we could have gone on to score more goals. None the less it was a great performance by our second team.

The biggest game of the season for the fans as spurs visited The Emirates. What a result for the fans! However we were abysmal as we ended up going to counter by the 30th minute as everything was just spurs. Luckily we managed to grab a victory which the fans deserve against our fierce rival!

The 'Arsenal hammer QPR' just says it all really. We only lacked the cutting edge in front of goal which was unfortunate but it happens to the best of teams but we still manage to win 2-0 against a very good QPR side - well on FM they're good.

View attachment 238628
Such a frustrating game. We had so many opportunities to win but we didn't take the chances and we were paid our price for not taking them. Our good run of form had to come to an end one day or another, just a shame it was against stoke. ****** stoke. Well a point is better than none I guess..

We were unlucky in this match as we had 2 goals disallowed... However we should have take our 7 clear cut chances and again Welbeck played this game and disappointed me... But I have to give credit to Reading for getting a game plan and sticking to it which worked out very well for them.

The following day, I had a tough day as I told Steve to get Xhaka, Mertesacker, Walcott and Welbeck to come to my office..

Gary-: "Hey guys, I've got a message for all 4 of you about your future at this club..."

Walcott-: "What is it boss?"

Gary-: "I'm sorry guys, I personally don't think you can make the grade here at Arsenal.. I will look to sell you as soon as possible."

Welbeck-: "Why boss? Why you telling us now?"

Gary-: "I wanted to give everyone at the club to prove themselves and I gave you half a season to impress me.. which you didn't except for Mertesacker. The only reason I'm selling you is because you're too old and I personally don't think you can keep up with the modern day striker.. I'm generally sorry, it was a tough call to make.."

Walcott-: "I do understand but hopefully I can work hard in training and when I get a chance in the first team to change your mind."

Xhaka-: "I think it's best as I wasn't getting enough first team football for my liking."

Gary-: "See ya lads, Good luck in the future!"

Right Guys, I'm going to end this story as it keeps crashing everytime I advance a day... I've tried everything to fix it... I've tried test saves and I can advanced so sorry guys, however a new story will be out tonight though...
